Conversely, the canopy unit is positionable in a retracted position having the canopy unit positioned beneath the cover.     Abstract: A hunting blind is presently disclosed that includes a central support comprising a main body and an extendable portion, the extendable portion configured to maintain the hunting blind in an upright position, a gun rest secured to the main body of the central support opposite the extendable portion, a plurality of ribs pivotally secured to the main body of the central support, the ribs configured to rotate between an open configuration and a closed configuration, and a screen comprising a plurality of opaque screen sections, each screen section secured to at least one rib and at least one other rib or the main body of the central support, each screen section comprising a flexible material such that the screen sections are collapsible, wherein when the ribs are in the open configuration, the screen is configured to obscure a hunter from a target.

A technician can perform a mechanical or fusion splice on an optical fiber inside the space. Splicing or fusing miniscule optical fibers is challenging out of doors, particularly when distracted b wind, rain, snow, sun-glare, bugs, animals, etc. A tent is supported by a “spine” support structure modularly constructed by the technician in the outdoors location where an optical fiber operation shall take place. A splice-tray is affixed to the spine, the tray height being adjustable to accommodate that technician and provide an approximately horizontal work surface. The tent can be used on soft ground, hard pavement, leaning against utility poles or further supported by attachment to overhead cables. The technician can perform delicate operations on optical cables inside the tent with outside distractions mitigated.

    Abstract: A portable hunting blind employs a hand-operated, spring biased clamp with a pair of compressible handles that open spring-biased clamping jaws. The clamping jaws include internal grooves for sure gripping. An elongated, bendable arm extends from one of the clamp handles. An attachment juncture formed in one of the handle ends secures the arm to the clamp. The flexible metal arm can be configured by bending as desired by a hunter to assume a desired shape. A camouflage curtain is secured to the arm, which supports it like a flag pole. When an area for deployment is reached, the clamp is affixed to an available object, such as a tree limb, support the curtain and camouflage a limited selected area. The shape of the concealed arm can be varied by bending the arm. The curtain bottom may be secured to a convenient object to prevent movement.
