Patent number: 10486954Abstract: A machine for mixing and dispensing beverages includes a single manifold and a randomizing beverage activator. The manifold connects a set of upright beverage holders, each holding a different, already prepared beverage, to a dispensing outlet. The activator dispenses at least two beverages from the set of the beverage holders by randomizing an attribute of a drink. The attribute is chosen from an amount of the beverages and the beverage holders. Modified caps can be used for the beverage holders. The activator determines a dispensing ratio for beverages and converts the dispensing ratio to a dispensing time per beverage holder. The ratio defines the number of time segments each beverage holder is activated.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2018Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Inventors: Mechael Yirmeyahu Brun-Kestler, Greta Pauline Brun-Kestler, Avraham Nachum Brun-Kestler, Mary Kate Sirianni

Publication number: 20080271813Abstract: A funnel with a shut-off valve terminates the flow of fluid from a reservoir to a spout passageway upon activation of the shut-off valve. The flow of fluid is terminated when a float contacts a seal mounted within the spout passageway. An upper magnet is mounted above the seal and a lower magnet is attached to the float, a portion of which extends over the lower magnet. In the open position, the force provided between the magnets serves to provide lift to the float. When the fluid level in the container rises, additional lift is provided until the lower magnet comes sufficiently within the range of the upper magnet causing the lower magnet to be drawn to the upper magnet. The force between the magnets is sufficient to provide compression of the seal by the float. A ball joint is provided between a control rod and the float to correct misalignment between the float and the seal.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 2, 2007Publication date: November 6, 2008Inventor: Jennifer Gruber

Patent number: 6378571Abstract: A system for strengthening containers in a high-speed filling operation is disclosed. The system includes a supply tank having an intake line connected to a source of liquefied gas. A solenoid-driven injector apparatus positioned at an angle to the containers is connected via another intake line to the supply tank. A back pressure regulator controls the pressure within the supply tank and the injector apparatus. A liquid level control valve within the supply tank prevents liquefied gas from entering the back pressure regulator. Upon sensing the presence of a container, a sensor actuates a solenoid which opens an injector valve, allowing liquefied gas within a chamber to forcibly flow through an outflow line into the container. The solenoid is then deactivated, closing the injector valve and blocking the liquefied gas within the chamber from entering the outflow line. The injector apparatus also includes a heater positioned adjacent to the outflow line and an adjustment device for the injector valve.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2001Date of Patent: April 30, 2002Assignee: Coors Brewing CompanyInventors: Robert H. Patent number: 5630452Abstract: A special design of a funnel for filling liquids safely especially into nontransparent containers, e.g., fuel tanks of lawn mowers. To indicate the filling level of the container, a measuring rod of a float is guided in a perforated plate of the funnel. Passage slots, through which the liquid filled into the funnel can enter the container, are located in the funnel tube under the perforated plate. Due to buoyancy, the float strikes the underside of the perforated plate, and as a result it prevents the container from being overfilled.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 1995Date of Patent: May 20, 1997Inventors: Dieter Schmid, Oliver Schmid

Patent number: 5507327Abstract: A hollow-walled cylindrical stainless steel vacuum-insulated funnel with a flat bottom through which a float valve and screen check and filter the gravity flow of liquid nitrogen out through a drain pipe in the bottom. The bottom of the funnel has a small lip raised all around the small pipe outlet to prevent any water condensation inside the funnel from dripping into the EDX dewar. The pipe outlet pierces a dewar stopper and can be permanently left in place on top of a dewar. The hollow-walls of the funnel are packed with foil-backed film in laminations to reduce radiation heat transfer between the funnel's inside and outside walls. A vacuum is drawn inside the hollow walls to minimize heat conduction.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1995Date of Patent: April 16, 1996Assignee: VBS Industries, Inc.Inventor: Alex R. Ziegler

Patent number: 5156197Abstract: A float type liquid level meter is provided having an enhanced resistance against vibration transmitted from outside of the float type liquid level meter. The inventor obtained a finding that an external vibration is amplified with a connecting lever which is composing a part of the float type liquid level meter and a fluctuation of an output signal of the float type liquid level meter is proportional to the vibration of the connecting lever. An enhanced resistance against vibration is achieved by providing a connecting lever having a structure which prevents the connecting lever from generating vibration of a low order mode.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1990Date of Patent: October 20, 1992Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventor: Yoshihisa Kiyotoki

Patent number: 4856564Abstract: An indicator assembly generates a sound when a liquid is flowing through a fill conduit for a storage tank. The assembly has a body with a first connection device for connection with the fill conduit, and has a second connection device for connection to the storage tank. There is a passageway for liquid which extends between the first and second connection devices. An aspirator has an outer opening outside the body which communicates with an inner opening positioned to contact liquid flowing through the passageway from the fill conduit. A sound generator generates a sound with a flow of air therethrough. The sound generator is connected to the outer end of the aspirator so that, when liquid flows through the passageway for liquid, air is drawn through the aspirator from the storage tank, and the sound generator generates sounds.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 1988Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Inventor: Michael S.
