Abstract: A handbag assembly is provided with separable inner and outer members which allow easy conversion into a variety of different styles and configurations. Specifically, the outer member comprises an envelope suspended from a carrying strap and having an open top closable by a conventional fastener. The inner member comprises a lining pouch sized to be closely received within the envelope. In one embodiment, the inner member is removably secured to the outer member by strips of hook and loop type fastening material which can also be used to seal the top edges of the inner member to one another when removed from the outer member.
Abstract: The present invention provides a handbag, for example a lady's handbag, especially a fashionable evening bag, which is equpped with two or more handles. The handles can be in different styles and are removably attachable to the handbag by easily operated, discreet snaps insertable into sockets on the handbag.
Abstract: A purse including a series of flexible plastic inserts that gives the purse shape when the plastic inserts are bent and placed into the soft "skin" of the purse. These plastic inserts can be removed, if desired, so that the "soft" purse can return to a foldable, storable, cleanable state. Purse straps may be detached and interchanged. Purse flaps may be detached and interchanged. A fitted, removable, liner/organizer lets the user change purses without removing the contents piecemeal.
Abstract: A carrying case comprises an octagonal shaped body fitted with an octagonal shaped lid, a trapezoidal shaped compartment being located on an octagonal shaped surface of the octagonal shaped lid. The compartment is fitted with a trapezoidal shaped lid. The entire perimeter of the trapezoidal shaped lid is defined by four slanting surfaces each which forms an obtuse angle with the octagonal shaped surface of the octagonal shaped lid. Each of the slanting surfaces has an outer edge parallel to an edge of the octagonal shaped surface of the lid. The body includes a wall perpendicular to the octagonal shaped surface and on which is mounted a carrying handle for the carrying case. The carrying handle is substantially L-shaped and has a shorter leg oriented perpendicualar to and fixed to the aforementioned wall and a longer leg spaced from and oriented parallel to the aforementioned wall and has its major dimension in a plane parallel to the plane of the octagonal shaped surface.

Abstract: A purse insert capable of retaining a number of articles in separate pockets such that the articles can be transferred from one purse to another by removing and transferring the entire insert. The pockets of the insert are formed of an elastic material such that the pockets retain the individual articles by the elastic nature of the material without requiring closure means.
Abstract: A convertible purse includes an outer purse having a plurality of panels defining an interior cavity, an inner purse, sized to be received within the interior cavity, the inner purse having a plurality of panels defining various compartments therein, some of the compartments having zippers with distinguishing indicia on their pull tabs, and a fastener to releasably attached the inner purse to the outer purse and allowing the inner purse to be interchanged with other outer purses.
