  • Patent number: 11459106
Abstract: An aircraft water supply system supplies water to a water discharge port in an aircraft. A cold water flow path supplies cold water to the water discharge port. A hot water flow path supplies hot water to the water discharge port. A first control valve adjusts the flow rate of cold water flowing through the cold water flow path. A second control valve adjusts the flow rate of hot water flowing through the hot water flow path. A flow sensor detects the flow rate of water at any point up to the water discharge port. A flow control unit controls the opening/closing state of the first control valve and the second control valve based on the water temperature detected by the flow sensor so that the amount of the water discharged from the water discharge port reaches a predetermined target flow rate.

  • Patent number: 9285037
Abstract: A mud valve having a flange frame and yoke that are permanently connected to form a single unit without the aid of removable fasteners is described. Installation of the drain plug is facilitated by an arrangement of guide tabs on either side of the drain plug that are of different distances from the surface of the drain plug. This staggered arrangement allows the drain plug to be installed through a tilting and rotating of the drain plug that brings the tabs into alignment with guide rails on the yoke without necessitating the separation of the yoke from the flange frame. Similarly, the construction described allows the drain plug to be removed for repair or replacement in the field without disassembling the yoke and flange frame.

  • Patent number: 9222599
Abstract: A self-closing water-saving valve assembly has a casing, a seat, a pushing rod, a closing member and a stand. When said valve assembly is switched off, the closing member and the stand slow down the closing movement into a gradual manner, which can effectively reduce positive and negative pressure waves generated in the water pipe. Noises and damage to the water pipe are also prevented. Besides, the pushing rod is moved down by gravity and slight water pushing, which eliminates the problems of wear and speeded-up movement of the pushing rod. Therefore, the valve assembly has prolonged lifespan. In addition, the water pressure is not directly applied on the pushing rod and only slight water pushes the pushing rod such that it is easier for a user to push the pushing rod to switch on the valve assembly.

  • Patent number: 8567689
Abstract: A method of sanitizing pipes, etc. in a hot water supply system includes the steps of normally heating water by driving water from a water storage tank, into a heat exchanger. Typically, a water pump is stopped once the water storage tank receives a particular percentage of hot water. However, when a sanitation mode is desired, the pump is not stopped, such that the water tank becomes all, or almost all, hot water. The hot water is then delivered to the pump, and from the pump to the heat exchanger. This hot water is thus operable to sanitize pipes and the pump.

Abstract: A solenoid operated shutoff valve for compressed air has a tubular ferromagnetic core which is surrounded by an excitable coil and confines a reciprocable ferromagnetic plunger movable into and from sealing engagement with a fixedly mounted valve seat. The seat is installed in one of two coaxial tubular sections of the core and the other section has an axial opening for admission of compressed air to one end face of the plunger so that the other end face of the plunger normally bears against and seals the fluid evacuating opening in the seat. The periphery of the plunger is formed with straight and/or helical grooves defining discrete paths for the flow of compressed gas from the other section of the core into the opening of the seat when the coil is energized to propel the plunger away from the seat. Abstract: Electromagnetic actuator, especially for actuating a hydraulic servo-control valve, which comprises a magnetic shell constituting a body of revolution and a concentric armature-forming permanent magnet, at least one annular field coil, the field coil and the armature being adapted to move axially in relation to each other. The movable member (field coil or armature) is caused to move by the resultant electromagnetic force resulting from the energization of the field coil to which a control direct current is applied and by the antagonistic force of a repulsion member incorporated in the magnetic shell. The field coil is longer than the armature so that the electromagnetic force is independent of the movement of the movable member and proportional to the control direct current. The movable member is caused to perform simultaneously a cyclic motion superposed to the axial movement in order to eliminate the friction hysteresis of the hydraulic valve.
