The rubber composition of the present invention has a small viscosity in the unvulcanized condition and provides excellent dispersion of silica. When this composition is used as a material for a tire tread, a tire exhibiting excellent abrasion resistance, a small rolling resistance and excellent braking property and steering stability on wet roads, can be obtained.
