Abstract: A funnel with a shut-off valve terminates the flow of fluid from a reservoir to a spout passageway upon activation of the shut-off valve. The flow of fluid is terminated when a float contacts a seal mounted within the spout passageway. An upper magnet is mounted above the seal and a lower magnet is attached to the float, a portion of which extends over the lower magnet. In the open position, the force provided between the magnets serves to provide lift to the float. When the fluid level in the container rises, additional lift is provided until the lower magnet comes sufficiently within the range of the upper magnet causing the lower magnet to be drawn to the upper magnet. The force between the magnets is sufficient to provide compression of the seal by the float. A ball joint is provided between a control rod and the float to correct misalignment between the float and the seal.
Abstract: A garbage processing machine, wherein both an air supply line, which supplies high-temperature air for drying and air for cooling, and an exhaust gas line, which exhausts the air, are connected to a heating mixer, which dry-processes garbage with mixing, and also wherein the garbage processing machine is comprising a deodorizing apparatus, which is provided in an exhausted gas line and deodorizes exhausted gas at high temperature, and comprising a heater, which is provided in the air supply line and heats air by exhausted heat that is exhausted from the deodorizing apparatus. By this garbage processing machine, garbage can be effectively dry-processed and can be effectively used as feeds of domestic animals or as such. Moreover, by providing a deodorizer, emission of odor at the time of dry processing is prevented and deterioration of the local environments is also prevented.
Abstract: A self-closing funnel includes a downwardly narrowing flow-receiving part 1, a tubular spout 2 extending from the receiving part, and a float 5 which is movable within the spout. The funnel further includes a float-control valve 11, 12 and a permanent magnet 10 which influences the closing movement of the valve. The funnel includes a spring 9 which in the active state of the float counterbalances an essential part of its intrinsic weight, and a constriction 11 provided upstream of the float is configured so that the flow area 8 through the construction is smaller than the flow area between the spout and the float.
