A vacuum hose is connected to the air intake so that its capacity to draw in air is utilized to draw in spa water and expell it at the jet nozzles. A vacuum head, which is connected at the other end of the hose, is moved along the bottom and sides of the tub to draw in the water, as well as leaves and debris, which are trapped at a filter screen.

    Abstract: Flammable fluid or other incendiary matter (204) contained aboard an aircraft may be removed from the aircraft's interior by means of a special purpose disposal device that utilizes the differential in pressure between the pressurized interior of a modern aircraft and the external airstream. The device itself comprises a main intake nozzle, an intermediate wand portion which is connected to the intake nozzle and in fluid communication therewith and a flexible hose provided with a quick connect fitting for connecting the device to a suitable outlet fitting in the skin of the aircraft. Preferably, several such outlet fittings are provided so that the device can be utilized at different locations within the aircraft's interior without requiring an excessively long hose. Each of the outlets is normally closed by means of a disk-shaped plug held in a flush position with respect to the aircraft's outer surface by means of a removable retainer ring.

A brush may optionally be fitted to the end of the vacuum tube. An adjustable cam is provided to control the amount of suction.     Abstract: Disclosed is a device, intended primarily for home use, for both vacuuming and scrubbing facial skin surfaces to remove oils and debris from the skin. The device is adapted for attachment to a conventional water outlet and comprises a Venturi tube to which is attached a housing overlying the throat suction aperture of the tube. The housing accommodates a turbine rotor which is rotated by the flow of water through the Venturi throat and the rotor drives a remote facial brush. Coaxial with the rotor is a vacuum controlling rotor which may deliver continuous or pulsating vacuum. When producing pulsating vacuum, the rotor periodically interrupts or pulses the vacuum produced in the housing which, via a flexible tube, is utilized by a remote vacuum head applied by the user to his facial surfaces.

    Abstract: The invention relates to total elimination of aqueous deposits in pipelines intended for transporting gaseous fluids, such as a natural gas. The method involves sending, by a nozzle at an end of at least one compressed air ejector, connected with the pipeline, a pressurized driving fluid (for example, under 4 to 8 bars) into a pipeline which aspirates and entrains the gaseous fluid (air+water vapor), the mixture of fluids then being discharged at the other end of the ejector. In practice, multistage ejectors for example three ejectors in series, are used. According to a variant of the method, the step of putting gas which is to be transported into the pipeline is done while the vacuum is maintained in the ejector or ejectors so as always to be outside the limits of flammability of this gas. The method is particularly suitable for drying natural gas pipelines and then putting the pipelines under pressure.

    Abstract: A pool vacuum comprises an elongated pipe section having a flattened debris pickup end and a discharge end for discharging debris into a bag which is removably attached to the pipe section. Intermediate the ends of the elongated pipe section is a larger pipe section which is spaced from and sealed to the elongated pipe section to form a fluid discharge chamber surrounding the elongated pipe section. Apertures are formed between the chamber and the discharge end of the elongated pipe section to direct fluid applied under pressure to the chamber rearwardly through the elongated pipe section. This creates a partial vacuum for causing debris located near the pickup end of the elongated pipe section to be sucked up and directed into the bag whenever fluid under pressure is supplied to the chamber.

The muffler or end cap has a smooth rounded surface and is provided with radially extending openings to serve as an exhaust and muffler. The head further comprises a first and a second passage each communicating at one end with a source of compressed air and each having at the other end an air blast nozzle ending at the conical mouth of the suction head.

    Abstract: To remove particles of debris from a floor surface, a hood is mounted on wheels to move over the floor with the open side of the hood facing downward to form a traveling chamber. An air jet nozzle inside the hood is directed downward and is moved in a circular horizontal orbit by a variable speed motor to agitate the debris particles as the hood travels. A pump is attached to the hood to maintain a vacuum therein and to withdraw from the hood a high velocity air stream entraining the agitated debris particles. The hood is manually steered and is driven by a variable speed motor.
