Abstract: A paint edging tool that deliver paint with sharp, clear edges at wall junctions. The paint edging tool includes a base wherein the base may include a handle, at least one wheel, a painting pad, a built-in-deflector, and at least one pad ejector. The handle may be configured to allow rotation between multiple positions. The handle may further include an adapter wherein the adapter is configured to be mounted on the handle, thereby allowing a pivoting motion in relation to the wall. The base may include at least one lobe, wherein the lobe is configured to be located on each side of the base, and is further configured to connect with the at least one wheel. The painting pad may be configured to be notched around the at least one deflector and the at least one wheel in order to allow painting inside a corner area of a wall.

Abstract: A hot stick device may include a tool connector having a connector body with a proximal end coupled to a distal end of an insulated shaft, a distal end, and first and second opposing longitudinal sides extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The first longitudinal side of the connector body may include a first interlocking interface. The tool connector may have a fastener having a head, and a threaded shaft extending in a through passageway, a first threaded nut threadingly engaging the threaded shaft, and a spring device coupled between the head and the second longitudinal side. The hot stick device may include an accessory tool with a second interlocking interface to engage with the first interlocking interface and coupled between the first threaded nut and the connector body.

Abstract: An apparatus traps items missed by standard manual floor cleaners, by catching debris that goes over a top surface of a floor cleaner head. The preferred apparatus is adapted for a conventional dust mop with a pivotal/swing handle, and has a connection system with an elongated vertical slot extending parallel to the right-to-left length of the dust mop head and allowing the pivotal/swing handle to freely slide right and left in the slot. The preferred apparatus is also pivotal forward and rearward relative to the dust mop head so that the apparatus pivots forward and rearward with the handle when the handle pivots forward and rearward. The combination of the dust mop and debris-catching apparatus provide great versatility in mopping and debris-catching direction and orientation, including low to the floor under furniture, equipment, or other objects.

Abstract: A cleaning tool comprising a handle assembly and a pad assembly. The pad assembly is coupled to the handle assembly such that the handle assembly extends distally beyond a first end of the pad assembly. The pad assembly includes a pad securing surface having a plurality of pad securing members extending substantially perpendicularly from the pad securing surface, and a slotted member located at a second end of the pad assembly, the second end being opposite the first end. The slotted member defines a slot configured to accept a cleaning pad, and the slotted member extends at an angle from the pad securing surface.

Abstract: Surface-treatment appliance having a base arrangement, which in a functional position can be displaced on a surface which is to be treated, and having a guide part articulated on the base arrangement and intended for controlling the base arrangement manually. An arcuate guide is provided on the base arrangement, on which can be displaced in a linear manner a carriage body. The carriage body is connected to the guide part and is supported on the arcuate guide, at least in the radial direction, by at least two supporting points, which are spaced apart from one another along the arcuate guide.

Abstract: The manway cover tool comprises a ‘T’-shaped handle with a clamp coupled to the bottom of the handle. The clamp may be fastened to the cover handle of a manway cover and the manway cover tool may assist in the removal and replacement of the manway cover. A vertical armature of the ‘T’-shaped handle may pivot just above the clamp so that the height of the ‘T’-shaped handle may be reduced in confined work areas. A magnetic attachment may couple to the clamp and allow the manway cover tool to attach to manway covers with no handle. A ‘J’ hook attachment may couple to the clamp and allow the tool to attach to covers with incompatible or no handle. A support bracket may couple to the ‘T’-handle and provide additional stability and leverage.

Abstract: This invention is generally directed to a paint brush extension mechanism. More specifically, the invention relates to a system that may engage a variety of variously sized paint brushes so as to affix an extension rod to allow a user to “cut-in” to hard to paint areas such as the ceiling line, corners, and along baseboards and trim.

Abstract: A vapor blocking valve for a fuel vapor recovery system is mounted with a two-piece bracket having a base member and a clip member. The base member fixedly mounts on a vehicle structure. At least two bendable wings extend from the base member which are bendable toward one another to a release position. The clip member has an aperture receiving the wings and a clamp receiving the vapor blocking valve. The wings and aperture have a matching profile for selectably locking the clip member at one of a plurality of rotational orientations when the wings are at the rest position. The clip member is movable between rotational orientations with the wings bent to the release position. Consequently, re-orientation of the vapor blocking valve can be accommodated without any changes to the mounting bracket or the structural component to which the bracket attaches.

Abstract: A device and system for holding materials above a created ribbing structure. The device has two unique and novel slip fittings connected together via a plastic pipe that has been cut to a useful length. The slip fittings have a cylindrical attachment port and two wings that serve as the anchor point for a surface. The wings are flat surfaces integrally formed with the cylindrical attachment port and have frictional material attached to the underside thereof. Optional holes are provided on either wing so as to permit a fastener attachment.

Abstract: An adapter for mounting a tool on an extension handle, and the adapter may be elongated with a proximal end and a distal end with a longitudinal axis extending between the distal and proximal ends. The adapter may comprise a socket portion located toward the proximal end and being configured to mount on the extension shaft, and a mounting portion located toward the distal end and being configured to removably receive a portion of the handle of the tool. The mounting portion may include a mounting assembly that comprises an elongated spine member extending substantially along the longitudinal axis of the adapter, and a pair of mounting structures positioned on the spine member at longitudinally spaced positions on the spine member. Each of the mounting structures may comprise a loop of adjustable size.

The body includes a female receptacle having an opening open to an exterior of the first interchangeable tip, with the female receptacle having six facets that form a hexagonal profile. The hexagonal profile is sized and dimensioned to matingly receive the first male end of the hexagonal key, with the head having at least one tool element. Related interchangeable tool sets are also provided.

A method for producing such a toothbrush may comprise the following steps: providing a head, a neck portion, a handle, and a coupling element, and combining the neck portion to the handle by the coupling element so that an irreversible connection is formed.

Abstract: A long-handled personal holder device for personal cleaning, hygiene, and daily living, and is made of resilient material with extendable finger-like grips. The grips are configured to surely grip a tool, but also to release (e.g., so that a user does not have to soil their hands). The curved handle allows proper reach, and is designed for easy break-down, rinsing and cleaning, and for placement in a compact carry bag. The grips can grip a larger personal hygiene flushable wipe, a smaller flushable pad, a sponge for shower use, and/or a an ointment pad; and are also able to hold more rigidly-handled personal tools, such as a toothbrush, shaver, makeup applicator, pencil, pen, brush, and similar items.

Abstract: Disclosed is a brush holder having a hollow, box-like upper structure with interior contours conformable to the shape of the ferrule and heel of a paintbrush. The lower structure of the brush holder comprises a hollow, primarily longitudinal staff, said staff affixed at its top end to the brush holder. The lower, open end of the staff comprises a circular opening with interior female threads. By use of an extension pole having compatible male threads at one end, a workman, after insertion of a paintbrush into said brush holder, may engage the threads of the brush holder with the threads of the extension pole until a firm and secure attachment is achieved. In this manner, there is provided a greater range of brush contact for applying paint to an otherwise hard-to-reach surface.

The relative position of the attachments and the flange may be adjusted to enable the device to be used on a wide variety of cleaning surfaces.

When the broom casing is retracted within the panels, the cleaning apparatus may be used as a mop or scrubber.

Abstract: A device is provided for cutting and/or de-silking corn on the cob. A single unit has a base and a removable cover. A brush for use in removing silks is mounted on one side of the base, and a cutter is mounted on the other side. When it is desired to use the tool on one side instead of the other, the cover is placed over the other tool. The cover then is used as an easy-to-grip palm-fitting structure to push the brush or the cutter along the ear of corn.

Abstract: A paintbrush holder assembly affixes a standard paintbrush to a holder that in turn engages an extension rod. The holder includes a hollow tubular shaft with a circular cross section that includes a first end, a middle portion and a second end. Three or more semi-circular fasteners attach to the middle portion of the tubular shaft via flex points. One fastener includes a lock pin to engage a locking shaft. The locking shaft has an “L” shaped lock track having a sufficient size and dimension to fit about the tubular shaft and capable of sliding from the second end to a point proximate the first end. The extension rod connects to the holder via male threads which secure to female threads located at the second end of the tubular shaft.

In one embodiment, the stem web is secured to a tool to be passed across a surface to be cleaned to capture lint and hair.

Abstract: A light pack which may be an attachment that fastens over the bristle base of the paintbrush handle by snapping or other means into place on the handle. The light pack may fit tightly but removably around the brush handle and may be snapped into place by a plurality of locking pegs on the light pack being pushed into tight fitting openings on the handle. A brush holder that is adapted to engage any regular sized one gallon (4 liter) paint can. A further embodiment provides for a paint can lid that may be used with the brush holder that fits on any regular one gallon, (4-liter) paint can, and is designed to receive the new lighted paintbrush, or any standard style paintbrush with the enlarged handle grip attachment removably installed on the handle. The paint may be a regular sized one gallon metal can or may be a plastic paint can with integral rim.

Abstract: There is provided a duster which is suitable for cleaning. To prevent a brush wound around a rod from slipping in the direction of the length and the direction of the axial rotation of the rod, the duster comprises: a number of sharp protrusions formed on a portion of the rod around which the brush is wound, so that a stitched portion of the brush is stuck to the sharp protrusions to semi-permanently prevent the slip of the brush, thereby maintaining the product to be like a first assembled state thereof, preventing the function of the duster from being deteriorated, and preventing the surface of an object to be cleaned from being scratched by the rod which is partially exposed. In addition, since the slip of the brush is prevented by using no adhesive agent, the product is easily assembled and the cost is greatly reduced accordingly.

Abstract: A bracket assembly for use with cleaning implements such as push brooms has a handle connector for mounting a handle and a plate with a pair of depending flanges that are inserted into the broom head. The bracket assembly may be removably secured to the broom head with a fastener such as bolt and nut to provide an attachment mechanism having sufficient strength to withstand repeated sweeping motion. The removable bracket allows the arrangement of the handle and broom head to be reversed so that both faces of the broom head and bristles can be used interchangeably for sweeping. The removable bracket can be used with cleaning implements having heads of various dimensions and shapes.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus includes a bracket assembly for securely attaching a handle to a block. The bracket assembly aids in securing the handle in a fixed position during use so that the handle will not loosen and/or disengage with use. The bracket assembly may include one or more flanges for engaging multiple sides of the block. The handle and the bracket assembly may be configured to allow the handle to be reversed so that it extends first from the back face of the block and then from the front face of the block.

Abstract: A resilient device for joining a handle to a pivot bar of a wire support frame of a dust mop or other work member which allows for hands free operation to attach and remove the mop head or other work member. The holder includes a resilient member having first and second jaws extending generally parallel from one end of a base. Each of the jaws has an inner wall and an outer wall and which define at least an outer engagement slot and an inner engagement slot between their respective inner walls. The jaws also define an open end distal to the base and a closed end proximal or at the base. The outer engagement slot being arranged transversely to an axial direction of the first and second jaws proximal to an open end portion of the jaws opposite to the base. The inner slot is proximal to a closed end portion of the jaws proximal to the base. Typically, the entire apparatus can include a single or unitary piece of plastic or a single substance.

Abstract: The present invention is for a duster with an extension handle for allowing the user to clean in hard to reach areas. This unique device provides an easier method of removing dust, dirt, cobwebs, and other debris from the tops of door and window frames, ceilings, ceiling fan blades, behind appliances and hard to move pieces of furniture, picture frames, and other hard to reach places. Many users, including short, pregnant, elderly, or disabled people, as well as any person having a limited range of mobility, would benefit from the use of this product. The duster with extension handle would consist of a long, plastic handle with a series of detachable cleaning heads and a handle extension that provides additional reaching capability. One such cleaning head would feature a flexible wire-coated piece that would be used in conjunction with various removable fabric covers for cleaning. The flexible piece could be bent at various angles for maximum cleaning benefit.

Abstract: An improved apparatus and a method of using the apparatus for cleaning tools, utensils, and other objects. The apparatus comprises a container, a first wiping element that is submerged in a liquid in the container capable of removing undesirable material from at least a portion of the object and a second wiping element mountable to the container that is capable of removing excess moisture from the object. The object undergoes at least a two-step wiping comprising a first wiping against the first wiping element while submerged in the liquid and a second wiping against the second wiping element after being at least partially removed from the liquid. The apparatus of the invention reduces the potential for serious injuries from cuts or abrasions from contact with the objects and is more sanitary than systems currently used in the prior art. The apparatus of the invention may also be easily disassembled for cleaning.

Abstract: An apparatus for creating a random image is disclosed. The apparatus has a first support member with a hanging applicator member movably connected thereto. The hanging applicator is provided with at least one reservoir of material to be applied to a substrate. The reservoir has a delivery means extending from the reservoir for transporting the material to a brush means. The brush means provides a random pattern of material to a substrate in response to pressure from flowing air.

Abstract: A brush including removable plates with tines that can be inserted into a complementary handle. The plates, made up of tines connected to a manifold at one end, are retained by the handle. Removable flat plates can be of a unitary construction and can be rolled, stacked or folded upon one another to form layers of tines. The plates are designed to be easily separated from a brush after use to allow for cleaning or replacement. The plates may also be interconnected by a set of hinges. The tines may include a plurality of flutes or ribs that increase the surface area of the tines and aid in increasing liquid retention when the brush is being used. After use, the individual plates can be removed from the handle and easily cleaned.

The clamp-on handle assembly includes a slidable locking element which can be moved from an open position, wherein the handle assembly can be placed over a handle portion of the cleaning tool, to a locked position wherein the locking element clamps the handle assembly securely onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool. Advantageously, no external tools or fastening implements are required to secure the handle assembly to the handle portion of the cleaning tool. The handling assembly allows the user to use the cleaning tool to reach elevated areas or other areas that would be difficult to reach with the user holding directly onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool.

The device includes a sheet-like member in the form of an isosceles triangle having a base edge and two side edges of equal length extending to an apex, the base edge having a length which is greater than one-half of the given length but less than the given length of the brush head, the two side edges forming an angle of substantially 45° at the apex, and the sheet-like member being bent along a line extending substantially parallel to the base edge to form two substantially planar sections which intersect at an angle of substantially 35°, the section adjacent the base edge being adapted for attachment to a top portion of the brush head.

Abstract: A paint roller assembly is disclosed as including a handle that is configured for use with a variety of extension poles, each requiring a different type of connection with the handle. The handle includes a pole connector socket extending inwardly from one end thereof that is designed to receive a number of different pole connectors. The illustrated socket is provided with a tapered wall section and a circumferential groove, with the former being configured to provide a press fit attachment between the handle and connector and the latter being configured to provide a snap fit attachment between the handle and the connector.

Abstract: This invention relates to a brace for mounting a broom handle onto a broom head. The brace includes a strip of wire which is deformed to define two tines for engagement with parallel holes bored through a wooden portion of the broom head, and to define a generally U-shaped recess for receiving the broom handle. The strip of wire is also deformed to define support surfaces for supporting a nut and bolt, which tension the generally u-shaped recess about the broom handle when a broom handle has been inserted into the broom head.
