  • Patent number: 7661444
Abstract: The invention relates to corrugated pipe hose assemblies which are not provided with fixtures and which are used to transport preferably gaseous media in high-pressure applications, wherein a mount (3) is provided in order to receive an open end of the corrugated pipe (6) of the corrugated pipe assembly (2) and which is pressed therewith in order to form a metallic seal. The seal is obtained by means of a sealing bushing (25) between the inner wall (18) of one part (16) of the mount and the ribs (8) of the corrugated pipe (6). Another part (17) of the mount (3) firmly holds a section (27) of the covering (11) of the corrugated pipe hose assembly (2) in an axial direction and also with respect to tilting movements such that pivoting movements of the corrugated pipe hose assembly (2) do not result in a relative movement between the corrugated pipe (6) and the mount (3), especially with regard to one part (16).

Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for providing portable dredging flotation hoses capable of being wound on reels in a reduced volume configuration and transported to dredging sites. Some dredge flotation hoses include a first lay-flat hose disposed about a second, inner lay-flat hose and sealed at both ends of the first lay-flat hose to form an inflatable annular space therebetween. Some devices have a coupling member at either end of the lay-flat hoses to receive and couple the inner lay-flat hose within the outer lay-flat hose and provide external access to the channel flowing through the inner lay-flat hose. A closeable orifice can be provided through the body of the coupling device to allow inflation of the annular volume between the inner and outer lay-flat hoses. Lay-flat hose pairs having sizes of 3 and 4 inches to 10 and 12 inches, and other combinations are provided by the present invention.

Abstract: An apparatus for transferring a cryogenic fluid. The apparatus includes a conduit having an inlet and an outlet, a source of cryogenic fluid connected to the inlet for providing cryogenic fluid to the conduit and a cool down line connected to the conduit at an intermediate port between the inlet and the outlet, the cool down line in fluid communication with the source of cryogenic fluid for providing cryogenic fluid to the conduit through the intermediate port. The cool down line can be external and intersect with the conduit at the intermediate port, or may be disposed within the conduit. The conduit may have more than one intermediate port for providing cryogenic fluid to the conduit downstream from the inlet. Such an apparatus enables a conduit for transferring a cryogenic fluid to be pre-cooled to a cryogenic temperature more quickly so that transfer operations can begin.
