Handle With Ergonomic Structure (e.g., Finger Engagement Structure Such As Indents, Grooves, Etc.) And Handle User-interaction (human Engineering) Enhancements Such As Improved Handle Dimensions And Handle Positioning Patents (Class 16/430)
  • Patent number: 11969871
Abstract: A portable power tool includes a tool accessory, drive mechanism, housing and grip having a rotating axis. The grip includes grip portion having a first face and a second face. The grip portion is formed in a rotation asymmetric shape to the rotating axis. The grip is attachable to the housing with respect to a rotating angle around the rotating axis at a first angle and a second angle. When the grip is viewed in the rotating axis extending direction, the position of the first surface and the position of the second surface in the circumferential direction around the rotating axis in a case that the rotating angle is at the first angle are different from the position of the first surface and the position of the second surface in the circumferential direction around the rotating axis in a case that the rotating angle is at the second angle.

Abstract: An ergonomic handle assembly can allow an operator to comfortably support weight of a fluid filled reservoir connected to a fluid applicator sprayer. Any combination of first, second and third shoulders can be formed on the handle assembly to provide increased support surface area in three dimensions with respect to a hand of an operator supporting the fluid applicator spray gun for distributing weight across both the palm and fingers through a proximal support surface of the first support shoulder, the distal support surface of the second support shoulder, and the proximal support surface of the third support shoulder. The increased support surface area can allow an operator to support and handle the fluid applicator spray gun with reduced gripping force when compared to existing fluid applicator spray guns. The reduced gripping force can reduce the likelihood of repetitive stress syndrome injuries to the hand and arm of an operator.

Abstract: Handle configurations are disclosed for powered implements having a shaft, allowing the implements to be holdable by both hands of a user. An exemplary implement has an elongated shaft having first and second end portions. A first handhold is adjustably mounted to the shaft and extends outwardly therefrom. A second handhold is adjustably mounted either to the shaft or to an elongated member coupled to the shaft. The elongated member can include a mounting portion and a handle portion providing the second handhold. The mounting portion mounts to the first end portion at a mounting location. The first and second handholds allow operation of the implement by a user with arms in respective neutral arm positions and hands in respective neutral gripping positions. The elongated member allows transmission of a force applied to the second handhold by the user through the elongated member and to the elongated shaft at the mounting location.
