Abstract: A low-profile expandable ring structure comprising a plurality of coupled blocks each maintaining a degree of translational movement with respect to each other. Each block has one or more protruding tubes on the front side, which are inserted into openings of the adjacent block. A tensioned spring is passed through the internal channel of each block, which maintains the ring structure in a closed appearance but allows expansion of the ring structure through the translational movement of the blocks. This nature allows the expandable ring structure to be comfortable for the wearer.

Abstract: An extensible ornamental item comprising an annular element formed by a plurality of meshes and an elastic ring mounted passing through each mesh, each mesh having a female element and a male element constrained in a mutually movable manner to the male element and to the female element, respectively, of the two adjacent meshes, each male element comprising a tubular body provided with flaps comprising a slot, each female element comprising a central body, a circular hole, two circular openings and two pairs of pins. Each pin is adapted to engage in the respective slot of the male element.

Abstract: As shown in one preferred embodiment, a two-blade vice-type nail clipper comprising a thin safety-cover-guard with ergonomic upward angle and wrap-around safety edges, that is permanently mounted just below said nail clipper's lower cutting blade and that follows or mirrors the shape of said nail clipper's lower cutting surface, including wrapping around the sharp sides, corners and edges of said lower cutting surface, so as to provide an industry advancing level of nail cutting safety with minimal invasiveness.

Abstract: An electrically-powered nail cutting apparatus includes a housing having a front face and a rear face, two sides, a top and a bottom. The front face of the housing having an open slot at least 0.5 mm in height and between 0.7 cm and 4 cm in width, the slot having a front-facing opening and a rear-facing opening. Within the housing and proximal to the rear-facing opening is a vertically translating nail-cutting blade plate associated with an electric motor that is configured to translate the nail-cutting blade plate consecutively down and up. The blade plate is a solid material having an opening therein, wherein the top of the opening comprises a cutting blade with a cutting edge within the opening such that the cutting edge is adjacent the rear-facing element.

Abstract: A jewelry item is provided to include a ring-shaped spring and a ring-shaped chain. The ring-shaped chain has a plurality of chain links, each of which is slidably attached to the ring-shaped spring. Each chain link has a plate with a first surface facing the spring and a second surface opposite to the first surface. Each chain link further has a seat and a hook opposite to each other. The hook is inserted into a seat of a subsequent chain link so as to lock the chain links to each other while allowing the chain links to reversibly slide from a compressed position to an expanded position with respect to each other.

Abstract: A fingernail clipper holding device includes a housing having a hollow interior and having a generally ellipsoid ergonomic configuration that is easy to grip. An upper portion of the housing may include a channel having a configuration to receive the housing of a fingernail clipping device and to hold it securely. The housing defines a receiving area on which a user may position his finger adjacent the cutting head of the fingernail clipping device. A gripping member is attached to a lower portion of the housing to receive a user's fingers or hand. Stabilizing members may be attached to the bottom surface of the lower portion to hold the housing stationary on a flat surface.

Abstract: A nail clipping and catchment apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a flexible breathable backing layer having a shape, and a window layer having substantially the same shape as the backing, and being mated to an edge of the backing by an upper seam sufficient to create a pouch, the pouch for catching and containing nail clippings. The apparatus further includes a number of openings in the window layer, the plurality of openings including opposing hand openings on opposite sides of a bottom portion of the pouch near the edge and separated by a lower seam between the breathable backing layer and the window layer, the opposing hand openings each for receiving a nail-bearing extremity of a human. The apparatus further includes one or more pockets positioned on an outer surface of the pouch, the one or more pockets each having an access opening aligned toward the upper seam of the pouch.

Abstract: A nail clipper and light combination assembly includes a clipper that has a first arm with a first end and a second end and a second arm with a first end and a second end. The first ends of the first and second arms are attached together. The clipper includes a pair of blades and each of the second ends has one of the blades attached thereto. The blades extend toward each other. The second ends are biased away from each other. A lever is mechanically coupled to the first and second arms. The lever has a free end that is movable toward the first and second arms to urge the blades together in a cutting motion. A light emitter is attached to the clipper to emit light toward the second ends from above the first arm when the light emitter is turned on.

The housing defines a cavity and an opening that accesses the cavity. The corn removal device also includes a blade attached to the housing adjacent to the opening. The blade is adapted to remove corn kernels from the surface of the ear of corn and guide the corn kernels through the opening and into the cavity for storage.

Abstract: A manicuring appliance comprising a hand held center section with proximal and distal end sections each of which may be detachable from the center section. Each end section may have a lip shaped to bear against the base of the cuticle. The distal end section comprises a pusher for shaping the cuticle and prepare it for cutting by the proximal end section. The proximal end section includes a cutting blade positioned to properly cut or trim the cuticle along an arc which follows the arc of the cuticle base as the user moves the appliance along the cuticle. Various alternative embodiments of the proximal cutting section are disclosed.

Abstract: A skin treating implement, a callus removing hand piece, is used to remove skin calluses. The hand piece is connected to a vacuum suction device. The hand piece has a main body that is bent at a certain degree for greater usability. Below the bend, there is a detachable mount for a cutter with a desired shape. In the upper part of the main body, connectors with nipples can be mounted to be inserted into a suction tube connectable to a vacuum device to ensure compatibility with the suction device. Because the lower portion of the main body of the hand piece is bent, it facilitates removing calluses and permits mounting and unmounting cutters permitting a choice of cutter appropriate for the king of callus to be removed. Connectors with nipples of suitable diameters permit use of suction tubes of existing high-priced vacuum suction devices to make the callus removing hand piece economical. A disposable sheet fixer injection molded with synthetic resins is attachable to the cutter.

More specifically, in configuring this hand piece 1 connected to the vacuum suction device 100, the lower part of the main body 10 of the above mentioned hand piece 1 is bent at a certain degree for greater usability. Abstract: A device for removing callouses, especially in chiropody, is provided. A functional element is exchangeably arranged on a handle. To make mounting easy and safe, the functional element can be clamped between a front mounting segment of the handle and a fastening element that is articulated on the mounting segment. In a first position, the fastening element is pivotable about a pivot axis that runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the handle. In a second position, the fastening element is displaceable relative to the handle via guides provided on the mounting segment. The fastening element can be fixed in a positive manner to the mounting segment by being displaced in the direction toward a rear handling segment of the handle.
