  • Patent number: 9427302
Abstract: A bifurcation stent system includes a pair of self-expanding stents. Each stent has a C-shaped body section having a generally semicircular cross-section along its length and an O-shaped body section having a circular cross-section along its length. The stents are deployed in vivo such that the edges of the C-shaped body sections abut each other to form a tubular scaffold in a Y-shaped formation that conforms to the bifurcation. In order to connect the stents in vivo, the C-shaped body sections are configured to include a ball and socket connection there between. The C-shaped body sections align and abut to form a tubular scaffold that extends in the main vessel of the bifurcation, while the O-shaped body sections are tubular scaffolds that extend into the respective branch legs of the bifurcation.

Abstract: An assembly of at least two coaxial pipes having at least two coaxial pipe assembly unit elements, one of which has, at one end, a first junction part assembled to a second junction part at the end of another said coaxial pipe assembly unit element, each of said first and second junction parts being a body of revolution, wherein the ends of the two non-welded-together inner second branches of said first and second junction parts are in metal-on-metal contact one on the other under elastic deformation stress via their contact surface as a result of the shrinking of the weld between the ends of the two outer second branches of the junction parts, such that the inner second cavities are leaktight relative to the inside of the inner pipe.

  • Patent number: 8544502
Abstract: An anchor system is shown for use with a pre-insulated piping system having an inner steel carrier pipe surrounded by a layer of insulation and then by an outer protective jacket. The anchor system includes an inner carrier pipe for insertion within the length of the piping system at a selected point. A steel anchor sleeve surrounds a portion of the length of carrier pipe and insulation. It terminates at one end at an outwardly flaring anchor plate which is subsequently embedded within a concrete anchor block. A steel end cap is welded to a second, opposite end of the sleeve and to the inner carrier pipe at a point along the length of piping which is outside the concrete anchor block and which is spaced apart from the location of the anchor plate, whereby heat from the high temperature fluids in the piping is transferred to the end cap at a location along the length of piping which is distant from the location of the anchor plate.

Abstract: A coupling system for conduit and pipe is disclosed. First and second conduit sections are disclosed, each of which has first and second ends. The first end has an outside diameter, and the second end has a belled portion with an inside diameter greater than the outside diameter of the first end. The belled portion has an aperture and a raised lip surrounding the aperture. A threaded fastener is rotatably disposed in the aperture and engages threads of the aperture and an inner surface of the raised lip. The raised lip has a predetermined lip height that is selected to provide a minimum number of full threads engagement between the belled portion and the threaded fastener to ensure the belled portion has a predetermined pull out strength. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed whereby a propellant driven water stream is used in the formation of materials made from high tensile strength alloys. High pressure developed in liquid flowing through a tubular work piece is employed to achieve desired forms. The high pressure results from superposition of compression waves generated in the course of the impact of the liquid by products of propellant combustion.

  • Patent number: 8474490
Abstract: A slip brass nipple includes a tubular brass body that may be approximately 6 inches long. The apparatus includes a threaded proximal end, a non-slip gripping portion and an open distal end n. The open distal end includes an internal stop to allow a copper pipe to slip in and terminate at a predetermined distance such that the gripping portion may be used to tighten onto a female tube fitting. The apparatus advantageously enable galvanized and copper pipes to be connected together while significantly reducing the risk of galvanic corrosion caused by a dielectric reaction between the galvanized steel and copper pipes. The slip brass nipple may be manufactured in ½, ¾, 1, 1¼, 1½ and 2 inch diameters and may be manufactured according to brass material regulations in the industry.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a tube for cable sheath and the cable sheath using the same. The front end of each tube is connected to the rear end of another one. Two side plates are connected to another tube. A cable is received in the cable sheath. Thereby, when a brake cable is received in the cable sheath, the side plates are connected to another tube so as to restrict one of the bending direction degree of the cable that can avoid the cable sheath being bended in all direction. It is important that the side plates can protect the connecting point of each tube quite well and enhance the structure intensity of the whole cable sheath. After standardizing the specification of the present invention, it can be connected to many kinds of products. The present invention has abundant variability and achieves the best efficacy.
