Abstract: A first embodiment of an aluminium extrusion framing system comprises a first wedge member and a second wedge member made of resilient material for securing and sealing a panel in the framing system. The framing system also comprises an aluminium extrusion having a channel adapted to receive an edge of the panel therein. A first side wall is formed with a first elongate retention means extending the full length of the extrusion for receiving the first wedge member in connection therewith. A removable cover plate is adapted to be secured to the extrusion and received in close proximity to a top edge of the first side wall of the channel whereby, in use, when the panel is installed in the channel with the first wedge member received in connection with the first retention means, the first wedge member is substantially concealed when the removable cover plate is secured to the extrusion.

Abstract: A hinge device includes a fixed element with a plate that can be anchored to a stationary supporting structure, and a movable element with a hinge body that can be anchored to a closing element. Adjustment elements for the position of the hinge body and the plate include a pair of opposite longitudinal projections integrally joined to a pin that can be inserted into a slot defined in the plate. A pair of adjustment grub screws at the slot promotes the joined rotation of the longitudinal projections and the pin. The hinge body further includes a seat, for the mutual movement of the pin and of the hinge body, with a damping system interacting by friction with the pin to differentially dampen the rotation of the pin and the hinge body. The hinge device may be fixed to the closing element with a pair of clamping elements.

The locking contour includes at least one stationary first member and at least one second member configured to be moved, preferably pivotally, relative to the first member. The at least one holding portion is received between the two members of the locking contour in a locked position.

Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a mounting body to be secured on a furniture carcass, a furniture hinge which has two fitting parts interconnected via at least one joint axle, and a locking device, by which one of the fitting parts of the furniture hinge can be locked to the mounting body. The fitting part of the furniture hinge that is to be locked on the mounting body has three plates which are arranged one above the other and are interconnected at least by at least one common, pin-like retaining part.

Abstract: The insulated cooler includes a body, a lid, and at least one latch assembly. The body includes an outer shell, an inner liner disposed therein creating a gap therebetween, and an insulating layer disposed within the gap. The body defines a cavity therein with an opening formed at its upper end. The lid is removably coupled to the body and covers the body's opening. The latch assembly includes an upper component having at least one aperture formed therein, a lower component having at least one opening formed therein, and an intermediate component having a first portion coupled to the upper component and a second portion coupled to the lower component. The intermediate component is fabricated using a thermoplastic rubber. The upper component is coupled to the lid using at least one aperture. The lower component is coupled to a top portion of the outer shell using at least one opening.

Abstract: A fastener for securing a door hinge to a wooden jamb is provided. The fastener includes an anchor and a screw. The anchor has a wall formed by a plurality of splines enclosing a central inner void extending along the length of the anchor. The screw has a shaft extended between a tapered head and a tip and a threaded portion that extends along the length of the shaft. The anchor is inserted into a drilled hole in the wooden jamb. A door hinge is positioned on the wooden jamb and the screw is concentrically inserted into the central inner void of the anchor. The turning of the screw causes linear displacement of the tip of the anchor towards the tapered head of the screw causing expansion of the wall of the anchor against the wooden wall of the drilled hole and firmly holds the fastener secured in the hole.

A panel includes first and second ends, wherein the first end is fully received in the front channel, and further wherein the second end is partially received in the rear channel. A spacer assembly includes a spacer member and one or more clip members extending upwardly from a base portion. The clip members are clipped to mounting apertures disposed on the second portion of the rear frame member. The spacer member is received through a receiving aperture disposed through the rear frame member. The spacer member extends into the rear channel and engages the second end of the panel when the spacer assembly is clipped to the rear frame member to retain the panel in the channels of the front and rear frame members.

Abstract: To provide a support for supporting a flexible component and a light-emitting device. A first substrate, a second substrate, a rack, a pinion, and a hinge are provided. When the second substrate is moved, the rotational force of the pinion is transmitted to the rack of the first substrate and thus the first substrate is moved in the horizontal direction while being overlapped with one of hinge pieces of the hinge; accordingly, the flexible component can be bent while the flexible component is fixed to the first substrate and the second substrate and the allowable curvature radius is maintained in the vicinity of the hinge.

Abstract: A motor vehicle is disclosed having A-pillars and B-pillars on a first side of the motor vehicle and a B-pillar but no ‘A’ pillar on a second side of the motor vehicle. A wrap around window extends from the A-pillar on the first side of the motor vehicle substantially without interruption to the B-pillar on the second side of the motor vehicle. The wrap around window forms part of a top hinged door that provides access to a passenger compartment when in an open state.

The first connection part is coupled to the first housing. The second connection part is coupled to the second housing. Abstract: A flex hinge assembly includes a first flex hinge, which in turn includes multiple flexible sheets, a mounting bracket, multiple flexible spacer sheets, and a friction linkage element. A first flexible sheet bends at a different radius than a second flexible sheet when the first flex hinge is transitioned from a first position to a second position. The mounting bracket is fixed to a first end of each of the flexible sheets, and fixes the first end of each of the flexible sheets to a first portion of an information handling system. A first spacer sheet is located between and in physical communication with the first and second flexible sheet. The friction linkage element is mounted to the second flexible sheet and engaged with slots within a second end of each of the flexible sheets. A second mounting bracket couples the second end of a center flexible sheet to the information handling system.

In one aspect, the foldable display includes a bendable display panel and a housing positioned at a rear side of the display panel and configuration to be folded and unfolded. The foldable display also includes a sliding unit installed between the display panel and the housing and configured to slide the display panel along the housing so as to alter a bending region of the display panel that is folded when the foldable display is folded.

Abstract: The present invention is a garnish that is specially designed to cover the hinge arm connecting a vehicle truck lid to the vehicle. The cover includes an inside surface, a first end and a second end. The cover further includes a rib and a flange portion. The rib is located along the inside surface of the cover at the first end. Opposite the rib, the flange portion extends generally orthogonally from the first end of the cover. The rib and flange portion help to secure the garnish and increase its effectiveness at covering other components of the vehicle.

Abstract: A sandwich mechanism is disclosed that has to opposing members that form a pocket into which material such as downspout sheet metal can be inserted. The opposing members clamp onto the downspout and can be secured into place using a screw that passes through the opposing members and the inserted downspout. Two sandwich mechanisms may be coupled together using a brace or a hinged member. The hinged member will permit a user to independently articulate the coupled pieces of downspout or downspout extension.

Abstract: A downspout hinge system where a plurality of downspout hinges are used as a one-size-fits-all solution for downspouts of a variety of sizes. The system of hinges utilize a first downspout hinge and a second downspout hinge coupling a downspout to a downspout extension. The downspout hinges are coupled to opposing surfaces of the downspout, including opposing sides of the same horizontal surface. The first and the second plates can be substantially parallel.

Abstract: A method for installing a truss-wall stud unit includes coupling a set of bottom plates with a foundation, coupling a set of hinge brackets with the set of bottom plates, coupling a first partial truss with a second partial truss to form a truss-wall stud unit, coupling the truss-wall stud unit with the bottom plates and hinge brackets, and hoisting the truss-wall stud unit into a substantially vertical position. A system includes truss-wall stud units which are connected to bottom plates using hinge brackets. Once connected to the hinge brackets and bottom plates, the truss-wall stud units are hoisted upright into a substantially vertical position using a cable system with a cable support system. Temporary interlocking spacer bars are used to brace the truss-wall stud units at predetermined intervals.

Abstract: I designed the “Classic Step Store Gate”, It does not use a pivot post. Classic, Step Store Gate uses my special hinge made by modifying a strap hinge. “Classic” is different in design; “Classic” has a rounded firm handrail across the top, and can help prevent a fall at the steps. It is used at steps going up or down. The opening end of the gate is lifted to open toward steps or into the room. The “Classic Step Store Gate”, has an attractive clean look from the front view, and an interesting mechanical view from the back. The gate can be stored along the wall on the steps.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for pivotably attaching a door to a home appliance includes a hinge bracket having a body; a hooking member that releasably engages a receiving feature of the home appliance; and a securing member fixed to the body. A fastener secures the securing member to the appliance in an operating position of the door and such that removal of the fastener releases the securing member from the home appliance so that the hooking member can be disengaged from the receiving feature to allow removal of the door from the home appliance, and the engagement of the hooking member with the receiving feature supports the weight of the door when the fastener is removed such that the receiving feature of the appliance supports the weight of the door to maintain a temporary vertical position of the door.

Abstract: A foldable carport comprising a header having a hinge socket fastened to an inhabitable structure and, a connection beam, a tilt beam, and a roof deck spanning between the two beams, all of which comprise a roof assembly. The connection beam includes a hinge member that is received into the header socket thereby operably connecting the roof assembly to the header. The operable connection allows the roof assembly to be positioned in an erected position or a folded position. When erected, the tilt beam is supported by a plurality of posts that may bear on a concrete slab, footing, or the ground. The foldable carport may also include a carrier plate coupled to the mobile residence configured to fasten the roof assembly to the mobile residence when the carport is in the folded position.

Abstract: A hinge structure includes a first connecting member, a tray for securing a first component, and a second connecting member for securing a second component. The first connecting member includes two clamping panels substantially parallel to each other. A retaining panel extends from the tray. The second connecting member is rotatably secured to the first connecting member. The retaining panel is located between the two clamping panels, for preventing the tray from moving in a direction substantially perpendicular to the two clamping panels.

Abstract: The invention relates to a furniture hinge comprising a base plate, which is designed to be fastened to a furniture body, and a hinge arm that is mounted so as to be movable by an adjustment device in a controlled manner relative to the base plate within a predetermined adjustment range, wherein the adjustment device prevents the hinge arm from falling from the base plate by displacement. The furniture hinge has a fall guard for the hinge arm which prevents the hinge arm from falling relative to the base plate upon uncontrolled displacement of the hinge arm caused by failure of the adjustment device, and the hinge arm is mounted so as to be movable relative to the base plate within the predetermined adjustment range despite the fall guard.
