About Horizontal Axis Patents (Class 134/194)
  • Patent number: 8468711
Abstract: Disclosed is a clothes dryer, comprising: a body; a drum rotatably installed at the body; a duct for guiding air exhausted from the drum; and a filter assembly for filtering lint included in the air exhausted from the drum. The filter assembly includes a lint filter and a cover filter, and a lint collector encompassed by the lint filter and the cover filter. The clothes dryer includes sensing means for sensing whether the lint filter has been mounted to a precise position or not. The sensing means consists of a magnet mounted to a mesh frame of the lint filter, and a reed switch mounted to a cover guide.

  • Patent number: 8256440
Abstract: Embodiments include a dishwasher to be connected to pressurized supply water is further improved by the dishwasher comprising a pump driven by at least a first part of the supply water, the pump being adapted to produce pressurized washing water for a washing process from a second part of the supply water, wherein the pressurized washing water has a higher pressure than the supply water. Embodiments of the invention provide a dishwasher which achieves a high cleaning effect even at a pressure of the supply water common in the household.

  • Patent number: 8122898
Abstract: A rotating and telescoping cleaning system improves high pressure water cleaning of the inner surfaces of vessels or tanks. Vessels can be vertically divided with dividing plates with centered through-holes. Synchronized and controlled transverse and rotary movements of water jets result in a controlled spiral or helical cleaning track along the vessel walls. The water jets are directed at a pre-adjusted distance from the vessel wall and the travel speed of the water nozzle jets is exactly controlled allowing the removal of very hard deposits. One pass with the tool carrier with operating water jets along the length axis of the vessel results in a thoroughly cleaned vessel wall. The tool unfolds and folds inside of the vessel powered by the flow of the high pressure cleaning water.

  • Patent number: 6047715
Abstract: Cleaning apparatus for cleaning debris from orifices in an ink jet print head orifice plate includes a structure defining a cleaning cavity for receiving cleaning liquid; a roller partially submerged in the cleaning liquid. The roller is rotated so that cleaning liquid coats the roller and is carried by surface tension around the roller; and relative movement is provided between the orifice plate and the structure so that the orifice plate is positioned adjacent to the cleaning cavity with the rotating roller spaced a distance from the orifice plate so that there is turbulence of the cleaning liquid and such turbulence causes the cleaning fluid to engage the orifice plate and remove debris from the orifice plate and orifice nozzles.

  • Patent number: 4375819
Abstract: A closed chamber adapted to receive a cleaning solution and machinery parts to be cleaned has a shaft extending through an opening in a sidewall of the chamber and carries a propeller at its inner end in position to circulate the cleaning solution in a horizontal plane relative to the parts to be cleaned. A heating element mounted within the chamber subjacent the propeller heats the cleaning solution. A seal assembly is mounted between the opening in the sidewall and the shaft to form a fluid tight seal therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4123289
Abstract: An automatic pick-up and release mechanism including a curved surface having an axis of curvature; a rotatable shaft having an axis parallel with and eccentric to the axis of curvature; at least one pick-up element extending radially from and fixed to rotate with the shaft; each element extending beyond the curved surface in an area of the curved surface which is closer to the shaft axis and short of the curved surface in an area farther from the shaft axis; and a slot, corresponding to each of the elements in the curved surface, extending circumferentially about the axis of curvature for accommodating motion of its associated element.
