Installation of cables into the channel can include inserting the cables into the dielectric liner before the installation of the dielectric liner into the cable routing channel. The cable routing system can be used in an aircraft, including within space-constrained areas of the aircraft such as inside a wing.

A compressible ring gasket may be friction fit within the second opening, and when the connector engages the cover plate, the lid may compress the ring gasket to seal the second opening.

    Abstract: A composite plug system and a process to repair a hole in a tubular pipe. The process includes the steps of inserting a fastener through an opening in an oblong inner plate having an elongated diameter and a shorter diameter. The oblong plate is inserted into the pipe hole wherein the elongated diameter is greater than a diameter of the pipe hole and wherein the shorter diameter is less than the pipe hole diameter so that the oblong plate is within the tubular pipe beneath the hole. An initially liquid adhesive filler is applied over the oblong inner plate over the pipe hole. An outer plate having a central opening and a diameter larger than the pipe hole diameter is affixed over the pipe hole so that the central opening receives the fastener. The outer plate is secured to the oblong inner plate and the tubular pipe with the fastener until the adhesive filler solidifies. After the filler solidifies, the oblong plate and the outer plate are structurally bonded to the pipe wall through adhesion.

    Abstract: A closing system for pressurized pipes, includes an annular supporting structure, designed to be secured to one end of the pipe, a closing hatch mounted on the annular support, and elements for locking the hatch including a locking ring inserted into an annular cavity in the support to lock the hatch, wherein the inside edge of the hatch is tapered to form an inclined wall for coupling to a corresponding inclined wall in the annular support. The collapsible ring includes a number of sectors, one of which is fixed and integral with the hatch, while the others are hinged to the adjacent sectors, so that they can rotate on a plane parallel with the hatch until they exit from the annular seating and allow the hatch to open. The hatch is opened and closed simply by rotating it around a hinge.

    Abstract: An apparatus for pressure testing a plumbing installation includes a flexible cylindrical body having a peripheral sidewall, a closed end and an open end. A positioning flange extends outwardly from the peripheral sidewall at the open end to facilitate positioning cylindrical body with an end of a pipe into which the cylindrical body has been inserted. An end wall is positioned at the closed end that is. The end wall is curved inwardly and has an inward cylindrical flow channel closed by a partially removable plug. A gripping strip is secured to the partially removable plug that closes an inward cylindrical plug and extends through and past the open end of the cylindrical body, such that upon a force being exerting upon the gripping strip the plug lifts to open the cylindrical flow channel and upon a force continuing to be exerted upon the gripping strip the cylindrical body rolls inside out thereby enabling the cylindrical body to be removed from the pipe.

    Abstract: There is provided an insert to be sealingly mounted into a plug hole of a pipe having a sealing area surrounding the plug hole. The insert comprises an internal unit and a fastener. The internal unit and the fastener have corresponding cooperating sealing portions and mounting portions. The sealing portion of the internal unit is formed with a flange adapted to be forced into the plug hole. The flange and the sealing portion of the fastener have corresponding sealing surfaces. These surfaces are adapted to sealingly clamp therebetween the sealing area of the pipe, when the insert is mounted into the plug hole. One of the sealing surfaces being in the form of a sealing edge and the other being in the form of a conical surface. When the fastener is mounted onto the internal unit, the sealing portions of the internal unit and the fastener form therebetween a chamber. The chamber is in fluid communication with the outside environment, allowing atmospheric pressure within the chamber.

    Abstract: A pipe plug includes two or more pivotally connected plugging heads that work in combination to double block and bleed a pipe. At least one of the plugging heads has an expandable sealing element that is in communication with an inflation source. The sealing element may be an inflatable sealing element or a compression packer sealing element. A passageway-sections of which may pass through the pivotal connection and into the plugging head-carries the inflation medium from the source to the sealing element. A bleed port passageway is also provided that passes through the plugging head. The leading plugging head may include a cleaning element for sweeping away debris ahead of the plug. The plugging heads may also include a skid plate that slideably engages the interior surface of the pipe to properly orient the plugging heads within the pipe.

    Abstract: A pipe plug comprised of two, pivotally connected plugging heads, each plugging head having a sealing element, which work in combination to double block and bleed a pipe. The first sealing element prevents flow of product in the pipe and the second sealing element captures any leakage past the first sealing element and forces that leakage out through a fitting. A stabilization pad, connected to a flange on a nosepiece of each plugging head, prevents deformation of the sealing elements. A spring-loaded pivot arm connected to the second plugging head allows the yoke that connects the two plugging heads to rotate freely. An outward-facing raised taper projection on the pivot arm, along with a guide wheel connected to the first plugging head, prevent the yokes and plugging heads from becoming entrapped during their installation in or removal from the pipe.

    Abstract: A venting probe insertion chamber that is attached to a uniquely designed port which combines the attributes of a probe insertion chamber along with the ability to vent to atmosphere gasses that are present in piping system. This invention combines the functions of two existing products in an economically viable product. This inventive design performs all task required without the need for O-rings or sealing elements present on prior art products. Creating a simpler to manufacture and maintain device that allow for a user to obtain accurate readings of temperature and pressure while using a minimal amount of tooling. The user is able to remove the protective cap while using only a single tool to prevent dislodgement of the product from the associated port. Current state of the art can potentially place a user in harm as accidental dislodgement of their product can occur having only a single operator.
