Abstract: A removable cover assembly for a bracket mounted roller is provided and that includes a cover having a contoured bottom to cover a portion of a bracket mounted roller, a pin slidably disposed on the contoured bottom and a retaining tab configured to be slidably received in a slot on a top portion of the roller bracket. The removable cover assembly further includes a lever having a flanged end pivotally coupled to the cover, being pivotal to cause the flanged end to displace the pin, the latch being pivotal between a latched position in which the pin is displaced to cause the retaining tab to be received within the slot to retain the cover assembly to the bracket, and an unlatched position in which the pin is retracted to withdraw the retaining tab from the slot and permit removal of the cover assembly.

Abstract: A floor cleaning device is disclosed. It comprises a brush, which is rotatable around an axis of rotation, and a cover having a cover surface which faces the axis of rotation and has a plurality of ridges constituting liquid channels between them for transporting liquid to outfalls provided at lower ends of the liquid channels. In addition, a method of cleaning a floor is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of providing a brush, bringing the brush into contact with the floor, moistening the brush with a fluid, for example, a cleaning solution, rotating the brush, collecting droplets of fluid, released from the brush due to a centrifugal force associated with its rotational motion, in a plurality of liquid channels provided on a cover, and guiding the collected fluid through the liquid channels towards outfalls provided at lower ends of the liquid channels.

Abstract: An edger for a paint roller, comprising: a roller frame; a roller cover, having lateral edges, the lateral edges being outside a painting width of the paint roller and being configured to glide against a surface without marring the surface; a displaceable mount, configured to have a first position in which a roller cover is fully engaged over the paint roller and a second position in which the roller cover is disengaged from the paint roller; and at least one auxiliary brush, located on at least one lateral edge of the roller cover, configured to provide painting coverage adjacent to an edge of the roller. A paintbrush edger comprising a linked pair of selectively deployed shields, separated by a wicking space, having tips which glide in a corner, protecting a from contact with paint, while withdrawing paint which seeps into the corner into the wicking space.

Abstract: A painting implement cleaning and storage apparatus 10 is provided. The apparatus facilitates the cleaning and storage of painting implements such as a roller 12, a brush 14 and a roller pan 16. The apparatus includes a base 18 and a bracket 32 coupled to the base. The roller 12 is supported on the bracket 32 in an upwardly extending diagonal position between shields 45 and 54 for containing paint spreads from the roller. The brush 14 is supported on bracket 32 in a upwardly projecting position. A roller pan 16 is coupable to shield 45 and supported thereon in a descending position. Once the painting implements 12, 14 and 16 are supported on the apparatus 10, cleaning can be accomplished by the application of a stream of water thereto after which the implements can be left until they are needed.

Abstract: A paint roller with an end-surface blocking structure is provided with a mounting stem coupled to a handle, a roller sleeved on the mounting stem, a connecting sleeve sleeved on the mounting stem, and an end-surface blocking piece pivoted to the connecting sleeve. The pivot connection of the connecting sleeve with the second pivot allows the connecting sleeve to pivot around the first direction and allows the end-surface blocking piece which is pivoted to the connecting sleeve to pivot around the second direction, so that the end-surface blocking piece is capable of rotating in two different directions, which improves flexibility when operating the paint roller.

The roller guard is selectively movable between first and second positions. Abstract: A paint roller with an end-surface blocking piece, wherein the end-surface blocking piece is formed with a blocking groove to prevent paint from overflowing to the surface of a wall that doesn't need to be painted. Besides, the user doesn't have to turn the end-surface blocking piece when painting different surfaces of a wall in different directions since the end-surface blocking piece is round-shaped.

Abstract: A roller guide assembly is attached to a paint roller frame to maintain a consistent space between a surface adjacent to the surface being painted and a roller cover carried by the roller frame. The roller guide assembly includes a guide arm attached to a vertical portion of the roller frame and a mounting clamp that that fits on the roller frame. The mounting clamp uses an adjustable locking screw and tightening knob to secure the mounting clamp to the roller frame. The mounting clamp has a cavity configured to receive the guide arm such that the guide arm extends past the roller cover. The roller guide assembly has a storage clip mounted on the roller frame for temporarily storing the guide arm while the roller cover is being reloaded with paint.

The painting implement cleaning and storage apparatus of this invention facilitates the cleaning and storage of painting implements such as a roller 12, a brush 14 and a roller pan 16. The apparatus of this invention is provided with a base support member 18. The roller 12 is supported on the base support member 18 in an upwardly extending diagonal position adjacent a shield 70 for containing paint spreads from the roller in a predetermined confined area. The brush 14 is supported on the base support member in a predetermined upwardly projecting position. A roller pan 16 is coupable to the base support member 18 and supported thereon in a diagonally descending position.

Abstract: A painting apparatus facilitating the painting of a surface that lies adjacent to another surface that is not to be painted contemporaneously. The apparatus comprises a roller applicator, a shield, a paintbrush, a handle, and a platform. The shield can rotate between a paint loading position and a paint application position. The handle is connected to the platform by a universal joint which allows the handle to be disposed at any angle relative to the platform, which, in turn, allows the painting apparatus to be used in conjunction with an extension pole in edging a wall along a ceiling without requiring the use of a ladder.

At least one stop is formed between the mating portions of the first and second end portions of the edge shield to limit angular displacement of the first end portion relative to the second end portion of the edge shield.
