  • Patent number: 11821529
Abstract: A valve assembly with a spring retention assembly including an elongated cylinder portion having an open threaded end and a closed end and an elongated piston portion having a free end and a threaded tab end configured to thread through the open threaded end and, thereby, be slideably captured in the cylinder portion. A spring couples to the body portion and the piston portion to provide a force to urge the body portion and the piston away from one another, wherein the closed end and the free end are similarly shaped so that the spring retention assembly can be reversibly mounted to a valve member that can also be reversibly mounted.

  • Patent number: 11242849
Abstract: A valve member for a valve assembly includes a body. The valve member also includes a first sealing assembly, coupled to the body at a first end, the first sealing assembly forming at least a portion of a first end strike face. The valve member further includes a second sealing assembly, coupled to the body at a second end opposite the first end, the second sealing assembly forming at least a portion of a second end strike face. The valve member also includes a guide leg assembly coupled to the body at the first end.

  • Patent number: 10527177
Abstract: A control plate for effecting superior shut-off in a proportional control valve comprises a moveable disk-shaped element that has a flat surface, generally perpendicular to the valve axis of symmetry when closed, and translates toward or away from an orifice surrounded by a narrow lip or orifice ridge. Enhanced leak tightness in the valve shut-off condition is achieved by selectively incorporating into the control plate materials that are softer than the material comprising the orifice ridge.

  • Patent number: 9776792
Abstract: A valve system for a container or vat, such as a food cooking vat. The valve system includes a valve body and stem having a valve head with a sealing member. The valve body has an outlet configured to be in fluid communication with the vat, and the sealing member is in fluid communication with the outlet and the chamber and is selectively operable between a discharge position, allowing the vat's contents to drain from the chamber, and a closed position, allowing the contents to remain in the chamber. The sealing member preferably is comprised of polymer and has an O-type sealing ring interposed between a first portion and a second portion, where the diameter of the second portion is smaller than the diameter of the first portion. Embodiments may also include a snap-fit connection of the sealing member to the valve head.

  • Patent number: 8333213
Abstract: A valve system for attachment to a food cooking vat. The valve system includes a valve body and stem, with the stem including a valve head having a sealing member connected thereto. The valve body has an outlet configured to be in fluid communication with the food cooking vat, and the sealing member is in fluid communication with the outlet and the chamber and is selectively operable between a discharge position, for allowing the food to drain from the chamber, and a closed position, for allowing the food to remain in the chamber. The sealing member preferably includes polymer and has a first portion of generally frusto-conical shape and a second portion of generally frusto-conical shape generally co-axial with the first portion.

  • Publication number: 20020117211
Abstract: A gate valve is disclosed which comprises a valve body having an internal flow passage which extends between an inlet port and an outlet port, a pair of seats mounted in respective seat pockets formed in the body coaxial with the flow passage, a gate disposed between the seats and having a transverse opening therethrough, and a valve stem threadedly connected to the gate, wherein rotation of the valve stem raises or lowers the gate to bring the opening into or out of alignment with the flow passage to either open or close the gate valve, respectively. Each seat comprises a generally cylindrical body portion having a substantially uniform outer diameter surface and first and second end faces which are adapted to seal with the gate. In this manner, each seat may be mounted in its seat pocket with either the first end face or the second end face adjacent the gate.
