Patent number: 10343336Abstract: A tool for use in fusing an outlet fitting in the side wall of a plastic pipe has a base with three perpendicular guide rods. A movable plate is reciprocated on the guide rods in response to manual operation of a rack-and-pinion. The movable plate has a hole oriented to align a drill adapter and an outlet fitting adapter which are interchangeably inserted into the hole on an axis extending through a predetermined point on the longitudinal axis of the pipe. A retractable ratchet strap tightly girts the pipe to secure the tool against the pipe. The ratchet strap assures that the tool always maintains its original orientation on the pipe and the hole assures that interchanged drill and outlet fitting adapters are always returned to their original orientation in the tool. Therefore, the outlet fitting is always fused in its proper orientation in the pipe.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2016Date of Patent: July 9, 2019Assignee: McElroy Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: Michael Tritt, Eric Abbott

Patent number: 6021827Abstract: The machine for surface working of wood workpieces solves the problem of the quality wood workpieces working when passing over the working area of the working head, and when leaving it. The longitudinal central axis of the oblong static rotor, with therein fixed axes inserted and mounted, and front circular plates fixed onto it, is for the .alpha. angle staggered from the perpendicular to the front surface of the guiding plate in a way that the front circular plate is for the .beta. angle staggered from the guiding plate front surface. The .alpha. angle and the .beta. angle are preferentially of the same size, and their size changes inversely proportionally to the size of the outer diameter of the front circular plate, whereby the outer diameter of the rotor preferentially also represents its drive pulley at the same time.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1998Date of Patent: February 8, 2000Inventors: Ledinek Gregor, Ledinek Pavel

Patent number: 4700758Abstract: A device for trimming two opposite edges of veneer to provide parallel edges uses optical apparatus to scan the edges and determine the maximum width to which the veneer can be trimmed. The veneer is scanned at an inlet table upstream in the feed direction from a trimming apparatus in which previously checked veneer is cut to the determined width. The width to be cut is stored in a controlled device. When the trimming apparatus completes the cutting of the previously checked veneer, the control device sets the trimming apparatus for the width of the veneer to be cut and the veneer is moved from the inlet table to the trimming apparatus and is cut.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1986Date of Patent: October 20, 1987Assignee: Georg Fischer AktiengesellschaftInventor: Oskar Bernath
