Abstract: A device for eliminating a gap of the threaded rod of a plane machine has four gap nuts respectively screwed with four threaded rods under the threaded rod bases of a planing table. Four springs are respectively fitted between the backlash nuts and the threaded rod bases. When the gap nuts are screwed upward, the springs are pressed to produce a pushing-up force to push against the threaded rod bases and the planing table, and the pushing-up force is greater than the total weight of the rod bases and the table. A fine adjusting unit includes a mounting wall mounted on the left end, and a rod member having a first rod section mounted rotatably on the mounting wall, and a second rod section extending eccentrically from the first rod section and received fittingly in an engaging hole in the left thread member such that rotation of the first rod section results in vertical fine movement of the left thread member relative to the left screw rod.

Abstract: A wood planing machine includes a first drive transmission member transmitting a rotating force of a cutting member to a first transmission shaft with two gears mounted thereon. Two gears are splined on a second transmission shaft and are movable along an axis of the shaft such that one gear meshes with a respective one of the gears on the first transmission shaft so as to result in two reduction drives of the second transmission shaft. A second drive transmission member transmits one of the reduction drives to a feed-in rolling member. An actuating member is rotated with a rotating force which is transformed by a cam member into a translation force to move the gears on the second transmission shaft.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention is a compact, low-cost, lightweight, versatile and easy-to-operate, processor-controlled carving and multi-purpose shaping device (“PCCMPS machine”). The PCCMPS machine that represents one embodiment of the present invention is configured, in part, similarly to common, commercially available portable wood planers and ubiquitous laser and ink-jet computer printers, with work pieces fed into the PCCMPS machine in a horizontal direction. The PCCMPS machine includes a motor-powered cutting head that can power detachable bits to drill, cut, shape, and rout a work piece under processor and computer control. The cutting head may be translated, under processor control, back and forth across the surface of the work piece in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the work piece is fed into the PCCMPS machine and moved by motor-powered rollers.

  • Patent number: 6516684
Abstract: A locking mechanism includes a seat having four comers each having a tube foamed thereon. Four guide posts of a base of a shaper extend through one of the tubes of the four corners, respectively. Each guide post is clamped by a respective tube when in a locking position. The seat further comprises two longitudinal through-holes each for receiving a connecting rod. Each connecting rod has two ends respectively operatively connected to two of the four tubes of the seat. One of the connecting rods is moved to urge each tube to the locking position. The connecting rods are linked together to thereby allow synchronous movement of the connecting rods. Thus, when one of the connecting rods is moved, all of the lugs are moved to the locking position to thereby synchronously clamp the guide posts of the base.

  • Patent number: 6510879
Abstract: A device of depth index of a planing machine includes a bottom base, an upper base, an index device and a sensor device. The upper base is fitted with an index device at a preset position in the front. A push rod is pushed up to activate the index device to show a planing depth. The sensor device includes a sensing strip pivotally connected to a preset position under the upper base. As soon as contacting with a wood material moving on the bottom base, the sensing strip will rotate for a preset angle and prop up the push rod to let it activate the index device to show a numerical value of planing depth. As the sensing strip is elongate, a wood material moving on the bottom base can immediately sensed by it, no matter what size or where or how it is placed, obtaining effect of wholly sensing the wood material being planed and ensuring measuring precision.
