Abstract: A snow chain and bracket combination for mounting to a vehicle wheel. The bracket includes a first wall which extends through the wheel between the wheel rim and spider. Each chain extends radially around the tire and has opposite ends connected to the opposite ends of the bracket by means of spring-biased clips. The bracket extends inwardly from the rim and is mounted by a lug nut onto the wheel spider. The bracket abuttingly engages additional lug nuts to prevent relative motion between the wheel and bracket.
