Abstract: A flap door having a soft hinge for a lay-down hunting blind comprises a fabric door frame cover, a door frame receiving pocket formed in the door frame cover, a door frame enclosed within the door frame receiving pocket supporting the door frame cover in planar configuration, the door frame having interconnected U-shaped head end and toe end support members having curved head end and toe end hinge corners supported on the framework of the hunting blind's enclosure, a hinge end of the door frame cover attached to one of two opposing lateral edges of the top opening of the fabric enclosure of the blind without any direct mechanical interconnection between the door frame and the support framework of the enclosure such that a pair of flap doors may be moved between opened and closed configurations over the top opening.

Abstract: A raintrough support clip includes a generally cylindrical main body made from an elastically resilient material, and having a circumferential gap to facilitate mounting around an awning reel having a flexible valance sheet extending downward from the outer edge of the awning reel. The raintrough support clip also has an outrigger member extending outwardly from a lower region of the main body, with an upturned portion forming a generally U-shaped space between the outrigger and the main body. When a suitable number of the raintrough support clips are mounted along the length of the awning reel, the valance sheet may be readily deformed to form a rainwater drainage trough for receiving runoff from the awning. The drainage trough thus formed will carry runoff to one or both ends of the awning reel, thereby preventing the runoff from falling over the awning reel and forming a runoff curtain therebelow.

Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable system of concealment and methods for its construction and use. The concealment system comprises a support and a curtain. The support attaches to a structure and pivots on the attachment. Various embodiments include multiple supports and multiple curtains. A method of hiding in front of a similar pattern. An alternate support may be used to form both tree blinds and ground blinds.

Abstract: A tent door panel assembly incorporating a pliable, soft material operatively connected to collapsible tubular frame to define an internal swinging door. The door panel of pliable material may be connected to the door opening or vestibule opening of the tent using well known attachment mechanisms. The collapsible tubular frame may be disassembled and reassembled for removal and portability.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a hunting blind. The hunting blind, in one embodiment, includes a base structure configured to support the weight of a human. The hunting blind, in this embodiment, further includes one or more sidewall structures coupleable to the base structure, wherein the one or more sidewall structures include a first portion extending upwardly from the base structure, and a second portion that slants outwardly from the first portion. The hunting blind, in this embodiment, further includes a roof structure positioned over the base structure and coupled to the second portion.

Abstract: A tent pole anchor apparatus that includes a barrel member and a cover disposed on the barrel member. The barrel member and cover together form an internal chamber that is filled with water so as to provide a significant weight for anchoring the barrel member. The barrel member has at least one drain to enable liquid to be removed from the barrel member. At least one of the barrel member and cover has a passage for receiving an adjustment strap that interconnects the barrel member with the tent pole.

Abstract: In a fabric enclosure such as a tent wall there is provided an opening in the fabric panel with a fabric closure panel for closing the opening having a hinge line along one side connecting the closure panel to the wall panel. The opening and the closure panel each define an edge thereof opposite to the hinge line which is curved from an end at the hinge line around to an opposite end separated from the hinge line by a non-flexible rod with the edge of the closure panel overlapping the edge of the opening for closure thereon and a flexible bowing strip attached to the edge of the closure panel which is forced into a bowed shape to apply tension to the closure panel tending to maintain the panel flat.

Abstract: A retractable awning. The retractable awning may include a screen that may be extended and retracted, a first motor arranged to extend the screen, a second motor arranged to retract the screen, and a control unit arranged to control the first motors and the second motor.

Abstract: A free floating canopy shade system for use in a pool or at a beach. The canopy has four legs each leg supported by an open top float, each float having an outer tapered cylindrical wall and an inner cylindrical wall, the inner cylindrical wall being sized to receive a leg, an attachment to attach the leg to the float. The float being water tight and open at the top. Wherein an open shaded area is created beneath the canopy bounded only on four corners by each float.

Abstract: A folding canopy beach tent comprised of lightweight rod structure frame with connecting joints. This structure opens and closes. To closing structure folds down and the rods fold inward making the structure compact. The umbrella and flaccid mesh like material cover the frame structure. The material serves as a protection against sunrays and weather elements. The front flaccid mesh serves as enclosure for the structure. The side flaccid mesh allows airflow, and visibility of surroundings. The dimensions of the folding canopy beach tent provides' enough room to place a child, and other items. Stakes are used to secure the structure to the surface, therefore reducing the likelihood of the wind moving it. The stakes also secure the mesh enclosure when lowered to the ground. The structure's umbrella like material base can be directly sat or laid on. The folded canopy beach tent is carried in a carry tote with strap.

Abstract: An enclosure intended to provide privacy and protection when tanning outdoors is herein disclosed, utilizing a lightweight frame. All sides are covered with a screen material and feature opaque panels that can be rolled up to allow for air flow or let down to provide privacy. The screen material provides for protection against insects as well. The roof of the enclosure is made of clear plastic through which the transmission of ultraviolet rays is still possible, thus allowing for tanning. Entrance into the enclosure is provided through a zippered opening at each end. The enclosure can be easily disassembled for ease of transportation or storage when not in use.

Abstract: The rail skirt system includes a top rail, a skirt that hangs from the top rail, formed from rail bar members connected together at their inner ends by a middle connector tube connectable to a locking support leg, to provide support for the top rail on a side of a shelter. The outer ends of the rail bar members are connected to legs of the shelter by fixed corner connecting brackets.

Abstract: A canopy for providing shade in sunlight has a stanchion connected to a crossbeam and a sunshade with two straps attached to the back. Each of the straps has an anchor. The anchor may be a pouch into which sand may be placed to hold the canopy in place. Wind blows the canopy up to a horizontal position and maintains it there in both heavy and light winds. Additional support legs may be used when there is insufficient wind to hold the canopy up.

Abstract: A canopy anchor pad system that has a pad with a metal plate attached thereto and a fastening member that extends through the pad. The anchor pad system is attached to the leg of a canopy assembly and is of size and shape to accommodate a secondary weight such as a cooler that can be placed on the pad in order to anchor the leg of the canopy assembly.

Abstract: A retractable awning, comprising a screen which may be extended and retracted, wherein there is provided a first motor arranged to extend the screen, a second motor arranged to retract the screen, and a control unit arranged to control the first and second motors, wherein the first and second motors are synchronized so as to maintain tension in the screen within predetermined values.

Abstract: The portable magnetic awning apparatus is easily attached to and removed from a chosen metallic vehicle or surface. Soft magnets negate potential scarring. In the collapsed state, the apparatus is importantly relatively small. The scissor frame supporting the awning easily collapses to allow the vertical members to be collapsed inwardly to a side-by-side position, with the pivoting members pivoting upwardly for further compact state. The pliable awning and bib further enable lightweight collapsibility. The pivoting members which are pivotally and positionally lockable, along with the telescopic rods, provide a wide variety of selectively established positioning and extendability. Abstract: A bed covering apparatus that prevents bed bugs from intrusion to an enclosed sleeping area, wherein the bed covering apparatus has a net for exclusion of insects and an openable section disposed at one end of the net that is dimensioned to accommodate legs of a person sleeping within the net, and also contains at least one slippery section to which bed bugs cannot adhere, thereby causing the bed bugs to fall from the netted sleeping area before they have an opportunity to enter the sleeping enclosure. The bed covering apparatus further may comprise straps to securely attach it to a mattress.

Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable, dynamically configurable and modular system of concealment and shelter. An operator configures a number of concealment blinds or shelters using brackets, supports, segmented shafts, covers, curtains, and skirts, and more complex modules. The segmented shafts have both the ability to make an attachment to retain a particular configuration while being able to break down the shafts for transportation or storage. The brackets and supports are used to secure a configuration to a tree, the ground, or a hand held device. Advanced modules include user adjustable domes and cylindrical arches. The system can be configured for placement on a hillside or over rough terrain and obstacles. Multiple modules can be carried by separate members of a group and combined together to form a more complex structure to meet the needs of the group. The system provides a novel star window with independently opening sections.

Abstract: A clothesline cover apparatus for protecting a clothesline from the rain comprising a housing, a water-resistant housing extendable from the housing via a first telescopic pole and a second telescopic pole, and a first sensor for detecting the presence of or absence of rain. When the first sensor detects rain, a microprocessor activates a motor to extend the first and second telescopic poles out of the housing to extend the canvas over the clothesline. When the first sensor detects the absence of rain, the microprocessor activates the motor to retract the telescopic poles.

Abstract: An on-shore sail shade is provided which includes a sail secured to a mast and a boom with the sail shade being positioned on a patio or the like to provide desired shade protection. A foot portion of the sail is located close to the ground or supporting surface so that the sail shade will provide the desired shade during all daylight hours.

The flap is substantially larger in length and width than the opening and has ballast along its base to hold it flush against the at least one opening. In another configuration the collapsible protective food enclosure comprises three or more resilient structural frame loops, a cover having at least one opening and a flap. The structural frame loops are affixed within the cover forming walls. The flap is attached above the opening and has a resilient structural frame loop affixed along its perimeter to allow the flap to fit flush against the at least one opening.

Abstract: A shelter including panels of a first configuration secured to each other, the panels of the first configuration including a square main panel section, a fold-line extending from one corner to an opposite corner of the square main panel section allowing the square main panel section to fold along the fold-line, and a hinged flap extending from each edge of the square main panel section, each hinged flap secured to a hinged flap of an adjacent panel.

Abstract: A moisture diversion system is provided for a collapsible structure including a collapsible frame assembly and an outer structure coupled to the collapsible frame assembly. The moisture diversion system includes a guide strip coupled at each of a first edge and an opposing second edge to the outer structure. The guide strip defines a channel between the first edge and the second edge for facilitating diverting moisture from the outer structure.

Abstract: The erectable shelter includes an awning assembly for a shelter that is removably mounted to two or more adjacent legs of the shelter. The awning assembly is mounted so that it can be moved between a downwardly directed vertical position and an upwardly directed vertical position, and to an intermediate horizontal position between the downwardly directed vertical position and an upwardly directed vertical position, allowing the awning to provide shade and to serve as a holder for signage.

Abstract: The technology of the present application provides a collapsible canopy shelter having reinforced eaves for additional structural integrity, as well as at least one collapsible ventilation flap in the canopy cover that is capable of moving between a closed position and an open position to ventilate air from beneath the canopy cover as desired. Abstract: A portable sunshade apparatus is disclosed for use with, for example, a recreational chair. In one embodiment, the sunshade apparatus has two side supports. Each side support has one or more of: an attachment provision, a vertical support leg, one or more radial support arms, a ratchet assembly connecting the radial arms to the vertical support leg, and a horizontally extending arm connected to an end of the radial support arms. A canopy element extends between the horizontally extending arms of each side support. The ratchet assembly and the attachment provision include features that allow the canopy to be adjusted in a variety of directions. In some instances, the canopy element is used for displaying promotional messages.

Abstract: A protective canopy housing (1) for a barbeque grill (2) having a canopy (6) with a vent opening on a top (22) with an elevated vent cover (8). The canopy is supported by supports (5a, b and c) attached to a grill by C-clamps (4a,b). The canopy housing can include side curtains (10a, b) which may be rolled up and secured along the sides of the canopy. The side curtains may include mesh and can be maintained in a down position during use to protect the users from insects. The curtains can be removably detachable. The canopy would preferably be made of heat-resistant material.

Abstract: Portable shelters, shelter systems, and methods of deployment of such shelters are described. The shelters or housing units may be deployed in emergency housing situations and may be grouped into systems of shelters. One particular embodiment comprises a rigid top frame structure, a rigid bottom frame structure, and one or more collapsible support arms connecting the top frame structure to the bottom frame structure. The frame structures and the collapsible support arm(s) are sized and configured to form a shelter frame when the collapsible support arm(s) are in a fully extended position, and the top frame structure is brought into proximity with the bottom frame structure when the collapsible support arm(s) are in a collapsed position. Methods of rapid deployment of the shelters and systems of shelters are also described.

Abstract: A hunting chair with a hunting blind attachment that encircles the chair is disclosed, as well as an attachable camouflage roof covering, all of which may be folded and disassembled in such a way that it fits into a self-contained pack that may be carried on a hunter's back. The chair includes an adjustable, pivoting backrest, a pivoting gun rest with telescoping legs for height adjustment, folding legs, a pouch to contain the disassembled elements, and shoulder straps for carrying the apparatus. In its disassembled state, the roof poles, roof fabric, and blind fabric are packed into a pouch on the back side of the backrest, and the chair is folded into a carrying position. Detachable shoulder straps may be attached to the underside of the seat section, so that the entire chair and blind combination may be carried on a hunter's back into the field.

The frame members are positionable between a first configuration, in which the wall member is extended, and a second configuration, in which the wall member is retracted. At least one frame member includes an end that is disposed adjacent the foundation. Furthermore, the frame assembly includes a foot member with a support portion. The foot member is pivotably coupled to the end of the frame member to pivot between a first position, in which the support portion is disposed between the end and the foundation to support the frame member on the foundation, and a second position, in which the support portion is disposed away from an area between the end and the foundation.

Abstract: A portable and collapsible blind including a door and associated opening that is defined through a side corner and adjacent side walls of the blind to offer easy ingress and egress relative to the blind. The blind can include a hub style frame including sets of bars joined with respective hubs. The door can include a curvilinear closure that extends along one sidewall, across the side corner, and into an adjacent sidewall. The closure and a perimeter of the door can be of a partially circular, elliptical and/or parabolic shape.

As a window for the tent is moved from a closed position, where a fabric cover covers the window opening, to an open position, where the fabric cover is partially or fully removed from the opening, the fabric cover automatically stores itself. The only use effort to both open and store the fabric cover is in opening the fabric cover.
