Abstract: A processing apparatus is disclosed which is capable of switching supplies of a raw material gas and a reducing gas alternately, while continuously forming a plasma of the reducing gas. An excitation device (12) excites a reducing gas supplied thereinto, and the excited reducing gas is supplied into a process chamber (2). A switching mechanism (20) is arranged between the excitation device (12) and the process chamber (2), and a bypass line (22) is connected to the switching mechanism (20). The switching mechanism (20) switches the flow of the excited reducing gas from the excitation device (12) between the process chamber (2) and the bypass line (22).

  • Patent number: 7543723
Abstract: An air-vented closure assembly for a fluid container has a valve body and a valve element. The valve body has first and second fluid conduits. The valve body has a mounting sleeve in fluid communication with the first and second fluid conduits. A valve member is positioned in the mounting sleeve for reciprocating movement from a closed position to an open position. The valve member has a wall having opposed ends, the valve member having a third fluid conduit therethrough. A first portion of the wall is removed to define an air inlet into the third fluid conduit and a second portion is removed to define an air outlet. When the valve member is in the closed position fluid flow through the first and second conduits is prevented, and when in the open position fluid can flow through the first conduit and air can flow through the air outlet.

  • Patent number: 6886664
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and process for exchanging an engine fluid for maintenance purposes. The fluid is accessed through the engines reservoir for that particular fluid. Used fluid is removed simultaneously with the introduction of new fluid. In order to maintain a constant level of fluid in the reservoir, and thus, prevent overflow or cavitation problems, a control module is presented that enables the user to control the rate of new fluid flow into the reservoir relative to the rate of used fluid and to activate and deactivate the new and used fluid pumps. During operation, the module is located in close proximity to the reservoir such that the user is able to observe the fluid level while relating the flows.

  • Patent number: 6444127
Abstract: A highly versatile drive arrangement that drives a linearly reciprocating piston of a water conditioning unit control valve without imparting any significant side loads on the support structure for the piston's drive rod or the associated seals. The drive arrangement includes a reversible electric motor and a motion converter, such as a lead screw arrangement, that converts the rotary motion of the electric motor's pinion or other output element to reciprocating linear motion of the piston. The reversible motor can be controlled, based on signals from a motion monitor such as an encoder, to drive the piston to any desired position within the piston upon command. This, in turn, permits the operation of the water conditioning unit to be optimized for prevailing conditions and permits the control valve's operation to be altered if, e.g., the piston becomes stuck or encounters an obstruction.
