  • Patent number: 10960327
Abstract: The filter element of a filter has an internal face, an external face, a filtering mesh, two concentric circular inner and outer edges between which the filtering mesh extends, and radial ribs provided on the internal face. The radial ribs extend between the concentric edges and are distributed circumferentially in order to form sectors on the internal face. The filter element is configured to be assembled against a corresponding filter element so that the internal face faces the corresponding filter element. At least some of the sectors have a reinforcing rib connecting a radial rib to the outer edge, the reinforcing rib having a portion that is inclined, when viewed in the radial plane, with respect to the radial rib and to the outer edge.

  • Patent number: 10933353
Abstract: A support grid assembly for use in a vessel. The support grid assembly includes panels each including a first wall including a media-supporting screen and a second wall to be supported by the vessel wall inner surface. A manifold is coupled to the panels and is in hydraulic communication with vessel outlet. The manifold and the panels permit fluid to flow through the screen in each panel, through the panels, into the manifold, and through the manifold to the outlet of the vessel, as well as in the reverse direction. At least a portion of the first wall may slope downward toward the manifold, and at least a portion of the second wall may form a bottom surface that is curved to substantially conform to a curvature of the vessel wall inner surface. The panels may be arranged in a circular configuration extending radially from the manifold.

  • Patent number: 5527590
Abstract: Disclosed is a structural material having a wire lattice configuration. The structural material can manufactured by first weaving a continuous wire filament on a loom assembly. Once woven into arrays of parallel wires, the filament is fixed in position and cut into segments. The segments are then placed in a rig. The rig positions the segments at relative angles so as to form a matrix or mesh. In the final step of the manufacturing process, the wires are welded together using, for example, a forge press. Alternatively, the material can be formed by first holding wire segments in a pair of rigs and then sequentially welding the wire segments together. The structural material of the invention can be used alone or layered to form a multilaminate material.

  • Patent number: 4766661
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for applying a fabric material to a rectangular frame having a fabric retention groove along respective side members thereof. The apparatus comprises a support structure having a planar frame support which is comprised of two pairs of opposed parallel frame engaging members. One of the frame engaging members of each of the pairs is an adjustably displaceable member. Each frame engaging member has one or more gripping elements for holding respective ones of the side members of the frame along a substantially straight axis and actuable to release the side members. A jaw member is provided to position a predetermined length of the fabric material over the frame to overlie the fabric retention groove of the frame side members. A spline cord positioner is displaceable in alignment with the retention grooves for applying a spline cord in the grooves from above the fabric material to retain the material therein.

  • Patent number: 4730378
Abstract: An integrally moulded device for applying pressure to screen material or a retaining bead, to force same into a groove of a frame member is disclosed. The tool has a central body graspable by the human hand and a thin blade member at each end, each blade member having a straight edge surface extending from the body and a convexly arcuate edge surface extending from the outer end of the straight edge surface back to the body. One arcuate edge surface is transversely rounded for preforming screen material into the groove. The other arcuate edge surface is transversely V-shaped for pushing a flexible bead into the groove to retain the screen material therein. The shape of the blade members permits the application of pressure completely into corners defined by abutting grooves.

  • Patent number: 4655907
Abstract: One end portion of a wire net is fixedly secured to a fixed holder on a base frame of a sieving machine provided with a vibration device, the other end portion thereof is fixedly secured to a movable holder that is provided on the base frame so as to be freely movable, this movable holder is biased in the direction of separating the movable holder from the fixed holder by means of a spring provided on the base frame, and also, on the base frame is provided a hydraulic device which moves the movable holder in the direction of approaching to the fixed holder against the resilient force of the spring. During operation of this sieving machine, in orer to clear blocking of the meshes of the wire net, the hydraulic device is actuated only when the particles of raw material which caused the blocking are shaken off by relaxing the wire net and broadening the distance between adjacent wires in the wire net.
