Abstract: A luggage piece which provides a slim profile in a closed position and a larger opening in an open position when compared to a similar article without features according to this invention. The luggage piece includes at least one gusset, positioned along a side of the luggage piece, which is folded in the closed position and releases and/or expands in the open position to provide a larger opening and thus greater access to a storage space.

Abstract: A carrying container in a form of an ergonomically shaped handbag that has a variety of convenience features. The convenience features include, but are not limited to, a self locking top flap, a secure ID feature implemented in the top flap, a hidden retractable handle, hidden secret compartments, compartment quick access features and detachable shoulder strap, a plurality of interchangeable top flaps and a back flap. A handbag has an ergonomic shape that provides for added convenience of carrying the handbag under the arm. The handbag also has a detachable strap that can be used for carrying the bag in a variety of ways.

Abstract: A case for carrying papers or the like includes a top closure member that is movable between a first open position, a second open position at which a top opening exists permitting access to the interior of the case and a first closed position at which the top opening does not exist. A side closure member releasably secures a sidewall portion vertically in a second closed position, and the side closure member is openable to permit movement of the sidewall portion from its second closed position to a third open position at which a side opening exists permitting access to the interior, where opening of the side closure member is independent of a position of the top closure member.

Abstract: Disclosed is a leash pouch for storing disposable bags and for temporarily storing animal waste comprising a first pocket having an opening, a second, pocket having an opening, the second pocket having a device for at least partially restricting its opening whereby at least one disposable plastic bag can be stored in the second pocket. The first pocket also has a device for selectively closing its opening, the first pocket being adapted to temporarily store a plastic bag having animal waste therein. The pouch has an upper fastener device for detachable securement to a handle portion of a leash for the animal and has a lower device for slidable connection with a linear portion of the leash.

Abstract: A portable carrying apparatus for holding and carrying a compact disc (CD) player and a plurality of different compact discs and including a top lid portion, a middle CD holding portion and a bottom CD player holding portion. All of the portions of the portable carrying apparatus are hingeably connected together so that they can be independently moved away from each other. The top lid portion is held in place against the CD holding portion of the portable apparatus through attachment means. With the top lid portion moved upwardly and away, the CD holding portion which holds a plurality of compact discs is exposed so that the user can take one or more of the compact discs and remove it from the CD holding portion. Thereafter, the CD holding portion itself can be moved away from the bottom CD player holding portion of the portable carrying apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed is a handbag/wallet system having a substantially rectangular compact body with an at least one interior compartment. Provided on the front surface of the body is a front external pocket, made of an elastic material, which is structured to hold a wireless telephone. Attached to the back surface of the body is a belt loop for attaching the handbag/wallet to the user's belt. And an outside compartment may include a pocket for an electronic device, and, optionally, a pouch for a stylus. In addition, a plurality of rings are provided on the body for allowing the user to removably attach a carry cord. The carry cord, in turn, is provided with a means for creating an adjustable loop which may be placed about the shoulder or waist of the user.

Abstract: A sundry pouch for backpacks is a compartment covered by a flap of the backpack. The sundry pouch attaches to the flap of the backpack, and includes pockets and sections to hold toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, mirror, first aid supplies and other sundry items. The pouch preferably has a flap to keep these sundry items in place when the backpack's flap is closed and the sundry items are held upside down in a storage position, but in an upright exposed position when the flap is lowered down from the backpack. The sundry pouch is removably attachable to the backpack flap, so that it can be removed and carried to a washing area of a remote campsite. The sundry pouch organizes the sundry items for efficient, quick, and reliable access. The sundry pouch is small and slim in a closed position within the backpack.

Abstract: A portfolio for use by a participant to a convention, seminar or trade show can be conveniently secured over the back of a seat, provides a surface or transparent pocket for prominently displaying a corporate logo, trademark or association emblem, and has appropriately shaped and dimensioned pockets to hold documents, writing instruments and a cellular phone. The portfolio can be freely provided to such a participant as an advertising medium by installing it prior to the initial meeting over the back of the seat immediately in front of him.

Abstract: A career guidance organizer comprising a bag for storing career guidance information having an open top end and a closing flap extending from a rear wall of the bag body over the open top end to close the open end and a plurality of spaced apart dividers extending between opposite side walls of the bag to present compartments within the bag. Each divider has a different career guidance indicia thereon. Each indicia is indicative of a type of career guidance publication positioned adjacent a corresponding divider. A first indicia relates to mistakes and solutions therefor during career transitions, a second indicia relates to career sourcing options, a third indicia relates to resume preparation, and a fourth indicia relates to interview preparation and post-interview, follow-up procedures.

Abstract: The apparatus for carrying a concealed weapon provides inconspicuous means for carrying a weapon into any social or business setting. It consists of an outer gun case shaped to resemble an organizer. Concealed inside by means of a fastening device is a support structure for securing the weapon. The support structure consists of a removable holder block which has a cavity shaped to contour the outline of the weapon it is intended to hold. The support structure may also have further cavities for holding ammunition for the weapon. The support structure also has easy access portions in proximity to its edge to facilitate the easy removal of the weapon from the support structure. The concealed gun case could also be designed to have an additional chamber that may be independently accessed without revealing the presence of the weapon in the gun chamber. This additional chamber could contain a daily planner and other stationery material.

Abstract: A men's purse is disclosed which is typically carried on a waist belt along the leg of the carrier. The men's purse includes a rear oblong compartment and a slim front compartment. The rear compartment has a zipped top opening for gaining access therein and the slim front compartment is formed by a flap which is zippered to the rear compartment. If the flap zipper is opened, the flap may be swung open to gain access to contents stored within the slim compartment.

Abstract: A diaperbag includes a utility bag for storage and transport of baby paraphernalia, the utility bag defining at least one compartment configured and dimensioned to receive baby paraphernalia therein. An actuatable electronic sound chip for generating sound is secured to the bag. A switch is provided for actuating the chip, the switch being permanently secured to the bag and in operative communication with the chip. In a preferred embodiment, the bag includes a closure for the compartment, the closure being manually movable between an opening orientation enabling free access to the compartment and a closing orientation limiting free access to the compartment. The switch and closure are constructed, configured and dimensioned such that manual movement of the closure from the closing orientation to the opening orientation is normally sufficient to cause the switch to actuate the chip.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a purse having a reminder device therewith. The purse includes as an exterior portion thereof a flap. The flap includes a closeable pocket which is formed by a transparent portion removably attachable to a backing portion of the flap. The closeable pocket, as an exterior portion of the purse, permits viewing of a reminder device placed therein by a user of the purse.

Abstract: A handbag is disclosed which is essentially rectangular with a large central compartment having a top opening. Shallow internal compartments are spaced around the periphery of the opening to hold small items for easy access through the opening. In addition, flat external compartments with slots and flap closures are provided for sheet material which sheet material may be retrieved through the slots in single fashion.
