  • Patent number: 10774608
Abstract: A technique facilitates deployment of equipment, e.g. an electric submersible pumping system, in a subsea production operation. According to an embodiment, a subsea tree assembly, e.g. a horizontal subsea tree assembly, comprises a spool body housing having a channel extending therethrough. A production receptacle structure is secured within the channel and provides a reduced internal profile for securing wellbore equipment. For example, the internal profile may be constructed to sealably receive a cable hanger used to support power cable by which an electric submersible pumping system may be suspended. The production receptacle structure also may be equipped with a production stab for interfacing with a tubing hanger located below the production receptacle structure.

  • Patent number: 10724808
Abstract: A plug assembly is used to block flow through a heat exchanger tube. The plug assembly includes a frusto-conical plug body, a frangible attachment on an end of the plug body, and a ring assembly circumscribing the plug body. When positioned around a larger diameter portion of the plug body, the ring assembly is urged radially outward to seal against and block flow through the tube. An installation device draws the plug body within the ring assembly to set the plug assembly in the tube. The installation device is manually operated, and positions the ring assembly over the larger diameter portion of the plug body by exerting an axial force onto the frangible attachment while simultaneously holding the ring assembly in place. The ring assembly is held in place with a second axial force directed opposite to that of the one applied to the frangible attachment.

  • Patent number: 10683958
Abstract: An “Adjustable Drainpipe Test Plug Device” (hereinafter “Device”) includes a lever arm and a plug seal assembly coupled that lever arm. The plug seal assembly fully or partially mechanically seals the drainpipe when the Device is locked into one of a plurality of plugging positions through a drainpipe side opening. A positioning arm assembly is rotatably coupled to a rear portion of the lever arm to releasably engage the lever arm while a foot of the positioning arm releasably engages a bottom rim of the side opening, thereby locking the Device into plugging position. An adjustable extensible rod of the positioning arm assembly enables the foot to engage the side opening of pipes having different nominal wall thicknesses. The Device may include a through-hole passing from a front side of the plug seal assembly to a rear side, and may include a fluid fill hose sealably coupled to the through-hole.

  • Patent number: 10604336
Abstract: A pre-filled wine glass product is sealed using a rigid lock-on cap. The wine glass illustratively includes a circumferential ledge with a groove against which the bottom rim of the cap seats, creating a liquid resistant barrier that helps to prevent liquid from penetrating under the cap from the outside. The wine glass has a rim with a rounded profile at the outside surface of the glass and a flat profile on the inside surface thereof, facilitating injection-molding manufacture of the glass. The ledge, the lower rim of the cap and a rounded pedestal base of the wine glass have the same diameter, which facilitates the capping and filling of the pre-filled wine glass product by high-speed filling and capping machinery. Further facilitating this is the fact that the edge of the rounded pedestal base is at least 4 mm high and has a flat profile.

When the bladder is inflated with fluid passing into the interior, an outer wall of the bladder is expanded against a wall of a pipe where the plug is located, to hold the plug in place. As pipeline fluid forces act downstream on the frustum of the plug, the frustum moves slightly downstream, exerting a radial force through the bladder and against the wall of the pipe, so that pressure within the pipe and upstream of the plug enhances radial force with which the bladder engages the pipe wall.

  • Patent number: 10330235
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for preventing access to a conduit. The device comprises top and bottom compression plates and a compressible member between the compression plates. A bolt has a first end mounted to the bottom compression plate and a shaft passing through openings of the compressible member and of the top compression plate. The bolt has a head proximate its second end. The head of the bolt extends beyond a major diameter of the threaded shaft. At least a portion of the shaft is a threaded shaft. The head of the bolt prevents a nut mounted on the threaded shaft between the head and the top compression plate from being dismounted from the device. A fluid passage may extend in the compressible member between the top and bottom compression plates to allow a fluid to bypass the device.

  • Patent number: 10301804
Abstract: A method of removing debris from piping within a high-rise building plumbing network includes inserting a portion of a flexible optical device and flexible water conduit into an opening defined by a plumbing system, the flexible water conduit operably coupled to a water pressure device. The method also includes coupling an end of a vacuum conduit, operably coupled to a vacuum assembly, to the opening and producing an image of a plumbing channel defined by the plumbing system with the flexible optical device. Next, the method includes maneuvering the portion of the flexible optical device within the plumbing system until the image of the plumbing channel depicts a debris at least partially obstructing the plumbing channel, inducing a stream of fluid directed at the debris, and then inducing a vacuum within the plumbing system sufficient to remove the debris from the plumbing system.

Abstract: A vehicle with a capsule structure of a power unit includes the power unit and a transmission member. The power unit includes an internal combustion engine that combusts air-fuel mixture in an engine body and outputs a driving force, and a motor that outputs a driving force by using electric power of an electric generator or a battery. The transmission member transmits the driving force of the power unit. The capsule structure includes a heat-insulation casing having an internal space in which the power unit and the transmission member are accommodated, and a partition wall that divides the internal space of the heat-insulation casing into at least a first partition space and a second partition space which are separated from one another. At least the engine body is disposed in the first partition space, and at least the battery is disposed in the second partition space.
