Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein include a method and apparatus for stripping resist from a substrate without using high concentrations of toxic chemicals and without needing frequent bath replacement. Techniques include using a chemistry that lifts-off the resist, without substantially dissolving the resist, coupled with mechanically breaking removed resist into small particles using mechanical agitation and high fluid flow. Resist particles can then be removed from the vicinity of the wafer by a high-flow circulation out of a processing tank. Circulating flow can then be filtered to remove the resist particles from the circulating fluid and reintroduced into the processing tank. A filtering system can also remove particles from filters either during circulation or with circulation stopped.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes a filtration system that can be configured in a chopping or filtration only arrangement. A check valve cover attached to an accumulator is inserted into a main intake of a sump and divides the main intake into a fluid recirculation chamber in communication with a recirculation intake port, and a separate fluid draining chamber in communication with a drain port. When a drain pump is actuated, fluid is pulled from the accumulator through the drain port until pressure within the fluid draining chamber drops below the pressure of the sump and a check valve in the check valve cover is forced open, allowing fluid to be channeled out of the fluid recirculation chamber into the fluid draining chamber. Optionally, a fine filter system can replace the convertible filtration system, whereby the main intake is in fluid communication with both the recirculation intake port and the drain port.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes a controller controlling a cleaning cycle, a screen system for filtering a wash fluid, a circulation chamber and a collection chamber in fluid communication with the circulation chamber via a screen arrangement, a circulation pump for circulating the wash fluid and a drain pump for pumping out the wash fluid. During the cleaning cycle, to detect blockage in the screen arrangement, a degree of transmission in the circulation chamber filled with wash fluid is determined with an optical turbidity sensor in a first measuring step. The wash fluid is then pumped out of the collection chamber and the degree of transmission in the circulation chamber is again determined in a second measuring step. The change in the degree of transmission from the first measuring step to the second measuring step is then evaluated.
