Abstract: A hinge comprising: a hinge arm; and a mounting plate by means of which said hinge arm can be mounted to a furniture side wall. The hinge arm is hingedly connected to a hinge member. An adjustment screw is provided to adjust the position of the hinge arm with respect to the mounting plate. The mounting plate has a slot open at one end and having two elongated rims opposed to each other. The adjustment screw is mounted in said hinge arm so as to be turnable but axially undisplaceable with respect to said hinge arm. The opposed rims of the slot engage in the screw thread of the adjustment screw, so that the adjustment screw can be screwed into the slot of the mounting plate.

The actuating piece is provided, in the region of the hooks, with a transverse flat flute. Journals or pins disposed at an end region of the legs of the hinge arm can be pushed in against the force of the resilient tongue in a manner such that the journals or pins are locked between the base of the hooks and one flank of the flat flute.

The adjusting device comprises two screws spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the hinge arm and being perpendicular to the mounting plane of the base plate. The screws are coupled to each other so that rotation of one screw will result in rotation of the other screw.

The cabinet hinge includes a door wing to be mounted on a cabinet door, a frame wing to be mounted on a cabinet frame, a hinge arm that interconnects the frame wing and the door wing, and an adjustment screw, having a head and a shaft, that connects the frame wing to the hinge arm. The frame wing includes a slot and a first engagement area adjacent the slot. The hinge arm is rotatably connected to the door wing, and the hinge arm has a threaded aperture for engagement with the adjustment screw.

In order to ensure that the gap between the door and the corups of the furniture will have a predetermined width after the hinge bracket has been pivotally moved to effect a lateral adjustment of the door, an adjusting screw which bears on the base plate is screwed into the hinge bracket and is operable to impart to said hinge bracket a pivotal movement for effecting a lateral adjustment of the door or flap.

At the inner end of the supporting arm where it straddles the mounting plate, two tongues are provided which can be flexed resiliently parallel to the cabinet wall surface. Each tongue bears a latch section which can be engaged in an associated catch in the mounting plate. The hanger coupling of the supporting arm and mounting plate has an at least partially spherical holding head which is introduced into a slot conforming approximately to the shape of the holding head.

For ease of quick assembly a pivot connection between the base plate of the hinge frame and the mounting plate is provided on the end nearest the door, and on the end furthest from the door a locking side is provided which has an open detent which pivots under spring pressure into the locked position thus connecting the base plate in a quick-release fashion with the mounting plate.

The adjustment screws is threaded so that rotation of the screw in the frame or movable member adjusts the pivot axis of the hinge structure relative to the frame. Abstract: A hinge is disclosed which has a barrel 12 which is screw threaded at least at its ends. A grub screw 16 is inserted into one end of the barrel and can be screwed into and out of the barrel to adjust the relative height of a pin 22 inserted into the barrel to enable the height of a gate to be adjusted. The hinge can be used as a left or right hand hinge by simply inverting the hinge and screwing the grub screw 16 into the appropriate end of the hinge. An intermediate element 70 may be included to adjust for misalignment of the gates. The intermediate element has an eccentric bore 73 and the element can be rotated within the barrel 12 and locked to the pin 22 to adjust the pivot point of the pin 22 in the barrel 12 and thereby adjust for any misalignment of the hinge.

Abstract: Cabinet hinge whose jamb-related part in the form of an arm can be fastened at selectable positions along the length of a mounting plate attached to a jamb on a cabinet carcase by sliding it onto the mounting plate and then tightening a screw. The mounting plate has a spring catch element which as the installation of the arm begins snaps into a corresponding cutout or recess in the arm of the hinge and thus screws it against accidental withdrawal from the mounting plate, without interfering with its further movement for the purpose of a longitudinal adjustment of the arm on the mounting plate. The spring catch has a prolongation brought out of an opening in the cabinet-interior end of the mounting plate, and this prolongation can be shifted resiliently such that the cooperating abutments of the spring catch and opening become disengaged from one another.

Abstract: A hinge for the hanging of a door, especially an inset or recessed glass door, on the carcase of a piece of furniture has a door-related hinge part which is coupled by a linkage mechanism to a wall-related hinge part which can be fastened to a wall of the carcase. The wall-related part in turn is composed of a mounting component that can be fastened to the wall, and of a link holder which is adjustable in a plane at right angles to the hinge pivot axis with respect to the mounting component and can be locked on the latter at selectable positions. The mounting component has a bracket arm projecting from a mounting plate that can be fastened to the wall and has an essentially arcuate mounting surface convexly curved with respect to the wall, on which a complementarily arcuate mounting surface of the link holder can be fastened at selectable relative positions within a particular adjustment range.

Abstract: A cabinet unit has an outer door pivotable relative to an outer portion of a furniture piece to define an outer cabinet, and an inner door pivotable relative to an inner portion of a furniture piece to define an inner cabinet, such as a refrigerator and the like, wherein in an open position of the inner door a gap is available between the inner door and the inner portion of the furniture piece to provide an access to mounting and adjusting screws of a hinge of the outer door.

Abstract: There is described a door hinge which is adjustable by way of three screws in height, in the lengthwise direction and in inclination, wherein wedge surfaces are formed between an adjusting plate and an intermediate plate which prevent an unintentional sliding displacement of the structural parts relative to one another, even when the height adjusting screw is drawn up tight.

Abstract: The open front of the housing of a cabinet is flanked by a vertical strip having a front surface and a second surface adjacent to the open front and making with the front surface an angle of 90 degrees. The strip carries a door panel one vertical marginal portion of which is coupled to the strip by one or more hinges each having a first leaf recessed into the marginal portion of the panel, a second leaf adjacent to the second surface of the strip, and a bracket which is secured to the strip and supports the second leaf. A first section of the bracket overlies a portion of the front surface of the strip, and a second section of the bracket overlies a portion of the second surface of the strip. The second section has holes for fasteners which connect the bracket to the strip. The two mutually inclined sections of the bracket reduce the likelihood of separation of the hinge from the housing.
