  • Patent number: 10773287
Abstract: A method for the handling of coreless auger, which is produced by an auger production machine from which the coreless auger emerges with a linear motion component and a rotational motion component, includes guiding the rotating auger for linear movement away from the production machine toward a temporary storage facility that has a cylindrical receptacle rotatable about its own axis and a coaxial rotatable feed guide having an axial inlet for formed auger and an outwardly directed outlet for directing formed auger toward an inner periphery of the cylindrical receptacle. The cylindrical receptacle is rotated and the feed guide is allowed to rotate about the axis of its inlet that is roughly coincident with the axis of auger entering the axial inlet of the feed guide. • Patent number: 10704729
Abstract: An insulating member comprises a body of rigid foam material having a first connecting edge surface and a second connecting edge surface, a groove formed into the rigid foam material of the body along the first connecting edge surface, and a tongue formed from the rigid foam material of the body along the second connecting edge surface. The groove, when viewed in a transverse cross-section, tapers from narrow to wide in a direction extending from its opening and into the body. The tongue, when viewed in a transverse cross-section, tapers from wide to narrow in a direction toward the second connecting edge surface. The tongue is bifurcated along its length into first and second ridges by a wedge-shaped void. A polymer coating of polyurea or polyurethane substantially covers the tongue and structurally reinforces the tongue allowing the first and second ridges to flex toward one another without breaking.

  • Patent number: 10689799
Abstract: A rubber molded product such as a brake cylinder diaphragm with a balanced elongation substrate reinforcement in both the warp and fill directions incorporated therein is provided. The fabric substrate reinforcement is woven without size and overfed after the weaving process leading to balanced crimp and elongation in the length and width directions. The fabric member is also woven with a reduced number of weft threads to start, but which are added back by overfeeding to further render the fabric elongation more isotropic in at least the warp and fill directions. The reinforcement substrate is placed in the mold along with the molding material and formed into the desired shape to assist in shape retention and overall structural stability. A method of forming a molded product including a balanced crimp reinforcement substrate is also provided.

A swivel coupling connects two adjacent hose segments, the coupling including a pair of engagement elements configured for fluid tight engagement with an end portion of a respective one of the adjacent hose segments and a swivel element engaged between the pair of engagement elements configured to permit relative rotation between the engagement elements and defining a passageway therethrough fluidly connecting the adjacent hose segments. The swivel coupling allows the adjacent hose segments to swivel or rotate relative to each other to thereby preventing kinking of the hose as it is uncoiled.

Abstract: An intermediate insulating product (20) is disclosed comprising a planar insulating layer (11) having a top side in to which is formed a plurality of parallel channels (14) having cross-sections with tapered sides. A vapor proof layer (18) is applied to the top surface after the channels (14) have been formed such that the vapor proof layer (18) bridges the plurality of parallel channels (14). The intermediate insulating product (20) is then bent with mechanical manipulation in regions adjacent the bottom of the channels (14) thereby causing the channels (14) to close to form a non-planar, derivative insulated ductwork product (30) and the vapor proof layer (18) forms a vapor proof inner lining to the derivative insulated ductwork product (30).
