Abstract: The Professional Portable Mitre Saw Bench was conceived for the purposes of utilising a Mitre Saw on a work site faster. This saw bench was also designed to be lightweight and weatherproof. A measuring tape affixed to the bench in both directions from the Mitre Saw allows a piece of lumber to be placed on the bench, up to the desired measurement and cut without the need to produce a tape measure or pencil. The ‘Slider and Flag’ that are run along a rail above the measuring tape on the bench are designed to expedite accurately repeated lumber cuts. The ‘Flag’ pivots on a bolt on the slider to rise when not needed and lowered when it is. The ‘Slider’ that the flag is attached to is moveable along the rail to get to the position needed for repeat cuts. The result is a simply designed fast cutting Saw bench.

  • Patent number: 7252125
Abstract: A portable workdeck assembly is described as including a specially configured planar work surface on whose upper surface may be mounted a number of distinct bench mounted tools and related accessories, and whose lower surface carries user adjustable means enabling the deck assembly to be interfitted onto a plurality of variously sized and shaped supporting base members. The workdeck assembly therefore readily facilitates the portability of a set of familiar bench mounted tools and accessories to various sites. In a preferred baseline embodiment, one or more rigidifying channels longitudinally disposed on the work surface bottom carry a number of two-axis adjustable feet which enable the workdeck assembly to interfit snugly with variously sized rolling tool cabinets. In an alternate embodiment, a number of cross members with resilient feet are mounted on the work surface bottom enabling the workdeck to be non-slidingly positioned atop any suitably strong horizontally disposed base member.

Abstract: A collapsible table assembly having improved portability. A mechanism interconnects the table and supporting legs for moving the legs between a diverging supporting position, a folding position, and a storage position. A saw track assembly includes an upper platform for receiving a cutting device and a lower platform for supporting a workpiece during cutting connected to the upper platform. Each of the upper and lower platform are disposed above the table. A guide pin pivotally attaches the saw track to the table for allowing the saw track to pivot through a plane parallel to the table. A plurality of material supports supported by the table rotate between a first material supporting position for supporting a workpiece and a second unobstructing position for allowing the saw track to freely pivot through the plane without contacting the material supports.

Abstract: An adjustable power tool attachment for table saws comprises an extension table to enlarge the table saw work surface, and a power tool attached to the bottom of the extension table. The power tool can be vertically adjusted to a desired position, and can be lowered below the extension table surface. The table saw and power tool can be used sequentially, and the table saw fence can be used to guide boards or other workpieces to the table saw or power tool. A dado attachment or other power tool can be used in convenient proximity to a table saw for sequential operations, without the user replacing the table saw blades with other cutting elements, or duplicating expensive equipment.

Abstract: A work table includes a workpiece-supporting box having a bottom plate formed with an outlet port connected to a suctioning device, and a peripheral wall. Left and right guide plates extend inclinedly and downwardly from the peripheral wall toward the outlet port, and have opposing end walls distal from the peripheral wall. A distributor member is disposed between the end walls, and cooperates with the bottom plate to define a lower chamber in fluid communication with the outlet port, and further cooperates with the guide plates and the peripheral wall to define an upper chamber. A working panel is mounted on the peripheral wall, and is formed with apertures for access to the upper chamber.

  • Patent number: 6820524
Abstract: A machine tool has a work table which defines a working surface and has a cutting tool which is attached to and movable with respect to the work table. The position of the cutting tool with respect to the working surface is controlled by a mechanism which elevates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface and angulates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface. The cutting tool is mounted to a support plate which is pivotably attached to the work table. The elevating mechanism includes a threaded rod and a nut which engages a pivoting link. The pivoting link also engages the cutting tool. Rotation of the threaded rod pivots the link which in turn raises and lowers the cutting tool. A spring biases the cutting tool towards its lower position to remove play between the components. The angulating mechanism includes a lever, two cams and a locking rod. Rotation of the lever moves the locking rod longitudinally due to the action between the two cams.

Abstract: An improved portable work bench includes a structural body, and a platform disposed on and frictionally contacting the structural body. In addition, the platform includes an override mechanism for allowing horizontal movement of the platform along the structural body. Further, the portable work bench may include a plurality of legs for supporting the structural body. The structural body may be tubular and preferably has a trapezoidal cross-section. Such work bench can be used by disposing the platform on the structural body, so that the platform frictionally contacts the structural body. Then the user can mechanically override the static friction between the platform and the structural body and move the platform horizontally along the structural body.

Abstract: The present invention involves a metal structure which has provisions for mounting a common hand held electric circular saw while supporting the wood being cut. Using the same tool, a woodworker may make accurate crosscuts, miter cuts, compound cuts, and rip cuts in a wide variety of wood components. Adjustable support wings can be employed to support long pieces of wood, particularly during the ripping process. Integrally mounted wheels provide means for easily moving the invention from one place to another. The invention's small size and light weight allow it to be stored when not in use.

Abstract: A mobile saw bench is designed for cutting elongate workpieces such as elongate open or closed steel sections. The mobile saw bench comprises a base structure which is mounted on four castor wheels. Formed continuous with the base structure is an intervening frame structure to which a benchtop is mounted. The saw is appropriately mounted to the benchtop to permit cutting of a workpiece which is located thereon. Importantly, the mobile saw bench further comprises a universal coupling. The universal coupling is mounted to an underside of the benchtop and is releasable clamped to an elongate member which is in the form of a rigid measuring staff. The universal coupling allows pivotal movement of the benchtop relative to the measuring staff which is stationary.
