Evacuation Apparatus Patents (Class 141/65)
  • Patent number: 12103055
Abstract: A fuel tank cleaning apparatus configured to remove sludge and prevent sludge accumulation in a fuel tank. A sludge collecting pipe lays horizontally along most of a length of a floor of the fuel tank. A plurality of openings penetrate the sludge collecting pipe along its length. The plurality of openings gradually increase in diameter along the length of the sludge collecting pipe to allow for uniform suction along the entire floor of the tank. A connecting elbow fluidly connects the sludge collecting pipe to a suction pipe. A pump is attachable to the suction pipe to create a suction at the bottom of the tank. The fuel tank cleaning apparatus may be positioned during the construction of the fuel tank, may be retrofitted into existing fuel tanks, or may be integrated into the floor of the fuel tank itself.

Abstract: A vacuum cup assembly has a vacuum device with a vacuum passageway and a venturi. A vacuum cup is configured to engage an object. The venturi generates an at least partial vacuum at the vacuum cup when the vacuum cup is engaged with an object. The vacuum cup seals against the object when the venturi device generates the at least partial vacuum. A noise reducing device is at a discharge of the venturi. The noise reducing device has a housing defining a chamber, a plurality of spaced exit openings and a movable cap. Air discharged at the venturi is diverted in the chamber and flows out through the exit openings. A reduced-pressure source of the reduced-pressure treatment system vents positive pressure exhaust into the offloading pressure component to inflate the offloading pressure component. The offloading pressure component disperses forces away from the tissue site. Other devices, methods, and systems are presented.

Abstract: An article storage facility comprises a plurality of storage units for storing transporting containers for substrates and inactive gas feed passages for supplying inactive gas to each of the plurality of said storage units. The plurality of storage units are divided into a plurality of sections. The inactive gas feed passages include section feeding portions which supply the inactive gas to the sections, and storage unit feeding portions which divert and supply the inactive gas, that is supplied to a respective section by an associated one of the section feeding portions, to the plurality of storage units in the respective section. The article storage facility includes a bypass portion which allows communication between two or more storage unit feeding portions, and a bypass switching valve that can be switched between an open state in which the inactive gas can be communicated through the bypass portion and a closed state in which the inactive gas cannot be communicated through the bypass portion.

  • Patent number: 9138177
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for the recovery, visualization and enhancement of latent fingerprints using Low Pressure Dye Vapor Deposition (LPDVD) are described. The LPDVD methods of the present invention provide for fine control over the deposition of a precursor in combination with a fluorescent dye, combination of dyes or a premixed dry solid compound of the precursor and dyestuffs, to make the latent fingerprints visible. The LPDVD process makes use of a heated carrier gas to dilute and carry the vapors into a vacuum chamber where they condense onto the exposed surfaces of the article being developed. The LPDVD process can be used to develop latent fingerprints on a wide variety of substrates, including metal, plastic, glass and thermal paper and has been shown to perform as well or better than conventional fingerprint development techniques on these surfaces.
