Abstract: An interproximal brush comprises a handle having an end portion provided with a transverse hole communicating with a longitudinal groove for receiving the elongated stem of an interproximal brush. The handle further has a cylindrical boss formed on the lower surface thereof through which the transverse hole extends, and the brush stem is retained securely in the longitudinal groove on closure of a cap, which is pivotably attached to the end portion.

Abstract: A combination golf ball and golf club head cleaner that is mounted to the fender of a golf cart or to a conveniently located post. The device includes a water-tight housing member having a first brush-lined cylindrical chamber for cleaning a golf ball and a second brush-lined parallelepiped chamber for cleaning a club head. A ball holder that retains a ball while allowing it to rotate when scrubbed is mounted for reciprocation along its vertical axis in the ball cleaning chamber. Brushes lining the first chamber scrub the ball and rotate it as the holder is reciprocated. The chambers are in fluid communication with one another so that removal of a single plug drains both chambers.

Abstract: Heavily soiled fabrics are pretreated before the actual washing process by applying a paste containing a mixture of a nonionic surfactant, at least one nitrogen containing compound selected from certain quaternary ammonium compounds, fatty amine ethoxylates and substituted aminocarboxylic acids, and also an antigel agent and a viscosity regulator to the fabrics and subsequently washing the fabrics in a wash liquor. In one preferred embodiment of the process, a distributing aid trimmed in particular with bristles is used to apply the paste.

Abstract: A brush for cleaning the top surface of beverage cans has a cylindrical body member having a central longitudinal bore. A handle on a first end face of the body has a slotted portion for lifting pull tabs of beverage cans and a bottle opener. A plurality of bristles are secured on a second end face of the body, surrounding the longitudinal bore in a circular pattern. A cylindrical sleeve is received for longitudinal sliding movement around the body for selective engagement around the top portion of a beverage can. The sleeve serves as a guide to assist in proper positioning of the brush. A detent is provided for retaining the sleeve in an extended position.

Abstract: A multi-purpose toothbrush for cleaning and brushing a person's natural teeth and also his or her dentures. The device comprises an elongated handle for holding same by a user. An enlarged bulbous member is provided at one end of the handle. This member has a large number of bristles extending outwardly therefrom. One area of bristles has a substantially flat surface while the rest of the bristles provide a curved surface. Two parallel side edges are provided by the junctions between the flat surface and the curved surface. The very end of the bristle covered member is rounded. The side edges and rounded end are very useful in cleaning dentures.

Abstract: A device for cleaning pipe or tubing and fittings is disclosed consisting of an internal brush for cleaning of fittings and an external brush for cleaning of tube or pipe prior to soldering or brazing. Both brushes are provided in a single tool so that either tube or fitting can be cleaned without changing or reversing the tool. A drive socket is provided on the brush holder shell to permit ready interchangeability of tools and ready selection of drive means between manual and motor driven operation. A selection of drive adaptors is provided.

Abstract: A cleaning tool with a bristle body has bristle sets on its underside. On its top side a handle is removably fixed. In order to attain a varied use of cleaning tool, less weight of the bristle body and a simple fastening of the handle, the bristle body has a hollow chamber extending over its length, which is opened in the area of its top side by a continuous slit. Furthermore the handle attachment has a clamping piece disposed in the hollow chamber and at least partially adapted to its cross section, which is connected with the handle by means of a threaded pin extending through the slit.

Abstract: An elongate brush with handle forming a "T"-shape, has a plurality of cups along a top portion, all facing generally toward an end of the elongate brush so that with the elongate brush vertical it can be used for stirring asphalt-type compounds in buckets and for dipping out predeterminable quantities and spreading them, with or without use of a rubber spreader fixed parallel with the elongate brush. The plurality of cups can be made as a unit and need only cover about half the length of the elongate brush from the handle to the end opposite the end that they face. Inclined brush shape is disclosed to facilitate pouring.

Abstract: A scrubber cap assembly comprising a spout and a dispensing cap of the push-pull type for use on a container containing a liquid material wherein the dispensing cap has a generally flat top surface and a skirt extending outwardly and downwardly from the top surface. A scrubbing means is constructed and arranged in a stepped configuration on the exterior of the skirt of the cap. The scrubber cap is pulled open and a liquid material is sprayed on the desired surface, the scrubber cap is then pushed closed and the liquid material is scrubbed into the sprayed surface with the scrubber portion of the cap. The scrubber cap assembly provides a simple, reliable, and inexpensive push-pull dispensing cap closure having a scrubber means constructed therein.

Abstract: An improved toothbrush having a handle and two sets of bristles; one set of bristles being disposed on each end of the handle. One set of bristles is configured as a conventional toothbrush and may, thus, have any one of a number of combinations of bristles and shapes for performing routine dental hygiene. The other end of the brush is unique in both the configuration of the supporting portion of the handle, the crescent configuration of the bristles and the articulation (pivoting action) of the crescent-shaped toothbrush relative to the handle. This portion of the handle is further modified (curved) to support the crescent-shaped bristle as to place them in opposing relationship to the inside surface of the user's teeth. This is achieved without any strain or unorthodox positioning of the brush by the user. Since the crescent-shaped toothbrush is able to articulate (pivot) relative to the handle, it is equally effective in cleansing all inside surfaces of the teeth, not simply the front teeth.

In a preferred embodiment, the buffing rolls are supported in a rotating carriage with their spin axes in coparallel relationship.

Abstract: This application relates generally to animal tooth brushes specifically designed for cleaning the teeth of animals whose teeth and mouth shape is different from human, and whose gums are more sensitive. This will enable pet owners a means of offering oral hygiene which will aid in the prevention of periodontal and related diseases and the reduction of halitosis.The toothbrush comprises an elongated handle securing brush heads which have a plurality of bristle tufts. The heads and the tufts attached thereto taper vertically and horizontally to easily fit and reach the inner reaches of a pet's mouth. Individual bristles make up each tuft which have a diameter of in the range of 0.0025 to 0.005 to accommodate the sensitive nature of pet's gums as compared to those of humans. The tufts are arranged in columns increasing in length toward the handle to form a trapezoidal or tapered bristle surface which aids in preventing slippage from the pet's teeth into the gums, as well as fit the shape of the animal mouth.

Abstract: The present invention entails a dual brush assembly specifically designed for cleaning both iron and wood type golf club heads. A small housing structure is provided and within that housing structure a pair of brushes are movably mounted. One brush is a relatively hard brush designed for brushing and cleaning the head of an iron type golf club. The other brush is a relatively soft brush and specifically designed for cleaning the head of a wood type golf club.

Abstract: A toothbrush having two arms pivotally jointed with cleansing means at the other extremities of both arms. The jointed section comprises several methods for manipulating and indexing the arms relative to each other to permit brushing in various parts of the mouth. The jointed section is composed of bifurcated bridging members for one arm, and an accommodating bar at the other arm disposed to lie between the bridging members. The bridging members and bar are pivotally held together by a control pin which can be manipulated to permit one arm to move relative to the other. The bar and bridging members may be frictionally in contact with each other or can be connected thru gearing and socket devices each disposed to function through special control pins for causing the engagement and disengagement of the said gear and socket devices. Simple finger manipulation of the controlling pin causes selective indexing of the toothbrush arms relative to each other.

Abstract: A package for oral contraceptives that has the outward appearance of a hair brush. A first compartment serves as a pill storage compartment; it retains a three week supply of pills of the type that are individually packaged under a flexible bubble and collectively mounted on a frangible support surface. The floor of the first compartment is apertured and each aperture is pill-sized and positioned in registration with a pill under a bubble. A closure member such as a hinged lid masks the presence of the pill-storage compartment, but when the lid is open and a bubble is pressed against, the frangible support surface for the pill breaks and allows the pill to fall into a second compartment with an imperforate bottom. The second compartment is enclosed on three sides but open on a fourth so that a pill driven through its frangible support surface may be retrieved from such second compartment by tilting the brush.

The off-set end portion extends up from the handle portion at the major brush portion end and carries a second smaller brush which is conveniently positioned at the tip to provide maximum access to the rear molars and wisdom teeth.

Abstract: A brush for removing dust from clothes comprises an outer sheath and a flat rod that is inserted in the sheath so as to be withdrawable from it axially of the sheath. Two pieces of woven cloth are attached to the upper and lower surfaces of the sheath. Fibers protrude from each piece of woven cloth, and all of them are tilted in one direction.

Abstract: This device enables an otherwise slippery bar of soap to be able to be gripped much easier than normally when wet or dry. The bar of soap may also be used to scrub dirt from one's body or from under nails etcetera; and if necessary the brush part may be detached. In any event the soap bar may be utilized in its entirety. The soap bar has an insert providing channels on opposite surfaces of the bar in which a scrub brush is releasably engaged.

Brusheads are connected to the handle by means of curved neck portions extending in parallel directions, yet holding bristle arrangements in opposing directions and at opposite and equal angles of forty-five degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle. Bristle arrangements are specifically constructed to most effectively cover, contact, and clean one-half of each tooth surface area naturally available for toothbrush access. Bristle arrangements consisting of three portions corresponding to three specific areas of one-half of tooth and gumline of user. The opposite one-half of the tooth and gumline being cleaned by using the reverse end of the toothbrush, the identification of which being found on the labeled handle.

Abstract: A toothbrush arrangment is provided specifically for cleaning sulcular areas of the teeth below the gum line. The brush head is curved and has bristles extending from opposite sides thereof, facilitating an improved access to the teeth, particularly at the gingival margins. In one embodiment, the bristles are arranged in rows which may be canted inward along the curve, with tufts on opposite sides of the curved brushing head providing access to oppositely curved dental profiles. In a second embodiment, the bristles are arranged in a single row on a miniaturized brush head. Both of the brushes project downwardly through openings in a hollow lower member of the cleaner body and have retainers that limit the downward movement through the openings.

Abstract: A toothbrush consisting of an integrally molded elongated handle including a generally cylindrical intermediate portion having a longitudinal axis, and two tapered curved neck portions extending from opposite ends thereof, each neck portion having a brush head secured thereto. The bristle brush back plate member is provided with cam follower pins extending outwardly from each side thereof. A U-shaped slide actuator is slidably mounted within the brush housing so as to straddle the bristle brush back plate member in such a manner that the cam follower pins thereof slidably engage ramped cam grooves provided in the inside surface of the side walls of the slide actuator. The slide actuator is provided with control pegs which extend outwardly from the sides thereof through the control peg access slots provided in the sides of the brush housing.

Abstract: An elongated handle, of rectangular cross-section, has a round, flatted brush head mounted at either one end or both ends. The brush head, according to the invention is fabricated from an originally linear, twisted wire frame having a central core portion which secures diametral bristles which effectively project radially from the core portion, and free end portions. The core portion is formed into a circular core, with the free end portions extending transversely and being secured in an axial recess in the handle. The formed brush head, then, approximates a spherical head having opposite flatted sides. The handle end to which a head is secured is preferably bent at an obtuse angle, with the plane of one head core being transverse to the handle plane defined by the main handle portion and bent handle portion. When a second head of similar construction is mounted at the opposite end of the handle, the plane of the second head core is coincident with the above mentioned handle plane.

Abstract: A tool for scarifying the ends of pipe or the like includes a generally rigid body member adapted to be held in a person's hand for manipulation. The body member has opposite ends and includes a longitudinal axis extending across such ends. Wire brushes are secured to the body member against axial and rotational movement relative thereto in outwardly extending relationship to the opposite ends, and with the longitudinal axes of the brushes extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body member.

Abstract: There is disclosed a handle for a disposable appliance that is particularly useful as a dental instrument for holding a disposable swab or brush that is mounted on a bendable stem, which device includes a handle that is of a size and shape to be manipulated with the fingers and having on at least one end a holding means for the stem. The holding means includes at least one groove of a size to receive the stem snugly and a slot located between the groove and the handle with the thickness of the slot being slightly greater than the diameter of the stem. A removable sleeve that is formed with internal contours to provide a friction fit with the holding means cooperates with the holding means, when installed thereon, to form a channel including at least one groove, the channel closely embracing the stem and holding it against slipping axially.

Abstract: A flexible cleaning device capable of reaching into and past drains and traps of common plumbing fixtures and being manipulated in a back and forth scrubbing action while so placed, comprising an integrally formed, elongated stem made of a flexible plastic material and having a large spherical brush on one end and a like smaller brush on the other. A plurality of spaced ball-like enlargements are formed substantially along the entire length of the stem to stiffen and guide it along these remote passageways.

Abstract: A cleaning device for records and pickup style is disclosed, including a cleaning element supporting a stylus brush and having on its lower side a cleaning cover or layer for wiping over the record. A trough-like container is provided into which the cleaning element can be inserted so that its cleaning surface is enclosed. The stylus brush is detachably supported on the cleaning element by means of a fastening device.

Each of said brushes having four equidistantly disposed radial slots therein. The slots, of adjacent brushes being aligned and dividing the brushes into four quadrants.
