Abstract: A device for producing a laminated film includes a plurality of thin film extruding dies, a case, and a thin film pressing module. Each thin film extruding die has a conveying channel, and extrudes a thin film through the conveying channel. The case forms an accommodation space together with the thin film extruding dies. One end of the conveying channels is respectively communicated with the accommodation space. The case has a through hole communicated with the accommodation space. The through hole is connected to a vacuum pump, and the vacuum pump is used to remove the gas in the accommodation space. The thin film pressing module is connected to the case and is located in the accommodation space. The thin film pressing module receives the output thin films, and then stacks, adheres, and presses the thin films together, so as to form a laminated film.

  • Patent number: 6436216
Abstract: Laminated elastic webs are manufactured in a pre-stretched condition using a laminating machine. A conveyor system located downstream of the laminating machine conveys the laminated elastic webs to packaging machines (e.g. reject splicers and festooners). The conveyor system operates at speeds proportionally less than the line speed of the laminating machine so that the laminated elastic web relaxes from its stretched condition, and becomes fully or almost fully relaxed and gathered before packaging. Sufficient relaxation is important before packaging so that the laminated elastic web does not set in stretched form while packaged, or alternatively relax further while packaged to create dead space within the packaging container. The conveyor system preferably includes an inclined conveyor belt followed by a multi-lane air conveyor. Each lane of the air conveyor gently transports one of several laminated elastic webs from the belt conveyor to the respective packaging machine.

The attenuated fibers (8) discharged from aspirator (6) are deflected sideways by a Coanda device (7) that entrains the exiting air stream along with the fibers. The fibers are deposited on a vertically moving belt (9) and subsequently bonded by calender rolls (20, 21) to form a non-woven spunbond web. The spinning distance L is adjusted by vertically moving the aspirator (6), while the laydown distance M is adjusted by horizontally moving the belt (9) or aspirator (6) or by adjusting the size of the Coanda device (7). Deflection of the fibers exiting the aspirator permits the spinning distance L to be adjusted independently of the laydown distance M, without having to move the spin beam or adjust the height of the web-forming belt.

Abstract: A tubular lining material and a method and apparatus for manufacturing same, the tubular lining material being suitable for reinforcing pipe lines and comprising a tubular textile jacket having on the external surface thereof a coating of plural synthetic resins in the form of laminated layers, characterized in that the outermost layer of the coating is composed exclusively or predominantly of a thermoplastic polyester elastic resin and the innermost layer of the coating is composed exclusively or predominantly of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastic resin, the coating having been bonded superificially onto the external surface of the tubular textile jacket. The tubular lining material is manufactured by simultaneously extruding plural synthetic resins in an annularly layered form superficially onto the external surface of the tubular textile jacket, using an apparatus provided with an annularly arranged multiple extruders.

Abstract: A guide device (11) for feeding cord (2) from a source, such as a reel, to a mandrel (1) via an application roller (8). The device (1) has a body (12) housing a knife (10) for cutting the cord (2), and also houses a cord end retaining means (24) for holding the severed end of the cord from the reel after cutting. The retaining means is a resilient roller (24) which is biased against the application roller (8) to hold the severed cord end between the two rollers. Such a guide device can be used during the manufacture of a cord reinforced elastomeric ply for a pneumatic tire.

  • Patent number: 4853070
Abstract: Apparatus for making multiple hook-fastener media in which many protruding hooks are formed at relatively high speed from suitable bendable and settable plastic material which may be different from the substrate to which these pre-formed hooks are subsequently bonded. Many rows of hooks are formed simultaneously, each row from a strand, for example, a monofilament of longitudinally oriented polymeric material. The formed strands are "set" into their multiple hook row configuration, and then these pre-formed rows of hooks are simultaneously bonded to the substrate. Thus, an attractive substrate of any reasonable width, for example, of three inches, six inches, a foot or a yard, may be used. The production apparatus enables the number of hooks per square inch, either longitudinally or laterally or both, to be adjusted while running.

  • Patent number: 4829742
Abstract: An automatic machine for the continuous production of dual-use filter sachets for infusion products, the filter sachets being in the form of bags or pouches containing successive portions of the products. Along the production line there are a succession of devices designed to effect step by step the longitudinal folding and sealing of a strip of filter paper forming therefrom a horizontally extending flattened tube and for the transverse thermal welding of the tube in a manner such as to enclose said individual dosed fractions. A rotary wheel has pickup elements for applying to the flattened tube equidistantly spaced labels, a longitudinally continuous thread transversely contacting the labels, as well as stickers or tabs weldable by alternate transverse thermal welding partly to the back of the labels. The tube is then sectioned into portions comprising at least two bags and the bags are set back to back and sealed together at their extremities.

  • Patent number: 4790736
Abstract: An apparatus wherein there is provided a source of fiber forming material, with said fiber forming material being pumped into a die having a plurality of spinnerets about its periphery. The die is rotated at a predetermined adjustable speed, whereby the liquid is expelled from the die so as to form fibers. It is preferred that the fiber forming material be cooled as it is leaving the holes in the spinnerets during drawdown. The fibers may be used to produce fabrics, fibrous tow and yarn through appropriate take-up systems. The pumping system provides a pumping action whereby a volumetric quantity of liquid is forced into the rotational system independent of viscosity or the back pressure generated by the spinnerets and the manifold system of the spinning head, thus creating positive displacement feeding. Positive displacement feeding may be accomplished by the extruder alone or with an additional pump of the type generally employed for this purpose.
