Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable, dynamically configurable and modular system of concealment and shelter. An operator configures a number of concealment blinds or shelters using brackets, supports, segmented and folding shafts, covers, curtains, and skirts, and more complex modules. Advanced modules include user adjustable domes and angular structures. Angular frames with corresponding angular covers provide improved headroom. The system can be configured for placement on a hillside or over rough terrain and obstacles, or for different types use. The system provides covers with novel windows, movable panels, and configuration attachments. The operator changes the configuration of the structure to quickly provide cover, to increase cover, and to adapt to terrain or changing weather. The system includes novel methods of tightening the skin on a cover to reduce movement and noise, while improving safety.

A tarp, secured to the frame, has a main section for covering the main area, and an auxiliary section adjacent the main section. The auxiliary section is (i) extendable between the legs and the auxiliary leg to cover the auxiliary area, (ii) extendable between the legs and the support surface to provide additional cover to the main area as a wall, and (iii) storable such that only the main section covers the main area and the at least one auxiliary leg is removed.

Abstract: The invention is a scent containment system for hunting blinds. A hunting blind is provided with scent impervious walls and removable light transmissive scent impervious windows. The scent impervious windows are remarkable in that they are designed to be readily penetrable by a projectile such as an arrow or a bullet, and are of low cost and disposable.

The screw rod is driven by a motor to activate a first support rod and a second support rod to slide forward or backward sliding motion. A main support bracket is disposed between the main shaft and a second support rod, and a spring is disposed between the main support bracket and the main shaft. There are deep and shallow grooves and a slopped surface within the second support rod; a free rotor and a fixed rotor are inserted therein. A tube body is mounted on a motor mount and enclosing the first support rod. The tube body is then inserted into an outer tube. As the screw rod drives the first and second support rods forward, a gear teeth strip on one side of said first link rod stretches a spring so as to open a sun roof by extending the second main support rod, the second link rod and the third main support rod; the rotors are retained on the slopped surface for fixing the main support bracket.

An actuator system is operatively connected to the support rod to actuate a rotation of the support rod to deploy the door to close the entrance/exit and retract the door to free the entrance/exit of the portable shelter.

The framework includes a triangularly-shaped main beam arrangement comprising a plurality of beams secured together to form a triangle that lies in a vertical plane and that defines a peak and opposing first corners, with the mount being located between the peak and one of the opposing corners. The framework further includes a pair of transverse beams and a bracing beam secured to the triangular main beam arrangement that define opposing second corners. By this arrangement, an adjustable shade structure is provided that is able to withstand over 40 mph wind loads.

Several propping poles are sheathed across the ridge laterally with respect to the beam at the positions that are staggered between the spaced joining positions. Each of the propping poles is supported over the beam in such a way that a portion of the ridge located at one of the staggered positions between said spaced joining positions is propped up by the propping pole, thus creating a skylight that is substantially triangular in shape.

An opaque material covers at least the horizontal segments of at least two of the inverted U-shaped support members, and two pivot means are attached to said rectangular and planar base for movably combining free ends of said vertical segments of the inverted U-shaped support members. Substantially open side areas, preferably with screen sections, allow for air flow.

The blind is configured to resemble a large tree trunk and may be adapted to blend into the natural surroundings of any wooded environment. The blind includes a covering that closely resembles the bark of a tree, and includes a plurality of apertures for viewing wildlife. At least one of the apertures may include an extension adapted to resemble a broken tree limb. The covering also includes an opening into a partial enclosure that is sized to receive a human.
