Float Responsive Patents (Class 137/165)
  • Patent number: 10183575
Abstract: A valve apparatus for use in a liquid tank, the valve apparatus including a casing defining a main chamber, the main chamber having at least one inlet orifice and at least one outlet orifice; a float including a closure element, the float being movable inside the main chamber between a first position and a second position in which the at least one outlet orifice is closed off by the closure element; a weight control system configured for controlling the weight of the float by transferring a load in and out from the float, such that the weight of the float in the second position is lower than the weight of the float in the first position.

  • Patent number: 9984778
Abstract: A nuclear power plant includes a nuclear reactor containment structure housing a nuclear reactor, a pressure vessel containing condensed water therein and having a receiving space located lower than a bottom of the containment structure, a release pipe connecting the containment structure to the pressure vessel such that water vapor and fission products generated in the containment structure in the event of an accident is capable of flowing into the pressure vessel, and a recovery pipe connecting the pressure vessel to the containment structure such that the condensed water received in the pressure vessel is capable of flowing into the containment structure. When a level of the condensed water received in the pressure vessel is higher than a water level in the containment structure, the condensed water flows from the pressure vessel toward the containment structure by a water head difference.

  • Publication number: 20100319787
Abstract: Provided is a fuel cut-off valve capable of preventing liquid fuel from flowing into a valve inside from an evaporation line side, and inhibiting the liquid fuel from flowing into a canister side. The fuel cut-off valve includes: a housing main body including a lower space and an upper space partitioned through a partition wall; a float valve coming into contact with/moving away from a first opening; a lid sealing the upper space; an evaporation line connection pipe communicated to the upper space; a canister connection pipe similarly communicated to the upper space; and a second opening formed in a portion coupled to the evaporation line connection pipe and a third opening formed in a portion coupled to the canister connection pipe, which are surrounded by walls formed in the housing main body and/or the lid, and communicated to each other only through the upper space beyond the walls.

  • Patent number: 7610697
Abstract: An automatic draining apparatus of condensation comprises a condensation tank; a float moving up/down along the level of the condensation; a hydraulic pressure chamber consisting of a volume changeable container for containing the condensation, and a check valve provided at an inlet of the hydraulic pressure chamber, the check valve allowing the condensation to flow only into the container, the rising float pulling up the hydraulic pressure chamber so that the volume of the container is reduced and the condensation of the container is pressurized; and a siphon having an inlet connected to the hydraulic pressure, and an outlet being provided at outside and a level of the outlet placing at a lower level of the inlet, the siphon draining the condensation into the outside when the siphon is filled with the condensation discharged from the compressed hydraulic pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 6244829
Abstract: A liquid forced-feed apparatus has a built-in float in a hermetic vessel provided with a working fluid inlet port, a working fluid discharge port, a forced-feed liquid inlet port, and a forced-feed liquid discharge port. A snap mechanism which is actuated to operate the working fluid inlet port and the working fluid discharge port with the upward and downward strokes of the float, to thereby force a liquid in the hermetic vessel out through the forced-feed liquid discharge port. A power transmitting shaft for transmitting the upward-and-downward movement of the float to the snap mechanism extends out of the hermetic vessel. The snap mechanism is disposed outside of the hermetic vessel.

  • Patent number: 5562314
Abstract: A latch assembly for mounting in a bore extending in from a side edge of a door has a backset adjustment for different distances between rotational axis of a handle or keylock and the side edge of the door. The bolt has a concentric aperture into which a bolt adjuster slidably mates with a close tolerance to prevent lateral movement between the bolt and the bolt adjuster. The latch assembly comprises a casing assembly having a bolt assembly longitudinally reciprocal therein between a retracted position and an extended position, the bolt assembly including a bolt with a cylindrical aperture therein, the bolt rotatable and reciprocal relative to a non-rotational cylindrical bolt adjuster and having a sliding fit thereon. A helical groove in one of the bolt or the bolt adjuster engages with a projection of the other of the bolt or bolt adjuster.

  • Patent number: 5092358
Abstract: A pressure regulator whose initial pressure can be set by manually setting the initial stress of a control spring has a double-seated valve with an inner and outer valve seat and a valve closing element. The valve closing element divides a supply pressure chamber from a control pressure chamber and the latter from a pressure-relief chamber. The inner valve seat is arranged on a control piston which is loaded by the control spring. In order to set a higher initial pressure, the initial stress of the control spring is increased, in order to reduce pressure, the initial stress of the spring is diminished. During this process, the outer or inner valve seat lifts off temporarily from the valve closing element until equilibrium is reestablished by a corresponding pressure chamber and the double-seated valve closes.
