Abstract: A chain has interconnected links each formed by at least one endlessly and continuously circularly woven sheath of tubular shape and circular cross section made of plastic warp yarns and plastic weft yarns surrounding a core. These plastic warp and weft yarns are made of filaments of high tensile strength with a fineness-related maximum tensile strength of at least 5 cN/dtex.
Abstract: A wire stretching device for applying a drag force onto a wire wound around an object is provided. The wire stretching device comprises a primary platform, a first sub-platform, a second sub-platform and a driving device. The primary platform comprises a plate, a fixed stick and a track, wherein the fixed stick and the track are disposed on a surface of the plate, and the fixed stick has a first fixing device for fixing a first end of the wire. The object is fixed on a first stage of the first sub-platform, and a second fixing device is disposed on a second stage of the second sub-platform for fixing the second end of the wire. The second sub-platform is moved by the driving device for adjusting the tension of the wire. The first sub-platform is passively moved along the track corresponding to the tension of the wire.

Abstract: The invention relates to a chain suitable to moor or anchor boats, to lash cargo in road, rail, water and air transportation or for conveying, hoisting, suspending or lifting applications, said chain comprising a plurality of interconnected links. More in particular the invention relates to a chain suitable for the above stated uses comprising a plurality of interconnected links, at least part of the links comprising polyolefin fibers and in particular ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers. The invention also relates to a method for enhancing the strength of such a chain.

Abstract: A fence dispensing apparatus for installing fencing wire along a line of fence posts. The fence dispensing apparatus permits easy setup along with efficient and safe operation. In addition to dispensing wire, the apparatus stretches unrolled wire using a winch and a wire interface. The fence dispensing apparatus essentially comprises a base member that sits on an axle and wheels. Moreover, the base member connects to a motor vehicle via a hitch receiver or a three-point tractor hookup. As the vehicle travels along a fence line, the apparatus dispenses wire from a vertically aligned spindle and/or from a horizontally aligned roller. The spindle disconnects from the base member, permitting it to be easily loaded with wire and set up for operation. Additionally, a spindle lock and spindle support act in concert to safely hold the loaded spindle in position. Furthermore, a wear plate between the loaded spindle and the base member protects the base member from excessive wear during operation.
Abstract: A wide endless-loop chain-link drilling mud separation belt formed of a plurality of laterally adjacent jointed links hinged together by transverse rods is pre-stretched prior to its installation and use on a drilling mud separation unit to prevent subsequent elongation, distortion, misalignment, chain tooth jumping, and side loading. The chain-link belt is installed on and driven in a continuous loop around a pair of parallel spaced cylindrical rollers adjustably mounted transversely in a rectangular frame of a hydraulic tensioning machine. The drive roller has a plurality of axially spaced circumferential rows of radially extending teeth that engage the openings in the links and the other roller has a smooth circumference.

Abstract: A spring interior assembly method and apparatus produces spring interiors formed of a plurality of longitudinally connected columns of spring coils. Preferably, the spring interiors are formed as continuous wire bands each of alternating coils and bridging sections. Corresponding, coils of each column are laced together with transverse lacing wires as the columns are indexed longitudinally through a lacing station and are adjusted to correct lengths as the spring interiors are assembled. A measurement device or other form of sensor at a measurement station downstream of the lacing station in the assembly machine signals the length of a portion of the spring interior, preferably including a number of bridging sections. A processor in the assembly machine controller causes the last laced section to be longitudinally deformed to adjust its length in response to the measurement.
Abstract: Chain link fence straightener apparatus usable to restore bent chain link fence sections or segments without removal thereof from the fence, and including lower and upper tine means arranged on an upright post supported by a ground engageable base member, such upper tine means being movable vertically on a carriage vertically shifted along the post through means of a rack gear on the post and pinion gear means on the carriage, said lower and upper tine means being of substantial horizontal span to engage a plurality of links of the fence at various points along the fence. In preferred form the rack gear on the post is made up of a length of hardened steel chain links and is readily removable and adjustable in tension by means of a threaded anchor bolt at its lower end.
