    Abstract: An improved broom holder to finish newly laid concrete surfaces is provided having a collar designed to accept a number of different commerically available broom handle adaptor attachments. A broom head is adjustably mounted to the collar so that the broom handle can be positioned along the length of the broom head in order to brush hard to reach areas. Interchangeable broom fiber strips are easily mounted to the broom head. A broom fiber strip appropriate to the job at hand can be chosen and slipped into the broom head where it is clamped in place. The broom fiber strips are available in a variety of configurations and color-coded fiber types.

The inner chamber surface has teeth which engage the teeth on the ring and maintain it in place when the ring is pressed to displace the rubber and attached ring against the chamber teeth which prevents the shaft from being rotated when a desired angular positon of the handle and brush is achieved.

The adapter also includes a pin or the like inserted in aligned openings in the base and second member and connected to a Bowden wire or push rod passing up through the hollow tubular member and pole to the pole's upper end where it can be easily moved up and down by the operator to lock the second member against rotation or free it to rotate.

In a first embodiment, a slip ring is utilized to squeeze a collet around a pivot ball. In a second embodiment, a pivot ball is retained in adjusted position by frictional engagement with a socket in the handle of the brush. In a third embodiment, a threaded sleeve is utilized to lock a pivot ball attached to the head portion of the toothbursh in an adjusted position.
