  • Publication number: 20140026370
Abstract: A rake handle curved forward with one hand in front of the other grasping onto hand grips allowing for ergonomic head and neck, and upper and lower extremity positioning, comfort and alignment. It is bolted to a rake tine head positioning the user behind the tines. The rake handle is curved to maximize body alignment and reduce fatigue. The rake handle can be made of metal or plastic tubing, and bent to the desired specifications. The ergonomics of placing one hand in front of the other in a midline position to the body and chest, along with feet, and hips parallel to one another, reduces fatigue and body strain, since the counter-rotation of the shoulder girdle rotating opposite to the hips and pelvis, as experienced with conventional raking, is significantly reduced, and can be eliminated, while maintaining optimal control of the rake.

  • Patent number: 8616098
Abstract: A handle for a garden tool, a kitchen utensil, a hardware tool, an implement, device, preferably cookware and/or a pot or pan comprises a soft, resilient material formed into three horizontally-extending (to the longitudinal axis of the handle) finger troughs. A slight recess for a fourth finger, and a thumb rest, located on the bottom and top, respectively, extend along the longitudinal axis of the handle. The thumb rest is at least partially superimposed over the fourth (or pointer) finger recess and is at least partially forward or distal to the end of the handle as the troughs and the fourth or pointer finger recess of the handle. The soft material (polypropylene and/or thermoplastic rubber) for the handle along with the finger troughs and the thumb rest allow the handle to be comfortable in use, very easy to control the item to which the handle is attached, and still allows for heat insulation between the item to which the handle is attached and the user's hand.

Abstract: A push handle for a transport cart that is movable by hand has a fastening element for fastening the push handle to a handle support arm of the transport cart. The fastening element defines an at least substantially transversely extending fastening axis for a grip part. The longitudinal axis of the grip part is arranged substantially perpendicular to the fastening shaft. The grip part is rotatably mounted about the fastening axis, and the grip part is fixable in at least one position.

  • Patent number: 8561338
Abstract: A pistol grip recoil assembly for a firearm includes a rigid grip body formed with rest structure thereon and connected to a firearm. A substantially elastomeric, resilient and deformable grip insert is received in the grip body and forms a shock absorbing, cushioning backstrap engageable with the palm of a user's hand for minimizing recoil caused by discharge of the firearm. The grip body and grip insert are slidably engaged together by means of a dovetail arrangement and secured together thereafter by a means of a fastening structure.

  • Publication number: 20130264458
Abstract: A box grip is provided that includes a grip shell with an interior. The box grip may include a grip ring with a first hand grip arranged in an interior. The grip ring includes a second hand grip and a third hand grip that extend from an upper edge portion of the interior of the grip shell into the interior. This offers the possibility that a user can grip behind the hand grip and also behind the hand grips because the corresponding sections of the grip ring extend into the interior, so that underneath the hand grips one obtains a free space into which a user can grip with his/her fingers.

  • Patent number: 8549691
Abstract: An oral care implement having a multi-component handle, and method of manufacturing the same. The invention can be an oral care implement having a handle which comprises at least four components constructed of different materials. The invention may also be an oral care implement having a handle comprising a core structure constructed of a first rigid material and an elongated handle body constructed of a second rigid material, the core structure disposed within a through slot of the elongated handle body; and a grip cover constructed of a resilient material that covers a front surface, a rear surface and a proximal end surface of the elongated handle body. The grip cover may be used to conceal through-holes in the elongated handle body that result from supporting the core structure during the injection molding of the elongated handle body about the core structure.
