  • Patent number: 9414499
Abstract: A method for partial detachment of a defined area of a conductive layer using a laser beam includes forming a conductor track with a defined path from the conductive layer on the substrate, the path defining main axes. The area is segmented into zones. A linear recess is provided along a respective perimeter of each of the zones. Each of the zones has a strip shape such that the recesses extend along paths that are substantially straight lines not parallel to either of the main axes. One of the zones to be removed is heated using laser radiation until adhesion of the conductive layer to the substrate is substantially reduced and the zone to be removed is detached in a surface-wide manner from the substrate under external influences. Laser-beam parameters are set such that only the conductive layer is removed without affecting an underlying substrate.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for butt-jointing edges of an elastic material sheet is disclosed. The elastic material sheet is supported such that the two edges to be butt-jointed are oppositely opposed. By moving a pair of counterrotating conical surfaces along the edges, the surfaces of the edges portions are drawn toward the center between the two edges so that the edges are butt-jointed. Between the conical surfaces, a small space is provided so as to form a small rib-like protrusion along the butt-joint. Then, the small rib-like protrusion of the elastic material is pressed down to flatten. Therefore, at the butt-joint interface, the elastic material irregularly interfuses to increase the strength of the butt-joint.

At a vulcanizing step, the tube blank 2' is placed into a heating die 18, and a gas of a high temperature and a high pressure is supplied into an air chamber 3. This causes air remaining in the sealant chamber 7 to be discharged through the air relief port 4.sub.1, while bringing the partition wall 5 into close contact with the sealant chamber peripheral wall 4o, thereby performing a reliable vulcanization. When the tube blank 2' is removed from the heating die 18, the sealant chamber 7 is not expanded because of the existing of the air relief port 4.sub.1 and therefore, the partition wall 5 cannot be provided with an expanding tendency that forces the wall 5 to be stretched toward the air chamber peripheral wall 4i.
