Abstract: The tents include a tent frame and an outer tent fabric. The tent frame forms an assembled tent frame defining a base and is configured to support the outer tent fabric above the base. The outer tent fabric is configured to be supported by the assembled tent frame to surround an inner space that interfaces the base of the assembled tent frame. The tent is assembled when the outer tent fabric is operably supported by the assembled tent frame, and the assembled tent is configured to interconvert between a shelter configuration and a canopy configuration. In the shelter configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame extends along the support surface. In the canopy configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame is inclined relative to the support surface. Tents further include a lift coupler configured to interconnect the assembled tent with a tent-elevating support in the canopy configuration.

Abstract: A sunshade device and management system for mitigating the effects of climate change to help reduce the risk of extinction of plants, animals, and humans. The sunshade device has a canopy, which will collapse when lifted into the atmosphere by lifting devices, and open when the lifting devices are turned down or off, to provide shade. The canopy is preferably formed of a flexible lightweight solar panel film containing solar cells, which charge a battery power system which operates electrically powered propeller-driven lifting devices attached to a central portion of the canopy. The sunshade management device controls the lifting devices to manage the sunshade device elevation, angle and geolocation. The sunshade management device is provided with artificial intelligence and machine learning whereby it is able to make determinations regarding sunshade device takeoff and shutdown, and positioning of the elevation and angle of the canopy relative to the ground below, to maximize the shade effects of the canopy.

Abstract: A privacy enclosure that allows patients on stretchers to conveniently cover their face or torso during transports in public areas, during their stay at a hospital rooms and/or when a stable hospitalized individual is transported on a stretcher or bed from one area to another. The invention provides protection in order to respect and protect the privacy and dignity of patients. This device is intended, but is not limited to, being attached to a stretcher, either by the nursing staff or by the patient himself.

Abstract: An outdoor shelter having a tarp, a first loop at a first corner of the tarp on a first edge of the tarp, a second loop at a second corner of the tarp on the first edge of the tarp, a first rope at a first corner of the tarp on a second edge of the tarp opposite and parallel to the first edge of the tarp, and a second rope at a second corner of the tarp on the second edge of the tarp. The tarp, the first loop, the second loop, the first rope, and the second rope are stored in a pouch fixed to the tarp when the shelter is not in use. When needed, this outdoor shelter can be deployed in the shape of a lean-to or in the shape of a pointed snow plow.

Abstract: Personal protective equipment including hygienic barriers and methods of use to provide an improved barrier between a patient and a caregiver; where such barriers include a reinforced region and an enclosure portion, where the enclosure portion extends beyond the reinforced region such that when suspended above the patient, in a deployed configuration, the enclosure portion hangs down from the reinforced region through a force of gravity to form an enclosure space.

Abstract: A method for enhancing the rain and sun protection of a golf cart roof using a rain and sun shield device. The rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart is semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile (i.e. are sized to fit within the perimeter of any standard golf cart roof when in the closed position) of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.

Abstract: An automated vehicle cover assembly includes a disk that is positioned on a roof of a vehicle. A canopy unit is provided and the canopy unit is movably attached to the disk. The canopy unit is positionable in a deployed position having the canopy unit radiating outwardly from the disk to cover the vehicle for protection against sunlight and precipitation. Conversely, the canopy unit is positionable in a retracted position having the canopy unit positioned beneath the cover. A remote control is in wireless communication with the canopy unit and the remote control actuates the canopy unit into the deployed position or the retracted position.

Abstract: A transportable shelter includes a frame, an inner liner, and an outer liner. A plurality of interconnecting members of the frame are connected to create a fixed structural element, at least one end structural element, and a plurality of purlin portions. The purlin portions attach the fixed structural element to a first end structural element. The fixed structural element has a first inner track and a first outer track, and the first end structural element has a second inner track and a second outer track. The inner liner attaches to the first and second inner tracks, and the outer panel attaches to the first and second outer tracks. A dead-air space exists between the inner liner and the outer panel when the frame is assembled and the inner liner and the outer panel are connected to both the fixed structural element and the first end structural element.

Abstract: An apparatus for raising and lowering a vehicle cover is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible member having a first end and a second end, the flexible member configured to flex so that, with the first end positioned adjacent to a vehicle and the second and positioned generally higher than the vehicle, the second end raises the vehicle cover up from the vehicle and lowers the vehicle cover down towards the vehicle. The second end of the flexible member is configured to retain the vehicle cover.

Abstract: An umbrella canopy that opens and closes not from a stick from within the interior of the umbrella canopy but from the exterior crown where a line is pulled to open the umbrella canopy and where a button is pushed to close the umbrella canopy. The interior of the umbrella canopy includes no stick to hold up the umbrella canopy. Taut edges of the umbrella canopy hold up the umbrella canopy, for instance, on the top edges of a playyard.

Abstract: A wheeled land vehicle covering system configured for one-person operation, the covering system having a covering system frame composed of a plurality of spaced apart uprights which support an overhead track from which a vehicle cover is suspended that is extendable along the track to cover a vehicle and which is retractable to uncover the vehicle. Each one of the uprights is height adjustable to adjust how far a top of the cover is above a roof of a vehicle to maintain a ventilation space therebetween. The cover is configured for one-person removal for storage when it is disposed in the fully retracted position. Such a cover also is configured for one-person installation when it is desired to reinstall the cover. The cover is attached by a hanger arrangement that enables extension and retraction of the cover by enabling relative extensible and retractable movement of the cover along the track.

Abstract: A lightweight shelter for hikers that uses two trekking poles for support. This shelter includes an outer canopy (or “fly”) that is rectangle shaped at the base, and a sleeping area which is uniquely positioned on a diagonal relative to the rectangular outer wall. This shelter also includes a ridgeline supported by two trekking poles which are positioned on the crossing diagonal to the sleeping area and inwards from the base of the outer wall such that this shelter can erect into a stable position without additional support beyond what is provided by the canopy.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward a rotating arm that can quickly and easily cover and uncover a greenhouse. The invention comprises a base unit to which is attached a rotating arm. The base unit is secured into cement and the rotating arm unit is attached at its end to a tarp. As a worker rotates the arm, the greenhouse tarp is quickly moved in the direction or rotation. A greenhouse with one of these inventions at either end can be covered and uncovered by a single person in a matter of seconds and removes the need for the motors and complicated apparatus associated with the prior art.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe various structural components for a lightweight tent. Structural components include a split tip for a tent pole end, configured to receive and secure one or more cords from a tent canopy. The one or more cords may be configured with stoppers that may fit into corresponding recesses on the split tip to assist in retention. Other components include a coupler for attaching one or more cords from the tent canopy. The coupler may be secured to a tent pole section by a retaining ring, or by cooperation of a groove in the tent pole with a corresponding ridge on the coupler.

Abstract: A swivel rocker having a swivel rocker frame that in turn includes a rocker frame portion and a swivel frame portion that can induce the three types of motion of swivel or roll, rock or pitch, and spin or yaw. The swivel frame portion can be quickly engaged to and disengaged from the rocker frame portion. Each of the swivel frame portion and rocker frame portion is foldable to a compact form. Each of the swivel frame portion and rocker frame portion includes a hub portion, which hub portions are rotatable relative to each other and lockable relative to each other.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an easily assembled and disassembled shade-providing structure, such as may be mounted to a playground assembly. The shade-providing structure comprises an outer frame defining an interior space and a canopy that may be positioned in that interior space. The canopy has one or more rods around its periphery, such as may be inserted through one or more pockets in the canopy fabric. Each of the outer frame and the rod(s) has a set of apertures configured to receive a locking fastener and a set of apertures configured to receive a jack screw or similar tensioning device. Accordingly, to assembly the structure, one or more jack screws can be used to provide the canopy with a desired tension and then locking fasteners can be used to secure the canopy to the outer frame.

Abstract: Flexible containment tubes form sections of a dike for fluid containment. Structural supports are inserted into the flexible contain tubes and the tube sealed to form structure supported dike sections. For example, a supporting structure may be configured with a given length and cross sectional diameter to provide structural support to a vinyl-coated polyester tube with a 12-36 inch diameter. The structure is sealed within the tube and, in turn, the tube may be filled with a fluid such as water to create structure supported containment dike. The length of the supporting structure may be selected based on the width of an entryway to create structure supported dike section of a give length that provide a seal across the entryways against floodwaters.

Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter provides an apparatus for protecting an occupant in a stroller from harmful environmental factors including UV and air pollutants. The apparatus can include an interchangeable cover configured to substantially enclose the occupant and cover at least a portion of the stroller to form an enclosure. The interchangeable cover can include a flexible plastic film that protects the occupant from UV radiation. The interchangeable cover can have an inlet, a fan connected to the inlet to draw ambient air into the enclosure, and a filter unit configured to filter the ambient air. The fan is further configured to blow the filtered ambient air along an interior surface of the enclosure and to maintain a positive air pressure within the enclosure.

Abstract: This invention provides protection from mosquitoes for an individual lying on a bed. An articulated frame supports mosquito netting over the exposed flesh of the individual. The articulated frame is easily deployed and retracted by the individual while lying on the bed. In the retracted position the bed is fully accessible for making-up or changing the bedding.

Abstract: There is described a canopy system comprising two or more parallel elongated rods, one or more canopy pieces having two parallel edges, two or more elongated bars connected to each of the two or more parallel elongated rods and attached to each of the two parallel edges of the one or more canopy pieces, and at least one connection mechanism attached to each of the elongated rods having a connector that is capable of being suspended from a support. The enclosure further includes opposing tubular end portions disposed in the rain fly through which the load-bearing suspension lines of the hammock pass, whereby protection is provided without having to deploy the enclosure such that it is centered over the hammock, once the tubular end portions are tightened about the suspension lines. The tubular portions further permit the present enclosure to be used with any camping hammock.

Abstract: A canopy with removable blind for hunting tree stand. A bracket removably attaches to a tree with straps, and one or more supports extend upwards from the bracket to a roof, around whose outer edges a blind may removably hang. The roof folds for storage and transportation, and the bracket is composed of two bracket end plates joined by at least one bracket vertical member. The bracket may be easily assembled and disassembled for storage or transportation. Bolts or quick-remove pins attach the support(s) to the bracket and the roof. The canopy is designed for use with an existing tree stand mounted below the roof. When installed above an existing tree stand, the canopy protects the tree stand occupants from weather, and the blind hides the occupants from view.
