    Abstract: A neonatal laryngeal mask airway (NLMA) can be used for airway management in the neonate in emergent situations, e.g., respiratory distress syndrome after premature birth, and nonemergent situations, e.g., elective surgery. The NLMA includes a back plate and a cuff. The back plate provides a shelf, a back plate opening, and a wall, which is perpendicular to the shelf, that surrounds a portion of the back plate opening. The cuff is coupled completely around a perimeter of the back plate. The cuff is configured for inflation from an uninflated state to an inflated state in a patient with a pharynx, a larynx with a laryngeal inlet, and a trachea. In the inflated state, the cuff forms a seal around the laryngeal inlet to isolate the larynx from the pharynx, and the back plate is configured to guide a catheter inserted through the back plate opening into the trachea.

    Abstract: A method of reversible bonding based on deposition of a coating capable of an indefinite number of reversible bonding cycles as enable by bond exchange reactions is provided. This is accomplished by deposition of crosslinkable aromatic polyester oligomers on a substrate. The coated article is heated to produce a fully thermoset network by condensation reactions. The fully thermoset network has access to a type of bond exchange reaction within the resin that permits the dynamic exchange of ester bonds within the resin. To execute the bonding step a source of heat is applied at a pressure. To debond, there is applied force in tension and/or shear that causes the coating to fail. The reversibility of the process is contingent on the cohesive (rather than adhesive) failure of the coating—that is, the coating must not delaminate from the substrate. Failure must occur in the resin of the reversible coating.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a stimulation device includes a probe attached to a first support. The probe includes at least one grating coupler for coupling light into the probe. The device further includes at least one optical source for providing an optical stimulation signal mounted on a second support, and at least one means for detachably attaching the first support to the second support. The position of the at least one optical source is aligned with the position of the at least one grating coupler to allow light emitted from the at least one optical source to be received by the at least one grating coupler.

Pre-oiling of the dry strap and/or the base can be accomplished through a roll metered process to insure that the oil is applied in precise amounts and with consistent thickness and coverage.
