  • Patent number: 11542903
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to prevent generation of wear at a rod collision portion in an electromagnetic intake valve of a high-pressure fuel supply pump by reducing inclinations of the intake valve and a rod. A structure of the electromagnetic intake valve of the high-pressure fuel supply pump is configured as follows. A seat portion of an intake valve and a guide portion of a rod are configured as an integral part, and further, a rod guide is made to have a sufficiently long length so that it is possible to perform guide at one portion. Further, the intake valve seat portion and a surface where the rod collides with the intake valve are formed on the same plane.

Abstract: A fluid system includes a fluid active region, a fluid channel, a convergence chamber and plural valves. The fluid active region includes one or plural fluid-guiding units. Each fluid-guiding unit includes an inlet plate, a substrate, a resonance plate, an actuating plate, a piezoelectric element and an outlet plate, which are stacked sequentially. The piezoelectric element is attached on the actuating plate. When the piezoelectric element drives a bending resonance of the actuating plate, the fluid is transported into the fluid-guiding units and pressurized to be discharged out. The fluid channel includes plural branch channels. The fluid discharged from the fluid active region is split by the branch channels. The convergence chamber is in communication with the fluid channel. The valves are disposed in the branch channels. The fluid is transported through the branch channels according to the open/closed states of the valves.

Abstract: A valve assembly suitable for use as an inlet metering valve of a fuel injection system comprises an inlet opening, an outlet aperture, and a valve element arranged to control fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture. The valve element is moveable in response to an applied control signal to a closed position and to a fully-open position, and is biased to return to a rest position when the control signal is absent. When the valve element is in the rest position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively low rate. When the valve element is in the closed position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is substantially prevented. When the valve element is in the fully-open position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively high rate.

Abstract: A system and method pumps process fluid from a cryogenic storage vessel to a vaporizer, and delivers the fluid as a pressurized gas. The method includes measuring process fluid temperature after the process fluid exits the vaporizer, temporarily suspending operation of the pump when the process fluid temperature is below a threshold temperature, and restarting a suspended pump if at least one predefined enabling condition is satisfied and process fluid pressure is less than a high pressure threshold. The system comprises components that cooperate with one another to execute the method, including a storage vessel, a pump, a vaporizer, a conduit for delivering a pressurized gas from the vaporizer to the end user, a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor for measuring process fluid properties within the conduit, and a controller for commanding operation of the pump responsive to temperature and pressure measurements.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for hydrogen generation utilizing two or more liquid fuel components, using a fuel delivery system comprising a single reversible or bi-directional pump co-operable with flow control means comprising passive or active valves to deliver two or more fuel components to a mixing zone, reaction zone, or reaction chamber of a hydrogen generation system. The pump is operable in a forward direction to deliver one fuel component, and in a reverse direction to deliver a second fuel component. Control of the pump speed, direction and duty cycle of the pump in continuous or pulsed modes provides for delivery of first and second fuel components in desired proportions, to control hydrogen generation. The system also allows for dilution, mixing and flush cycles to be provided using a single pump, reducing the number of active elements required for fuel delivery and flow control in systems using two or more liquid fuel components.

Abstract: A liquid pressurization device which is housed within a single rectangular housing that utilizes a solar panel as the front cover and the only source of energy. An interchangeable pulley mounted on a motion controlled technology motor allows for a wide range of pressure and volume scenarios common to liquid pressurization applications, and in combination with a motor controller and driver board, and programmable logic control board, these pressure and volume scenarios are further optimized for the utilization of solar energy as the sole energy source. Said programmable logic board further provides ports for firmware updates, monitoring devices, and diagnostic devices. A lever is reciprocated by an energy transfer pulley that transfers drive force to the liquid end of the apparatus, providing a low friction multiplication of available power. The liquid end of the apparatus is further designed for ease of maintenance to replaceable components with limited life spans.
