Abstract: The present invention relates to a golf club cover or accessory bag such a shoe bag, a glasses bag, a cigar bag, a valuables bag and the like. The distinguishing features of each of these items is the fact that they have inner layer and an outer layer which can be separated from one another without visually disrupting the pleasing aesthetic appearance of these items. The inner layer and outer layer may be separated from one another by means of velcro strips or a hidden zipper, for example, so that the outer layer may be embroidered thereon without the threads of the embroidery contacting the contents on the inside of the golf club cover or the accessory bag.

Abstract: A protective cover for the head of a golf club having a main body formed a single piece cut from a sheet of foam rubber material, and a stretchable nylon or polyester fabric is bonded to the opposing surfaces of the foam rubber sheet. The single piece of sheet foam rubber material is folded along a substantially straight first edge and stitches along second and third edges to form a cover having a profile similar to that of the club head which it is to cover. The cover has an opening at the top thereof. The opening can be expanded in size to fit over the head of a club. The cover is also preferably equipped with a pocket. The pocket is sized to received a turf comb, which can be used to dress the grass on which the participants ball rests. The turf comb may be connected with a line or string to an anchor point within the pocket to reduce the possibility that the comb may fall from the pocket and become lost.

  • Patent number: 6463971
Abstract: A golf towel is disclosed that also functions as a putter headcover. The dual-purpose product is formed from a panel of soft, absorbent toweling that is normally folded along at least one longitudinal fold line, and preferably along two such fold lines. It has an external side pocket at its upper end into which the head of a putter may be easily inserted. The towel/headcover protects the head of the putter as it is being carried in a golf bag, and the putter in turn provides the means for supporting the towel externally of the bag where it is readily available for use in cleaning balls and clubs and for transport to a green where the towel may then be used for ball cleaning prior to putting.

Abstract: A slipper-shaped head cover that is especially designed to facilitate convenient installation onto a golf club head after the golfer has made a shot. A preferred embodiment comprises a surface referred to herein as the sole because of the slipperlike configuration of the head cover. The sole is connected to a pair of opposed flaps along respective sides and to a heel along one end. An upper encloses the heel and forms a pocket for receiving the head of a golf club. The upper is affixed to a rear for fully enclosing the golf club head. The upper also terminates in a stiffening lip which holds the pocket open when the flaps are fully opened and separated so that the head cover can readily accept the golf club head. When the golfer removes the head cover from a club, he or she lays the cover on the ground nearby. The sole rests on the ground and the flaps are fully opened revealing the pocket under the upper.

Abstract: A golf club cover having a cover element with a configuration corresponding generally to the configuration of the head of the golf club. The cover element contains an entrance aperture of sufficient size to accept the golf head. A golf club head engaging member is positioned within the cover element. Preferably, the golfclub head engaging member is compressible and of sufficient size to accommodate the club head and it has a shape retaining memory. A plurality of flexible flaps define the entrance aperture. Upon insertion of the golf club head, these flaps can remain in contact with the club head or return to their position prior to insertion of the golf club head.

Abstract: The present invention provides a protective cover for the head of a golf club having a main body formed from a single piece cut from a sheet of foam rubber material. Foam rubber formed from either neoprene or polybutadiene is preferred. For a preferred embodiment of the invention, a stretchable nylon or polyester fabric is bonded to the opposing surfaces of the foam rubber sheet. The single piece of sheet foam rubber material is folded along a substantially straight first edge and stitched along opposite second and third edges to form a cover having a profile similar to that of the club head which it is to cover. Generally speaking, the cover has somewhat the same profile as a baby bootie. Like the bootie, the cover has an opening at the top thereof. The opening can be expanded in size to fit over the head of a club.

Abstract: A removable ceiling fan blade cover comprises a cover member for covering a ceiling fan blade and a closure member. The cover member is sized to cover the ceiling fan blade and has an open end and a closed end. The ceiling fan blade is inserted into the open end until the cover member substantially covers the ceiling fan blade. Thereafter, the closure member, proximal to the open end, is closed to prevent the ceiling fan blade cover from disengaging from the ceiling fan blade during rotation of the blade.
