Abstract: A valve arrangement is provided that more effectively purges processing liquid from a processing liquid delivery system. With the valve arrangement only a small portion of the processing liquid path having a small wetting perimeter must be purged to affect replacement of a dysfunctional injection valve or any other component within the processing liquid delivery system. The valve arrangement comprises a first and a second isolation valve, a pump valve and purge valve configured to reduce the wetting perimeter defined by the four valves. The valve arrangement allows a dysfunctional injection valve or any other component to be replaced without health risk to humans or damage risk to a processing liquid delivery system employing the valve arrangement. During component replacement, the first and the second isolation valves are closed and the pump and the purge valves are opened so as to purge processing liquid from the isolated volume defined by the four valves.

Abstract: A sewage system comprising a network of sewage sumps that temporarily store sewage produced in a dwelling or other structure, each of said sumps preferably comprising a computer controller for operating a pump in the sump such that the sewage collected in the sump may be pumped out of the sump and into the collection system in a controlled manner to regulate the flow of sewage material in the system. The regulation of the sewage flow permits the efficient operation of a sewage treatment facility that receives sewage from the network of sewage sumps by insulating the facility from the peak burdens that would be placed on it at certain times of day in the absence of a system that regulates sewage flow into the system at the source of the sewage.
Abstract: Flowable reaction components of a reaction mixture which form solid or foamed material comprising filling material are transported from a storage container to a high-pressure mixing head in pressure stages by the use of gear pumps connected in series without major wear of the gear pumps.
Abstract: A foam marking system is provided with separate tanks for water and foam concentrate. A water pump and a concentrate pump deliver water and concentrate from the respective tanks to a mixing chamber at a pre-selected ratio. The water pump is controlled by a master control, while the concentrate pump is controlled by a slave control depending from the master control. The master control generates and output signal which is sent to both the water pump and the slave control, such that the slave control and concentrate pump operate as a function of the master control and water pump, so that the selected mix ratio can be maintained, regardless of the output level of the foam from the system. A foam generation chamber connected to the mixing chamber and to an air source generates foam when the foam solution is mixed with air.

Abstract: A fuel supply system for a motor vehicle has two feed units arranged in a fuel tank. The feed units in each case feed fuel out of baffles to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle and to suction jet pumps. This ensures a reliable supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine, even in the case of a very high fuel requirement and in the case of an angled design of the fuel tank.

Abstract: A method and device for transferring a multiphase flow to a predetermined location through a pipe. The multiphase flow is comprised of at least a liquid phase and a gas phase. The multiphase flow is provided to a flow divider that diverts a gas portion from the multiphase flow. A compressor and a pump are in fluid communication with the flow divider. The main gas portion is boosted by the compressor, and the residual liquid/gas portion is boosted by the pump. A recombination manifold then recombines the gas portion and the residual liquid portion. A single pipe receives the recombined multiphase flow and transfers it to a predetermined location.
Abstract: A plumbing system which, when ambient outdoor temperatures drop below freezing, circulates water to prevent it from freezing, utilizing a check valve to prevent water from flowing back into the water main and further utilizing a relief valve which can open to the atmosphere and relieve pressure in the system if necessary. The system can have two separate circulation pumps, one for hot water and one for cold water.
