    Abstract: A rainwater collection and diverging system includes a housing that has a bottom wall and a perimeter wall. A door is positioned in the bottom wall. A hinge hingedly couples the door to the bottom wall and a biasing member is attached to the door and biases the door in a closed position. Fluid in the housing may flow outwardly through the bottom wall when a biasing action of the biasing member is overcome and the door is moved to an open position. An outlet is fluidly coupled to the housing. A downspout has a bottom end extending into the housing. A conduit is fluidly coupled to and extends between a free end of the outlet and a fluid receptacle. Water flowing down the downspout is directed into the conduit until a force of the water flowing down the downspout overcomes the biasing action and opens the door.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for preventing blockage of a water flow path from a gutter of a building through a downspout includes a receptacle which is rotatably supported beneath the gutter. The receptacle is movable between a collecting orientation and an emptying orientation under the influence of the weight of water and debris conducted from the gutter to the receptacle when the receptacle is in the collecting orientation. The receptacle includes a compartment having an outlet through which water passes prior to collection of debris in the compartment. As debris collects in the compartment and at least partially blocks the outlet so that water also collects in the compartment, the combined center of gravity of the receptacle and the water and debris in the compartment moves from one side of a vertical plane containing the axis about which the receptacle rotates to the opposite side of the plane. As this occurs, the receptacle is rotated from the collecting orientation to the emptying orientation.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a device for the constant replenishment of an animal dipping bath, or for use in any situation where it is desired to have a concentrate diluted with a liquid with little or no liquid supply pressure.The device consists of a two-component rocking-pan arrangement 8 and 9 for receiving and discharging the mixture and a metering arrangement for discharging concentrate in the pan. The metering arrangement consists of a double acting single piston and cylinder pump, linked to the pan, and comprises a single piston 22, and a single cylinder partitioned by the piston into 2 chambers, 25 and 26 each chamber being capable of receiving and discharging quantities of concentrate. The arrangement of the pump is such that when one chamber is discharging concentrate into the pan the other is receiving concentrate from the supply line, and concentrate is delivered to that one of the two components which is about to be filled with diluent. The device is particularly useful for sheep-dipping purposes.

    Abstract: A water treatment and storage system includes a reverse osmosis treatment unit having an untreated water input line, a treated water output line and a bleed water output line. An expandable container, compressed by a spring arrangement, is provided for storing treated water. A container valve, connecting the reverse osmosis treatment unit and the expandable container, terminates the flow of treated water to the container when a predetermined quantity of water has been accumulated therein. The container valve further includes a bleed valve arrangement connecting the bleed water output line and a drain line. The bleed valve arrangement terminates the flow of bleed water to the drain line after the container has accumulated the predetermined quantity of treated water.
