    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a composite warm-keeping textile structure includes the steps of: applying an elastic gripper-puffing mechanism to perform puffing operations upon opened cotton fibers for forming at least one puffy fiber agglomerate; applying the elastic gripper-puffing mechanism to grab unit fiber agglomerates from the puffy fiber agglomerate and further to drop the unit fiber agglomerates onto a first cloth layer on an operational platform; vibrating the operational platform to have the unit fiber agglomerates to be evenly distributed over the first cloth layer, so that the unit fiber agglomerates are formed as a fiber agglomerate distribution layer adhered onto the first cloth layer; and, having a second cloth layer to cover the fiber agglomerate distribution layer, so that the first cloth layer and the second cloth layer clamps together the fiber agglomerate distribution layer in between to form the composite warm-keeping textile structure.

A plurality of linerless duplex labels are provided and each label includes a single-ply stock with top and bottom faces. The adhesive border is an unactivated, selectively activatable adhesive, such labels are overlaid on one another without any substantial adhesion therebetween. Each label may essentially be freely removed from the others, and the adhesive may thereafter be activated so that the label can be adhesively applied to the substrate.

In some embodiments, magnetic contacts may be demagnetized by heating the magnets to a corresponding partial demagnetization temperature (PDT) or Curie temperature. The guide layer has a guide pattern configured to aid a user in trimming excess portions from the applicator generally along a curved pathway, so that the substrate may be customized to fit the lips of the wearer. The kit may include a die cut applicator sheet from which the upper and lower applicators are die cut, suspended and detachable.

    Abstract: A composite wood product and its method of manufacture. The wood product comprises aligned, substantially straight wood strands cut from veneer, disposed side by side lengthwise in substantially parallel relationship with adhesive bonding together the strands. The product is produced in a billet having a width in the range of about 3 ft. to 12 ft. and with a thickness in the range of about 1.1 inches to 2 inches. The strand ends are distributed in a specific pattern that approximates maximizing the minimum distance between strand ends. The wide sides of the billet are coated with a dark colored resin. The billet may be sawn lengthwise into sizes used for joists and rafters. Such a sawn product (e.g. 1.5? by 9.25?) has the wide sides a dark resin color and the narrow sawn sides mostly wood colored. The strands are parallel to its length.

    Abstract: A mat, to be placed beneath an appliance, has a base layer, preferably made of cardboard, a liquid-resistant layer, preferably of plastic, and a layer of batting. The layers are held together by a peripheral rim. The periphery of the mat includes straight and curved portions, such that when two similarly constructed mats are placed in abutment, the curved portions define areas not covered by the mats. Thus, the mats can be placed under an appliance, without disturbing the legs of the appliance, while still covering a majority of the area under the appliance. The mats provide containment for spills of liquid from the appliance, and also define barriers for deflecting food items which might otherwise become lodged beneath the appliance.

    Abstract: A method for placing a resin layer or shim on a frame member uses an overpress. The overpress has an inner surface with protruding nubs. The operator places a bead of liquid resin on the inner surface of the overpress, then clamps the overpress to the frame member. The clamps force the nubs of the overpress into contact with the frame member and allows the nubs to define a clearance between the overpress and the frame member. The liquid resin spreads throughout the clearance and cures. After the resin has cured, the overpress is removed from the frame member, leaving a layer of cured resin bound to the frame member. This layer is then machined to a desired thickness.

    Abstract: In a surface treating apparatus using atomic hydrogen for causing atomic hydrogen to come in contact with a treating object 5 such as a substrate accommodated in a treating chamber 3, thereby carrying out a surface treatment, an atomic hydrogen generator 11 having the function of generating the atomic hydrogen by causing a hydrogen gas to come in contact with a tungsten heater incorporated into a heater cassette 12 in a generating chamber 21a, and the treating chamber 3 can communicate with each other through an opening portion 2c for introduction, and the opening portion 2c for introduction is constituted to be freely opened and closed by means of a shutter member 7. Consequently, it is possible to maintain the generating chamber 21a into a pressure reducing state irrespective of the state of the treating chamber 3, thereby eliminating a waiting time for raising a temperature of the tungsten heater and cooling the tungsten heater.
