Container Mounted Jet Pump Patents (Class 141/28)
  • Patent number: 11231142
Abstract: The present invention relates to a grease replacement method of replacing grease in a case (84) including a sealable gear chamber (31, 36) accommodating a gear (85) as a member to be lubricated, a grease injection port (61, 62) configured to inject grease into the gear chamber (31, 36), and a discharge port (32, 37) configured to discharge the grease in the gear chamber (31, 36), and a grease suction device to be used to perform this method. The grease replacement method includes a suction step (S2) of sucking the grease in the gear chamber (31, 36) from the grease injection port (61, 62) with the discharge port (32, 37) being open, and discharging the grease outside the case (84), and an injection step (S4) of injecting new grease into the grease injection port (61, 62) and supplying the new grease to the gear (85). This facilitates discharging of old grease.

  • Patent number: 10345045
Abstract: A system for removing molten metal from a vessel is disclosed. The system includes a pump and a refractory casing that houses the pump. As the pump operates it moves molten metal upward through an uptake section of the casing until it reaches an outlet wherein it exits the vessel. The outlet may be attached to a launder. Another system uses a wall to divide a cavity of the chamber into two portions. The wall has an opening and a pump pumps molten metal from a first portion into a second portion until the level in the second portion reaches an outlet and exits the vessel.

  • Patent number: 9046113
Abstract: A Venturi tube assembly includes: a Venturi tube having a body section with an inlet end, an outlet end and an internal flow passage between the inlet end and the outlet end, a pneumatic sucking passage outward extending from a low static pressure section of the internal flow passage to an outer circumference of the body section; and a blocking member having an exhaustion space for communicating the outlet end with the atmosphere, a blocking body movable between an unblocking position and a blocking position and a micro-section movable between a full open position and a micro-position. When positioned in the full open position, the exhaustion space fully communicates the outlet end with the atmosphere, whereby full amount of airflow is exhausted from the outlet end to the atmosphere. When positioned in the micro-position, only a micro-amount of airflow is exhausted from the outlet end to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 8256472
Abstract: A domestic appliance apparatus having a container is connectable to a fluid-containing reservoir that includes a movable actuator for activating a pump for dispensing the fluid. The reservoir is put in communication with the container and the actuator is activated by an auxiliary device to transfer a quantity of fluid from the reservoir to the container. The auxiliary device includes a housing which accommodates a holder for holding the reservoir and an actuator driver for activating the actuator. The auxiliary device may be part of a refilling assembly, which also includes the reservoir and/or the refillable container.

  • Patent number: 5783298
Abstract: A container having a mixture of one part of a two-part epoxy adhesive with a plurality of glass beads pre-mixed therein. The concentration of beads in the final mixture as applied to the joint to be bonded is in the range of about 5% to about 20% by weight, with the beads having a diameter in the range of 0.003 to about 0.030 inches. The mixture is capable of being pumped from the container and applied to a member for forming a hem flange joint with another member. The adhesive/glass beads mixture finds particular utility to help prevent excess squeeze out and promote reliable bonds in processes in which an inner and outer panel of an exterior automotive closure member are joined together by way of a hem flange.

  • Patent number: 5327946
Abstract: A liquid fuel tank filling and venting device includes a hollow body member containing a chamber, an inlet opening for supplying fuel downwardly into the chamber, a fuel outlet opening for supplying fuel from the chamber, and a vent opening connected with the chamber, each of the fuel outlet and vent outlets being independently connected with the fuel tank, whereby overflow fuel is returned to the chamber via the vent outlet. A fuel cap is provided for closing the inlet opening, the fuel cap containing a vent passageway including both a back-flame arresting screen and a fuel surge protector, so that the tank is normally vented to atmosphere when the fuel cap is in the closed position, but the venting passageway automatically closed upon the occurrence of a fuel surge, thereby avoiding undesirable fuel leakage.

  • Patent number: 4537231
Abstract: Dispenser apparatus for simultaneously providing predetermined equal volumes of liquid to each of a plurality of wells. The apparatus includes a disposable multiple chamber dispenser module having a top surface and a plurality of dependent walls each defining a lower chamber for alignment with a corresponding well. Each chamber has an open lower nozzle end and extends upwardly to an opening in the top surface. A die plate having a plurality of concavities is provided with each concavity having an equal volume and a mouth. Each concavity is defined by an inner surface and corresponds to one of the chambers. The apparatus further comprises diaphragm means having a portion extending across the mouth of each concavity. Each diaphragm portion is movable from a first position across the mouth of its concavity to a second position in surface contact with the inner surface defining that concavity.
