  • Patent number: 11732937
Abstract: A multi-profile adapter assembly is disclosed for connecting a pressurized fluid source to two or more different fittings. The adapter assembly includes an injector connector removably attachable to a hose connected to a pressurized fluid source and including an internal conduit for channeling a flow of pressurized fluid. An inner housing is connected to the injector connector and includes a channel leading to a second opening and a cavity configured to receive an access fitting on an AC system. A one way valve controls flow from the conduit in the injector connector into the inner housing. An adapter is connected to the inner housing and includes a first contour configured to engage with a first fitting and a second contour configured to engage with a second fitting. The inner housing and adapter are movable relative to one another for changing the location of the first contour and second contour.

  • Patent number: 11326729
Abstract: The present invention provides a socket and a pipe joint which facilitate coupling and uncoupling of the socket and a plug and which can prevent the plug from jumping out of the socket in the uncoupling. In a socket 10 of the present invention, fluid in a built-in plug part 22 is released to the outside via communication holes 40 of a second base portion 18 and a through hole 51 of a third base portion 19 in a semi-inserted state. Accordingly, the pressure in a hole portion 34 does not become excessively high and an engaged part 42 is not unexpectedly pushed upward. Thus, an engagement portion 38 and a second engaged portion 26 can surely engage with each other. Hence, the plug 12 can be prevented from jumping out toward the front end side in the semi-inserted state.

A female adapter on a source side of the coupling uses a valve to prevent a flow of contents from the source when the coupling is not connected or is broken apart. A male adapter on a destination side uses a valve to prevent backflow from the destination when the female and male adapters are not coupled together. Pressure from the flow opens the valve of the male adapter allowing the flow from the source to proceed to the destination. Abstract: The hammer union pressure transducer engages with a cinch nut of a hammer union coupling to cinch a nose end toward an internal sealing surface of a male component of the hammer union coupling. The transducer includes a connection end removably threaded to the nose end. An anti-rotation device engages the connection end and the nose end, inhibiting inadvertent unthreading. The anti-rotation device is removable or shearable, allowing unthreading of the connection end from the nose end as desired. A recess may be formed on the external sealing surface of the nose end and an insert may be disposed in the recess. The insert, if used, may be formed of a material that is different from a material of the nose end. An upgrade kit may also be employed and includes an adapter plate to connect to the nose end.

Abstract: A control valve for connection unit for flexible pipes, comprising a plurality of sectors, (slices or petals), rotatable between a complete opening position and a complete closing position is described. The aforesaid plurality of rotatable sectors comprises at least two series of rotating sectors of different shape and dimensions disposed in an alternate way along the circumference of the connection unit. The smaller sectors can be controlled in such a way to close slower than the bigger ones. The shape and dimensions of the rotational sectors are such to consent a partial overlapping of the borders of the adjacent sectors for a better tightness between the sectors themselves.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one illustrative but non-limiting example, a valve assembly may include a flow module for sensing one or more parameters of a gas flowing through the fluid path of the gas valve, and may determine a measure that is related to a gas flow through the fluid path. A measure related to a gas flow may include, but is not limited to, a measure of fuel consumption by a device or appliance attached to an output port of the valve assembly. Illustratively, the flow module may include one or more valve controllers in communication with one or more pressure sensors, one or more flow sensors, one or more temperature sensors, one or more valve position sensors, and/or any other suitable sensors as desired.

  • Patent number: 8820351
Abstract: A connector for use in a negative pressure coolant system is disclosed. The connector connects coolant system circulating to an electrical component thereby allowing the coolant to circulate through the electrical component. The connector is made up of two components, a component side connector and a pump side connector, and can be in three positions: disengaged, semi-engaged and fully-engaged. An electrical component can be drained of its coolant while the connector is shifted from the fully-engaged position, to the semi-engaged position and to the disengaged position. This can be accomplished without shutting down the negative pressure coolant system, thus allowing a particular electrical component to be disconnected without affecting the cooling efficiency of other electrical components connected to the system. Because the coolant is drained, it will not spill on the electrical component and cause damage.
