Deep Channel Rim Patents (Class 152/381.3)
  • Patent number: 11535053
Abstract: This non-pneumatic tire is provided with a tread ring, a wheel which is arranged radially inside of the tread ring, and spokes which are interposed between the tread ring and the wheel. Further, the wheel has a disc part to which the vehicle shaft is linked, and a rim part which is connected on the inner peripheral side to the disc part and is joined on the outer peripheral side to the spokes. In this configuration, the average thickness (T1) of the disc part is set to be greater than the average thickness (T2) of the rim part. In other words, the relation T1>T2 holds.

  • Patent number: 10647152
Abstract: A bicycle wheel rim includes a rim having a hollow inner part and an outer part which is integrally formed with the inner part. An opening is defined in radial direction of the outer part. A connection unit is formed in the outer part and includes two seats located at an inner bottom of the opening, and two sidewalls extending from the two seats. Two engaging portions are respectively formed on the two seats and located apart from each other. Each sidewall has an outside, an inside and a top face which is connected between the outside and the inside. The inside is a flat inside without any lip or flange. The sidewalls have better strength and protect the sidewalls of the tire from being deformed.

  • Patent number: 10052911
Abstract: A bicycle rim has rim a pair of rim flanges that defines a tire channel. A rim strip extends across the tire channel. The rim strip includes a pair of flange bumpers configured to cover the rim flanges. The flange bumpers each define a flange channel in which one of the rim flanges is received. A pair of safety humps define corresponding tire seating sections where a tire is seated when inflated. The rim strip further includes a drop seal that seals with the beads of the tire to facilitate seating of the tire during inflation.

Abstract: A hairdressing training headform has features simulating a face and neck of a human. A flexible scalp with hair has a peripheral lip. A vertex is configured to simulate an upper portion of a human skull and has a periphery with which the peripheral lip of the scalp engages when the flexible scalp is placed over the vertex. A releasable locking means remote from the vertex periphery biases the vertex toward the headform such that the peripheral lip of the scalp is sandwiched between the vertex periphery and the headform.

  • Patent number: 9421833
Abstract: A reinforced valve stem has two perpendicular tubes, a first tube generally inwardly of a rim and a second tube outwardly and perpendicular to a rim of a wheel. The first tube receives a valve stem and has a threaded inlet for connection to an air source. The second tube threadily connects to the first tube opposite the valve and has an internal smooth passage for providing air into a tire mounted upon a rim. The second tube has a threaded outlet that receives an umbrella nut. The second tube also has an exterior wedge and a truncated conical heel spaced slight above the wedge. The conical heel merges into a shoulder that rotates through the merge of the two tubes to a neck just before the inlet.

  • Publication number: 20030136490
Abstract: The present invention provides a compound, system, and method for retrofitting and converting standard bicycle rims and tires having tubes to be tubeless. Standard tube tires are retrofitted by installing either rim tape or a rim strip with integral valve stem around the inner channel of the rim, mounting the first bead of the tire, injecting a liquid sealing compound into the tire cavity, finishing mounting the tire, inflating, and installing the tire on a bicycle. The sealing compound may additionally contain propylene glycol or an aggregate material to encourage the sealing of the tires as punctures occur when the tire system is placed into use.
