  • Patent number: 9969225
Abstract: A system for changing pressure in one or more tires of a self-propelled agricultural machine according to a load differential determined using load sensors on opposing locations of the machine. A load differential may be caused by a disproportionate distribution of forces and/or weight on the machine. Load sensors proximal to the tires may allow determining corresponding loads on the tires and, in turn, the load differential. As a result, tires experiencing greater loads may be inflated, whereas tires experiencing lesser loads may be deflated. In addition, a Human Machine Interface (HMI) may be provided in the operator cab to allow an operator to have further control over tire inflation on the fly while operating the machine.

  • Patent number: 9550333
Abstract: A sealant dispenser, which can cooperate with an air compressor for repairing punctured tires, is disclosed. The sealant dispenser generally includes a bottle with a top opening being filled with a chemical sealant, a cap mounted over the top opening of the bottle, a control valve for controlling an air passage and a sealant passage defined at the cap, and a rotary handle. In use, the air passage receives compressed air from the air compressor, and the sealant passage is connected to a tire to be repaired. By turning the rotary handle, the air passage and the sealant passage can communicate with the inner space of the bottle, which allows the compressed air to flow into the inner space of the bottle to force the chemical sealant contained therein to flow into the interior of the punctured tire, thus repairing the tire.

  • Patent number: 9434216
Abstract: A vehicle tire inflation system includes an air supply source in fluid communication with multiple tires of the vehicle. A pneumatic conduit extends between and is in fluid communication with the air supply source and the tires. Means are fluidly connected to the pneumatic conduit for enabling selective inflation and deflation of the tires. The means include a first pneumatic circuit for inflation of the tires, and a second pneumatic circuit for deflation of the tires. The second pneumatic circuit is discrete from the first pneumatic circuit and is common to more than one of the tires. The means provides controlled deflation of the tires in the second pneumatic circuit based upon a predetermined condition, preventing deflation of the tires until the vehicle is parked, or limiting the deflation of the tires, which in turn enables the tire inflation system to accommodate a desirable increased pressure in the tires.
