Scraper Flue Cleaner Patents (Class 15/104.068)
  • Patent number: 10179352
Abstract: Pivoting brush heads and associated machines in which cleaning of interior tube surfaces occurs by a forward non-cleaning pass of a pivoting brush head through a tube followed by a reverse cleaning pass where the pivoting brush head engages and cleans the interior surface. The pivoting brush head has a first position for the forward pass producing minimum engagement of interior tube surfaces, and a second position for the reverse pass of full cleaning engagement with the interior tube surfaces.

  • Patent number: 9638486
Abstract: There are disclosed embodiments for a paintball swab. For example, a disk is pivotably and slidably attached to the distal end of a rod so there is a proximal and distal limit along the rod. When the disk is at the distal limit, it is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod. When the disk is at the proximal limit, it is angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod.

  • Patent number: 9494318
Abstract: A device for cleaning a chimney preferably includes a rod assembly, cleaning arms, fan blades, a camera, and a stabilizing/positioning assembly. The cleaning arms are provided on an assembly that includes a rotatable hub with the cleaning arms extending from the hub. The fan blades may also extend from the hub or they may be provided separately. The camera is continuously rotatable around the longitudinal axis to allow an uninterrupted 360° scan of the chimney. The stabilizing/positioning assembly is effective to position the cleaning assembly hub a pre-selected stabilizing/positioning distance from an interior wall of a chimney while the hub rotates in the chimney. The cleaning and fan hub(s) is driven by a cable surrounded by a casing that allows the cable to rotate in the casing without rotating the casing. Controls allow the operator to control the speed and direction of the cleaning arms and the camera.

  • Patent number: 9146037
Abstract: Applicant has disclosed a rotating cleaning tool to clean chimneys, ductwork, venting and pipe. In the preferred embodiment, the tool includes a cylinder having: two curved channels in its bottom or proximal face; and two curved channels in a distal or upper surface. Separate strands of monofilament line and/or wire can be placed in the channels with the ends of the strands sticking out from both ends of the channels and the cylinder. An animal nest remover—a flat (or round) bar with upturned ends—can be mounted onto a central post extending from the cylinder. The remover can be used with or without the strands. Upon bolting the tool together, the strands and/or bar are held in place. By attaching the tool to a pole or rod, and rotating the rod after being inserted into the chimney, creosote and other unfriendly materials can be removed from chimneys.

  • Patent number: 8833293
Abstract: The present invention relates to coating of tubes, and more particularly to a system and method for coating and/or renovating deteriorated or pitted tubes to extend tube life and enhance performance. Using this system and method a thin coating is applied to the interior of a tube such that the coating is uniform in thickness and covers all regions of the tube. The coating material may be selected to minimize changes in heat transfer or may be selected to provide for the change in working fluid within the tube such that the working fluid does not negatively interact with the tube material.

  • Patent number: 7993467
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided to remove matte-sticking adhered to an inner surface of an inclined rear jacket of an exhaust gas hood for collecting exhaust gas discharged during the converter operation in copper smelting. Scraping means 10a˜10f are each provided with a scraping part 20 for scraping off matte-sticking by moving slidably across the inner surface of the rear jacket 8 by driving means 11 from a sidewall of the exhaust gas hood to at least over the centerline L of the width of the rear jacket 8. The scraping means are arranged in pairs at both right and left sidewalls of the exhaust gas hood 6 in multiple levels along the inclination of the rear jacket 8, thereby allowing the matte-sticking adhered to the rear jacket 8 to be removed over almost its entire surface.

  • Patent number: 7685674
Abstract: An attachment (10) for an inlet pipe (14) to a wet scrubber or other device comprises a sleeve (16) having an open end (18) adapted to be detachably connected to a flanged end (12) of the inlet pipe (14). A shaft (30) is moveable within the sleeve (16), and a scraper (34) is attached to one end of the shaft (30). The shaft (30) forms part of a pneumatic cylinder (40) attached to the other end of the sleeve (16). In use, the shaft (30) is reciprocally moved to cause the scraper (34) to dislodge particulates deposited within the pipe (14). Heated gas such as nitrogen or dry air is injected into the sleeve (16) to prevent scrubbing liquid from condensing within the sleeve (16) and thus inhibit particulate deposition therein.
