Abstract: A tire for a vehicle comprises, an inner wheel (12) adapted to mount to a vehicle having a radially outer surface (34). A first ring (16) is annular and concentric with the inner wheel (12) and has a radially outer (40) and a radially inner (38) surface. An annular inner-tube (14) is securedly positioned between the inner wheel (12) and the first ring (16). A second ring (18) has a radially outer surface (46) and a radially inner surface (44) adapted to mate with first ring (16). A tread (20) is secured to radially outer surface (46) of said second ring (18).

Abstract: A resilient wheel having tire rim, a central hub portion, a shock absorbing member between the rim and the hub comprising an annular pneumatically sealed, hollow, substantially toroidal member, at least a portion of which is flexible, both the rim and the hub being attached to the toroidal member, one of which is attached to the flexible portion whereby shocks imparted to the rim are absorbed by the flexible portion and air within the toroidal member.
